Thanks Dogie for your comprehensive guide to S7. I always read your guide before making a purchase and never had buyer remorse like early days of mining. Cheers mate.

Why Litecoin Could Become the Best Investment of 2015?   Because it hit $15 at December of this year.
I don't own much LTC but it's already up to $8. It may reach $15 by August at current rate me think. Grin

whew, got sidetracked - hello!

are ppl still asking for proof? santa must be real! Grin
Well, it's only barely February - they still have 3 weeks to deliver Wink
( Promises of "lot of data right ater new year" aside. )

They've already been removed from the Bitcoin wiki (bitcoin.it) hardware comparison list, and I amended their main entry (EMIC) to point out that only pre-orders are being accepted and that no hardware actually exists at this time (as per their own FAQ).

I agree that this smells of scam, but at least they're not claiming to have hardware and then not showing anything for it - just the regular pre-order vaporware variant of scam. Getting to be about time that they start showing something, anything, if they're supposed to deliver in Feb though Cheesy

As an aside, if I were crazy enough to order, I'd definitely order the Polish version; Apparently it's 0.02W/GH/s more efficient than the English version: https://emic.com.pl/en/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/shemat.jpg
Good eyes. Since you mention it, I notice the Polish version is 0.023 verses English 0.025W/GH/s. As they said, Devil is in the details.

Lol stop the bullshit already with your tulip scam. People are done with bitcon.
It's only going to crash harder and harder as i have been predicting time and time again.
We've seen another beautiful example just earlier of what the future looks like.
Therefore, you are out for good. Therefore, you have no reason to stick around. You are here, so at least one premise is false. Therefore, why are you here?
Don't feed the Troll.

Very interesting news.

But would anyone care to chime in on this very bizarre trading activity?  I realize this image might be time sensitive (later viewers will only see a current chart)

http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#charts

But seriously, that is a bizarre spike up from the $225 area to $240.....and then an immediate spike back down.
And then not too long later, a spike down to the $215 level.  This happened within hours (or maybe minutes).

It's a fluctuation where there are more sellers than buyers. It's supply and demand. I'm not sure who are the sellers but there are more sellers than buyers I reckon.

ok, i will post a review here;

I own of these cards from https://BitPlastic.com

Now, the card worked GREAT for a long time. So good I ordered another one when first one was maxed out

Problem is that they come from mBank and now mBank turns out to be a scam - NOT Dr. Moriarty, he is legit, far as I can tell

I never had trouble using the card until one day it stopped working

Moriarty explained this was due to mBank - I called mBank and they said I had to come to poland to unblock it. Well, no, i am not from poland!

BitPlastic is replacing my card at no cost but I've still lost the $100 sitting on the card unfortunately
I'm wondering is Poland a new bitcoin scam country like what Nigeria was for email scam? Just like offering 5.6 TH/s miner for $600.00 USD. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=903855.0

To power your new S5 which PSU or PSU's would you use? Why?

Single HX850W? Single HX750W? Single CX750M? Or twin CX600s or twin CX500Ms?

Likely overclock in the future. All PSU's are Corsairs.

thanks all
I'm using two (2) CX500Ms to PSU for S5 since I have couple dozen PSUs leftover from GPU mining to S1 mining days. I bought some new PSUs for C1 but didn't want to bother with cooling system assembly and didn't order C1s. I probably only S5 and retire others in the summer.

In case nobody noticed, there is a new firmware for S4. Release date 29th Jan.
That's good to know. I shall upgrade to new firmware and give it a try. I had no problem with older firmware but I want to see if there is an improvement.

Seems too good to be true. If legit and product works as described, it's by far the best buy in the Industry.

@EMIC,

In addition to sending a review sample to dogie, I think the idea of starting to sell them on EBay will help you to build trust.

Here's an example of why:

Last year I bought a 1THS Dragon on EBay and paid via PayPal. The seller never delivered the product within the time frame he stated on eBay.

I opened a dispute resolution claim with EBay.

EBay contacted the seller. The seller could not prove they shipped the miner ( or ever intended to ship it).
I was reimbursed 100%...and the seller was de-listed.

So in your case, once you gain trust for delivering through EBay, "word of mouth" on forums such as this will help you. Then, you can resort to using your online store to sell your miners.

Somewhere is Poland is a dude jacking off all over himself because he's now planning to sell at least three devises via eBay to himself, along with leaving three positive feedbacks. Then, he'll return to this forum offering up proof that EMIC is legit.

That said, somewhere in Poland is the same dude whose weewee just went limp.

Plan C: More cowbell SSL certificates.
If it's a scam, it would have had few newbie miners' money. But with BTC being so low, I don't think there are anymore newbie miners. It's very tempting buy since if it were true, it's profitable mining at the price of the miner.

P.S. I sold my bitcoins @ $437
Good for you. I sold @ $450 but bought it all back at $350 and felt good to gain additional bitcoins. I'm feeling so good now but this shall pass. I only invested on bitcoin what I can afford to lose including purchase of hardware for mining. I'm in for the long term so if BTC remains, I'm hopeful.

Price is going to reach $5-10 by the end of the year.
You much have sold all your BTC and in fiat. I personally don't think it will drop below $150.00 but I'm hoping go back to $300.00 plus range and stay there.

That said at this rate should have said will we see single digits again and I'm sure we might get some interesting votes there.
I started the lowest price bets on BetMoose.

I will order after it has been proven operational. No more Pre-order for me. I've learned after dropping over $14K USD into mining venture to know Pre-orders never pays.

Tried different pools, but the same 2 'x' asics failing appears again. They fail just after running for 30min or more. Fedup with it.

Today i saw a strange thing in 1 miner which was working good till now. few Asics got dissapeared in 1st row. So i restarted, then half of '0' got replaced with '-' . Again restarted and its working fine now. What is it with this weird behaviour?
my miners are not even a month old and have problems Sad

It appears that unlike S1 workhorse, S4 is like a bitch. It work good for couple days and stop hashing until after hard boot. It's very temperamental and have to keep an eye out. I treat my S4 like a high maintenance woman.  Cheesy

I always recall Bitmain being very clear about OC'ing voiding the warranty.  Just because something is capable of doing something does not mean that the manufacturer cannot warranty void that behavior.

Go buy a Jeep and take it off road and brake it...they will not fix it!
Go buy a Corvette and brake it at the track...they will not fix it!

Pretty standard stuff.

ig

Why would you buy a jeep if you didn't want to take it off road....and yes they will fix it...

He's suggesting if you take it off road and ram it into a rock, its not going to be covered under their warranty as that's not something that is warrantyable. In the same way that if I feed an S5 24V and it explodes, its also not covered under the warranty.
We are not talking about using S4 for anything other than different settings that are available to miner on the advance option. When you buy a computer, user setting is available because you are allow to change it. I think analogies should related to computer equipment with user setting than vehicles. Nevertheless, if you drive a Corvette on the track, you do not avoid the warranty. Of course, anything that you buy and you break it, warranty is avoided. However, you drive a Corvette on a race track at 190 miles/hr and blow head gasket, warranty covers since speedometer reads up to 200 MPH. You normally don't drive above posted speed limits not because it would avoid warranty but don't want speeding tickets. 65 MPH is about the highest legal speed limit in US. But it doesn't mean if you drive at 200 MPH which is about the maximum, warranty is avoided. Unless, of course you crash into something.

1. I still can't find it ANYWHERE on your website. I have looked on the product pages, support page (where I thought it would be) and the about us page.
2. I can't see in that Warranty Disclosure where it says if you use the easily accessible menu option and change those frequency settings, the warranty is the void.

I believe that if this is the case, you should be including that in the Warranty Disclosure. And the Warranty Disclosure should be easily accessible via the product sale page and / or the support page.

It would also be courteous to have a warning on the Miner Configuration > Advanced Settings page in the Antminer firmware. Something like "WARNING: Setting the Frequency greater than 200M or Voltage greater than 0725 will void your warranty!"

These are just suggestions to help lessen the confusion of customers. I only know about the warranty because I follow this thread, but a first time user would not expect to look in the forum for it.
Even I follow the thread, there are over 106 pages and counting. I too have not seen where it said changing the setting will avoid warranty. Anyhow, I have clock down from default to lesser since when it gets warm, S4 tend to stop mining and fan speed goes to near 4000 RPM and shakes. So, far at fan speeds below 3300 RPM seemed to be most stable

The price will start around $350 for the beginning of 2015 and end just over $500 by the end of the year.

Unless the ETF is announced.

Are you just shilling your wares with no basis for any of your lofty claims??
What basis are speaking of? Bitcoin price in 2015 is anyone's guess. Price is determined by the seller and buyer much like supply and demand. It's has no other tangible measurement to determine the price and there is no governing body to set the price. It more people wants the BTC than supply, BTC will go up. If more people get rid of their BTC to pay necessities, BTC will drop. IMHO, BTC does not have value foundation. It's the idea of being able to transact without borders or high transaction fees are the main attraction to BTC but what's the value? It's anyone's guess.
