We decided to do something good for Christmas then XmasCoin is born.
The intent is to donate a portion of the proceeds (50%) to charitable organizations while the other part will be used to giving more resources to the BlackBox project at a delicate stage.

We have chosen this name specifically because we are in the Christmas period and we wanted to do something good for both the others and for the BlackBox project.
We initially planned to end on the December 25th but we were aware that we had to work hard to earn your trust then we opted to end after the effective term of the holidays in some European countries ("Epiphany").
This doesn't mean that use of the currency will remain tied to this period.
On the contrary, we are working to create a context and an ecosystem to guarantee its use throughout the year.
Obviously much will depend on how initial coin offering goes.

The goal is to analyze human behavior end environment for the assessment of possible threats be they people or situations potentially at risk.
Naturally the system also allows a more traditional monitoring.
Currently we focus on software aspects to have good compatibility with a wide range of existing devices (cam, sensors etc) so at this time, we have no plans for the development of specific devices.
