Hi guys,

Due to the Avalon fiasco, we have -all- parts for 31 pcs of 4 module full Avalon units fresh out of the factory - all unused.

Everything is fully assembled, except the Hash Unit boards which are bare boards and unsoldered components, as the chip order was cancelled so they never got assembled.
The Hash Unit boards are by the way with copper plugging, so they are really good boards.

Everything else from cable assemblies to boards and enclosures we have fully assembled in stock and would love to part with them at cost (plus shipping).
Can ship next business day after payment.

The Control Unit board assemblies cost us 74,8 Euros per board, so that would be the price if anyone's interested.
Can pay with fiat or BTC.

Here's a photo of a couple of the Control Unit boards:

For the DIY manufacturers this is good news, as the hardware that's already at hand and would have been trash, could maybe now be used.
We've got loads of parts that have no other use now, and with the money tied on those we'd be able to buy a decent condo.
However the point for that excercise falls away if the new chips turn out to have the same hashrate as before.

Even if they'd be given for free for the DIY manufacturers, it's still in the limit of reaching any ROI, considering what's coming from the competitors, the chips should pack quite a punch to be effective anymore at any level.
For us, electricity is free and still it looks bad.

However, that would be the only reason why I'd even consider anything from Bitsyncom anymore.

Will there be compensation for delivery of chips wich are too late?
Maybe 0.025 BTC/chip?

I think that would be reasonable.
And not saying as a greedy man - just my honest opinion.

Refund for our 10k order was just received.
Thank you, this is much appreciated and already a step towards good business practices.

However still a huge sum is tied up in the DIY gear which is already paid for, manufactured and no way to re-use / return / refund them.
I really do not mean to sound like a greedy ol' bastard, but I agree that a compensation plan would not be a bad idea after this excercise.

As already mentioned there aren't so many batch buyers, I think any compensation would be mined out in no time, while with such straight-fowardness making a great impact on both the receivers and the community.

By the way... the refund form is an invitation for scammers. Before i had read the avalon news i already had confirmation emails asking for confirmation to refund 2 of our batches to another persons Address. I have to clear this tomorrow, of course i didnt fall for this but i hope no one other does in the heat. The batch 3 miner form was better i think.

That's what I was talking about, that's why I got the idea that this must be somekind of a joke.
Anybody could google out some order numbers and get the refunds going to their account in the right circumstances.

Bitsyncom should just refund everybody who so requests and be done with it like any respectable/responsible company would.
Much easier for everybody, even them - no drama.

The situation would ofcourse be different if the product wasn't with DIY costs as expensive as a house, nobody would care less about a few weeks late delivery.

Lead-time is a lead-time.
A lead-time is promised. Shipping happens after lead-time.
Lead-time gets missed - grounds for refund and cancellation of order becomes real.
This is basic business 101.

Next Tuesday we already exceeded the 10-week lead-time even with our order.
Ofcourse refunds would not be allowed during the lead-time period, that's a given.
This should be a no-brainer.

Calling a dog's tail a leg doesn't make it a leg, no matter how hard you try to explain and distort the fact.

I don't believe for a second that this poorly made 'newsletter' is real.

It didn't come to us, and we have a group buy as well as an account on the Bitsyncom ticket system, so who was it sent to?
Just a couple of friends?

Why it's not on the Avalon Asics website, and instead it's on some f****ng Google Docs?
No message from Bitsyncom user here on the forum about it.

The form only asks for the order number and a Bitcoin address to refund to.
No user verification whatsoever.
I know many order numbers... what if I make a refund request for all of them with my Bitcoin accounts?
I get a load of coins, and only our chips and a couple of other orders will actually be delivered.
Rrright...

This is so fake until proven otherwise.

If you signed up to avalon newsletter you would receive email with this link.
mail came from info@avalon-asic.com

Bad for me because I thought I was on the newsletter list.
Seems I wasn't.

What's the deal with the Google Doc in that case anyway?

I think half a week late is pretty good, if chips arrives on wednesday and we send them out no?

How can you be so sleazy? Chips are not half a week late, they are 10 1/2 weeks late. You've broken your no-bullshit agreement, refund everybody who are fucked by your incompetence and keep your worthless chips to yourself. Or you can sell them on Alibaba, you seem to have mastered that distribution channel.

they are ordered on june 15th, not due june 15th... the lead time is 10 weeks, so yes, 1/2 weeks late is correct.

We have requested a refund because we are going to be in deeeep shit about this now.

Our order was made on 18th of June.
Are you telling me that because three days - no refund for you sir??

We made a refund ticket also yesterday for our single 10k chip order, however so far nothing has happened.

Been waiting since August 5th for 10K lot refund ticket to be answered Sam just wanted to give you a heads up maybe others have posted tickets and have been waiting longer than us via the support ticket system for a reply. I update it weekly will add additional notes or information just for the sake future suits that might be required for example Zefirs thread and the reply from Yifu. I wish you and your group luck.

Yeah, I didn't really expect to have any reply yet, however the fact that something started to happen yesterday got me hopeful that maybe they're getting things done now...

We had one 10k group buy - now made a refund ticket for it.
This would have been a good thing but now it's lost.
All the work done for this project - for nothing.

We've got loads of stuff now, all ready to go - just no chips.
We'll use the Avalons for nice paper-weights or something. Works as a table too when you stack some up.

I'm so pissed right now that I don't know which way is up or down.
Yifu's comment about being bad for his chi was the last drop. That's some nerve right there!
Reminds me of the unfortunate BP director who said a similar thing on TV during the Gulf oil spill.

Nobody wanted anything more than just simple promises kept.
Again, good business = happy customers.

Nobody would be 'toxic' here without all the crap that's been happening lately around this issue.
If anything, Bitsyncom would probably be praised and thanked for again sticking one up BFL's arse and showing how the real pro's do it.
And then - this.

As a hardware developer my company will never again even consider making projects that include any products from Bitsyncom or anyone related to it.
Shipping off-the-shelf in the future doesn't matter when you've already screwed up the present.
It's like promising to use the toilet in the future after shitting in your pants.

Somebody make a Hitler video of this... At least that would bring up a better mood...

Angry  Update:

BTC from pre-orders was never spent.  Why-I-Eff-You may not have wallet access/control any longer.   Shocked

Photographic evidence of ~375k chips dates to early July, Why-I-Eff-You claims chips still in customs.   Roll Eyes

All kinds of of sketchy FUD about greed, lies, conflict, and Triad assassins.  No sex though obviously, as this is still Bitcoin.   Grin

No sex with Bitcoin?
How do you know if Yifu isn't just having fun in Bangkok with the preorder coins?
