see their order books spread, and how about the volume

generally, lakebtc is more appropriate for foreigners in Japan to do btcjpy trading, best price and low gap.

but if japanese native are not good at english, they would more favor in bitflyer.

Re: GBP UK bank transfer at LakeBTC
by
SanMerryDro
on 26/08/2015, 08:33:39 UTC
I asked them about this upgrade via e-mail these days.

that's a little similar to p2p market, but not all. when you make a deposit on LakeBTC, Lake Banker will recive your request. of course, I am one of Lake Banker now. then you directly transfer your deposit to me (Bank charges need you to bear), and I put a deposit in advance in LakeBTC account, your deposits will trasfer directly from my account. That's over.

You have to admit that I am more or less played some role in it, so you just pay me 1-50 GBP as a tip (the specific tips depends on your amounts). Nevertheless, it's still spent very little time and cost in the entire process.

Compared to Localbitcoins which is another p2p place to buy bitcoins, I think the fair price is lakebtc' advantage. As we know, Localbitcoin's price is usually +1% to +10% based in bitcoin exchanges, while lakebtc itself is a major exchange, its price is market price, the shaking price charts would never appear in lakebtc, as so far.

thank you, may I ask what time do you work for it? and do you know that are there how many Banker now?

if I deposit £1, it also need tip you £1? can you explain me the fee in details?

I'm not working for it, or can be said any time at work. I never take the initiative to pay attention with if there was a desposit, I have in normal work and trading every day, until recive the notifications by mail.

for the fee, I can't say it exactly, but as for now, my min tip is $3.5 @ $500 (not only GBP, but USD also can be accept by Banker), max tip is £9.6 @ £800

If it can accept deposits $10,000 every day, there will be earn a quite big tips in a month. It almost you did an another job at the same time.

I want to know whether could you accept every deposit?

Re: Bitcoin Exchange Reviews Collection - the most complete!

TBH, I am a bit concerned about OKcoin, and all the stuff that has come out about them. The corporate structure and shady people involved, the lack of security protocols, the belligerence of Star Xu, the allegations of running bots, the exodus of all those executives..... doesn't look good.

Do you have a link to any of this? This is all news to me. I've been away from trading for a while. Was thinking of sending a little bit to OKCasino to do some 20x gambling. Grin

There is a lot of stuff on r/bitcoin. I'm a bit lazy to pull it all up myself. But google is your friend. Wink

heard shady trading in okcoin, and although I don't like okcoin too, but any sample reddit discuss more shady things with okcoin??

any details link?Huh

I'll just leave this here. Bolded for emphasis. Thanks AceWallen for pulling up the link.

I have asked them to do a proof of reserves and publish balances managed by them - really hoping they are doing it.

the thing is, how much trust can you put into that? there was a reddit thread recently where the former CTO stated that Okcoin gamed the audit. here's the link:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/37tm1b/czs_statement_regarding_the_dispute_between/

Quote
I can confirm OKCoin removed a number of accounts (used by OKCoin bots) to pass the Proof-of-Reserve audit in Aug 2014. In essence, these bots trade on fractional (or fictional) reserves. Stephan Thomas was lied to during the audit. This is an unfortunate limitation of the proof-of-reserves method.

And also this:

Quote
Up until the time of my resignation, Star alone holds the private key to the OKCoin code wallet. The backup of the private keys were held by Star’s wife and mother, both of whom are non-technical. Such was the state of OKCoin’s cold wallet security. I have insisted many times to switch to a multi-sig solution. Star said yes, but always delayed the task.

Shocked

if this is true, such shameful shady trading in okcoin is really make me sick  Angry Angry

deposits via EgoPay is currently unavailable everywhere.

because Egopay had been hacked, and all exchanges that cooperate with egopay had suffered a great loss, except LakeBTC, https://lakebtc.com/p/7334?locale=en

LakeBTC's market depth is low, at least the public order is not enough

If you buy 100 bitcoins, the price can be maintained at the current price?

Re: arbitrage from btc-e to bitstamp - is it worth it?
by
SanMerryDro
on 10/12/2014, 08:16:57 UTC
why not buy on btc-e, sell on lakebtc
bitstamp sell price is not highest, and its fee not cheap.

whats lakeBTC fees and whats the spread?

also.. whats the verification process? Smiley

agree, lakebtc is more suitable for arbitrage, higher price than bitstamp but cheaper fee, ( price http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/) and the fee you can see https://lakebtc.com/s/fees?locale=en

the process is a one-time, they never again ask you to provide any proof, if you pass the verification, deposit and trade need not verification, even fiat so, and withdraw btc is also no verification, but withdraw fiat must need verification.

Bitstamp fee is high, and its a very tedious verification system for aml/kyc, why not choose LakeBTC to replace it?

Re: Cheapest way for Canadians to buy Bitcoins?
by

on 10/12/2014, 08:01:43 UTC
lol, certainly it's not cavirtex, you can find the cheapest way at my reviews https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=695082.0  Wink

Btc-e: verification: unknown, process: unknown.

 Huh

usually, btc-e doesn't need verification, but sometime it is must if you deposit fiat via bank wire, so I cant sure its verification and more, my apology

just buy bitcoins, it still the cheapest on cavirtex in Canada

I also think Cavirtex is cheapest in Canada.  here you can compare fee between exchanges

Does Cavirtex have a limitation on the amount you can purchase? QuickBT had a limitation as it only allowed 0.2 to be purchase at a time.

I guess it's no, but i never use cavirtex since i's not bades in canada. and i think if you have usd, you can buy cheaper bitcoin on global exchange, it's very good and easy to do so both on lakebtc and bitstamp which they are bitcoin exchange indeed with no any gambling tools.
