Re: Bitcoin Chart - Is Bitcoin About to Break Down?
by
Sachubaba
on 05/06/2021, 11:42:21 UTC
The chart looks bearish. Bitcoin is staying below 200 DMA and has formed a triangle.

If the lower trendline is broken, bitcoin may crash.
The chart is bearish technically but your forget the basics. The market will not have bullish time if it does not have a bearish time before. Bearish periods can be big or mini ones. Same for bullish periods that can be big or mini ones.

Not my financial advice but my opinion is the best has yet to come. The market is in a mini bearish period and will experience a few moths with side-way. The next is a big bull run.  Tongue

You may prove right in the long-term. but a short-term crash may be the "end of the road" for those having leveraged positions or trading with borrowed money or newbies who have never seen a serious bear attack.

The first support is around 28800 which is the 50 week MA.

As far as I see, EOS still hasn't been fully launched. We need 15% of all tokens to vote for a favorite blockproducer to activate the chain (now less than 1%).

why a so low number of voting ?

Most investors are not interested in any developmental activity, all they want is to make money from an increasing price. They have no idea about this voting process.

I have problem claim my eos from Myether wallet, i keep saying out of gas, any solution to this

You must be using "claim all". Claim only for the period where you purchased the EOS.

Plz tell me or share me valid links to understand the concept, i couldnt find it in EOS website...

Ideally, it is the developers and block.one that should be answering these basic questions, but they seem to be least interested in concerns of the common token holders.

I hope the scammers and fraudsters will be put to justice.

There is nothing like "justice" in the crypto world.

It's every man for himself...

Anyone knows how we can contact the core team of EOS?

I tried to contact them via block.one but did not get any reply.

Disappointed. Sad.

Try this: https://t.me/EOSproject

Doesn't seem very useful.

A lot of people are asking questions, but hardly any answers.

EOS - Doubt about Keys
by
Sachubaba
on 04/02/2018, 15:54:58 UTC
To register EOS, one needs EOS keys from nadejde.github.io

I am not sure if the keys can be generated from eos.io.

My question is if we generate the keys from nadejde.github.io, how safe is it?

What are the chances of a repeat of IOTA-like hack?

One argument I’ve never seen countered is that even when/if Ethereum scales it will always require transaction fees.

The flip side issue is if there are not transaction fees, what stops someone one from spamming the network with a billion transactions back and forth for DDOS? True Id prefer no transactions fees but we need a plan of how to avoid this. That's the answer I would like to know.

Very valid query.

I think it is best to contact block.one and ask for the answer.

Re: Is the future of bitcoin dependent on India and China?
by

on 04/02/2018, 05:54:29 UTC
And now India? Seriously? India?
One of the poorest country on earth, with half of their population unable to afford a regular non segwit tx is going to affect the price?
Let's be honest about it, at list China had Bitmain and mining farms, India has nothing.

Just look at one small thing:  Number of bitcoin nodes in India 58.  Number of nodes in Lithuania 81.

India will be 5th largest economy in the world very soon.

India's average wealth may be low, but collectively Indians are now a financial powerhouse. There is a lot of money moving around in India.  Wink.

How safe is it to withdraw High Value of BTC at present scenario in India ..? around 5btc.? These are holdings from 2015-2016.. I haven't filed IT return till this date.. not even 0. that's where I'm having problems. ANY  Good CA or someone who can give a wise advice on this particular scenario ..? What are the chances that I'll face any notices..? I would like to clear that all of the money that I invested is purely my own. It wasn't much back then around 300$ in DAO that eventually forked into ETH/ETC

As BTC is not considered currency in India, it has to treated like an asset for tax purpose.

When you sell an asset and make a profit, you have to pay capital gains tax on it. The rate differs from asset to asset and also depends on the holding period.

Don't sell the BTC before you hold them for 3 years. That will lower your tax liability.

Just consult a good CA in your city and ask him to file an IT return on your behalf.

Don't show it as "income" else the tax man will get suspicious. A sudden spurt in income can lead to a tax scrutiny.

They are not going to do this instantly.

Were you born after 8th November 2016?

RBI and government has already issued multiple warnings. Bitcoin holders must be prepared for an overnight ban.

Well dont even bother, Bitcoin is not a legal tender, which means you can not buy anything with bitcoin legally.
So dont even bother.

I agree.

Such deals will end up in a big mess.

Tax authorities will surely get suspicious if a property is "gifted" to unrelated person.

Re: EOS Thoughts?
by
Sachubaba
on 03/02/2018, 07:27:47 UTC
Even though EOS is yet to prove itself, I think it's a risk worth taking.

The extended ICO of EOS token is seen as greedy move and some even call it a scam. I feel the ICO is a masterstroke.

What the long ICO has done is that it has ensured the tokens are widely distributed. That will prove to be big advantage as EOS works on delegate PoS principle and concentrated holding would have made it meaningless.

Also the EOS team now has enough funds to support the project for a few years.

Only risk is that the EOS team abandons or neglects the project once the money is collected.

I don't think Larimer will do that. The stakes are very high this time and any hint that the project is losing momentum will cause irreparable damage to Larimer's reputation.

Re: Have faith in Bitcoin. The internet had the same resistance in the 90's
by

I don't think it is fair to compare internet and bitcoin.

A better analogy is internet and blockchain technology.

Bitcoin is just one of the "products" of blockchain technology.

Bitcoin can either turnout to be "a Google" or "an Amazon" and conquer the world or turn out to be "a Yahoo" and get overtaken by newer competitors.

Re: High Potential Scam - MOBILINK COIN
by
Sachubaba
on 31/01/2018, 03:21:17 UTC
What is not good is that there are people who are taking advantage of this especially multi-million scammers. I believe these are highly organised people and can be consisted of different nationalities.

All I'm trying to say here is to do your homework before investing on this one.

Most ICO investors are not capable of doing any kind of analysis of any blockchain project. Generally ICOs publish just 3-4 pages of information directly related to their technology and rest of their whitepaper is just about blockchain in general and ICO related stuff. Scammers know it's easy to scam in the ICO market - they just need to create a stupid story and investors will throw millions into their ICOs.

People have now started "cloning" ICOs too.

Blocksims ICO is similar to Mobilink ICO:

Will EOS be the next generation of blockchain?

If EOS can do what its developers claims, it will eat Ripple, Ethereum and Bitcoin for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
