These kinds of predictions are a good confirmed indicator that this basically the top, and as I say, it's the top top. Meaning once the rush to the exit begins, the market will never recover again. Ever.

Re: Moving to Canada

Hello all,

I am currently living in Brazil and planning to move on 1Q2018 to Canada.
As in Canada there are BTCs ATMs, can someone tells me if it is better to exchange my BRLs to BTCs instead of CADs?

Thanks!
Gabriela

The ATMs have very high fees. You are probably better off signing up with a Canada-facing exchange like Bitstamp or QuadrigaCX once you establish residency there.

Can my btc address disappear after it gets to 0 balance>?

No, it'll still be in your wallet addresses. But your wallet will probably hide an empty/used address from view. The default wallet procedure is to not reuse addresses.

The admins do help when they can - its only lucky that i had a post with my bitcoin address on it so i could verify my ID.

So did many others, but their accounts were never recovered for them. Glad somebody got their account back.

Re: No exchange, getting SegWit2x?
by

How do you receive SegWit2x without having coins on an exchange?

Specific local client or setup? Something else?

Just hold onto your BTC. After the fork block, your private keys will also have access to B2X coins. Just be very careful splitting the coins after the fork. It would be a shame to lose BTC just for trying to sell some crappy altcoin. The BTC1 client will be compatible with B2X.

Re: why my post is reduced ?
by
Sam Weir

My guess is that your posts are being deemed to be spam by one of the forum moderators and they are just removing them to clean up the forum. I do not know of any other reason for post counts to be reduced. Try to make sure your posts offer some value to others in the forum.

Something unusual is going on. Lots of posts are being deleted around the forum, but people aren't being notified by PM that their posts are being deleted.

It would be nice to know what posts/threads are being removed.

Do you have a merchant token from https://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info to verify the account information? Can you sign a message from a staked address?

Re: ★★ Signature Campaign for Narbonne ★★ Upto : 0.03 btc Per Week [OPEN SR+]
by
Sam Weir
on 24/09/2017, 08:18:09 UTC
Hello to all participants of the Narbonne signature company. I just spoke with Joel on a telegram, why he does not pay money for the signature campaign from escrow wallet, he reports that his computer was hacked and money was taken away.

I suggested that Joel pay you a job with Joel wallet:
16k7uVZvhWYD9JJJoFzqG8NrvL3y8RDxYP - 0.42 btc
and
Joel escrow wallet:
19MMLUfRJRnRwvAMv8wnChLDx3XiFez7RF - 0.15 btc

The remaining amount will be refunded by Narbonne's team.

Pretty weird. I checked the addresses based on romani245's post, and Joel_Jantsen literally said that he paid the translation bounties, and the addresses correspond to those bounties. So obviously he did move the funds.

Hopefully this gets sorted out soon. This can't reflect well on Narbonne...

There are concerns that the signature campaign is not being paid out. The escrowed funds have left the escrow wallet, but no one has been paid. Devs, please address this.

Re: next bitcoin fork in Nov?
by
Sam Weir
on 29/08/2017, 11:05:10 UTC
Best time to buy before the fork because no one knows if blockchain is going to split again or not, from the looks of it  people might greed-split bitcoin again to repeat the same experiences with BCC.

If a hard fork occurs, there is guaranteed to be a split. It's impossible for any other outcome to occur.

if you cant comprehend that core want to change the rules without consent

You have it backwards. Core isn't trying to change rules without consent. They have not proposed to break consensus at all. Soft forks are implicitly accepted by bitcoin users since the Bitcoin software accepts the longest, valid chain. Arguing against soft forks is arguing that the longest, valid chain is not Bitcoin. Pretty silly.

This is definitely a properly written article. It was worth reading.

Agreed! Took a lot longer than I expected to get through it, but well worth it. Definitely provides some fresh perspective on this.

literally as soon as Segwit is included in a major release, he says bitcoin is failing to scale, becoming Myspace, blah blah blah.

I've always cut Gavin some slack but his posts in that thread were...LOL. I think he's still wiping the egg off his face.
