I see many people asking for opinions about ICO investments, if they are good, profitable or not and I see many people replying it can be good or not, you must have knowledge to choose a legit ICO, to find out who are the developers...
But I would like to hear successful stories about people who invested in ICOs and made profit. Please, tell what ICOs you invested and how much profit you made, if you liked it and if you still look for this kind of investment.
I placed $5,000 back when waves ICO launched at 16 cents a coin. this gave me 31250 waves tokens. 10 months later waves hit $7 a coin.. I think
I would also add TenX (PAY) to that list where I made some money.. not as much as waves but I did make some.
it is not the fact that bitcoin is dead the people sometime says wrong statements which is disturbing for the users but when the users of bitcoin become attached to this then they realise the importance of bitcoin and they are doing best for this crypto currency they are not come in the people talks in the society. through this action the bitcoin become more familier among the other users as well.
They do that to cause fear and panic in the system causing the faint hearted ones to sell off their bitcoins for cheaps so that they can buy it all for themselves when the prices of bitcoin takes a tumble. Its an old trick by the bad guys and they seem to be succeeding in recent times.
I would also add that it's fear.. people are not brave enough or have courage enough to take risk on something that doesn't provide historical data to help them feel better about their investment. so this is why they scream "its going to crash!" or "its dead!"

Re: Feeling regret after (Not trading, not gambling, etc...)
I always have that feeling. Regret. I had 300$ 4 month ago, and I told myself.. "Dude BTC will never go higher than $2,000" When it reached $2,500 I told myself "Now it is on the peak". Gambling scene: "I won't join this round it won't go higher than x2" *Yes I love bustabut* Then the round went higher than x200 Technically I was not right. Every time before I sleep I just imagine, and I am sure of that.. If I had taken the right decisions I would have been rich.. So am I the only one fellas? I would be so happy to know that I am not the only one #Dontattackme #From100Bucksto10Grands
Hey Wait! I have like 100$ now.. What is the best way to do with it.. I will be like offline from internet for over a year.. I wanna get profit after I finish my last high school year. Suggest!
pick up some BTC, ETH, Waves, or PAY and then just forget about it for your year offline. you should be fine when you return.
If an user is saving their bitcoins on Electrum and an contentious fork happens, what determines what end of the chain will be followed? Does it all comes down to what the developers want to do with the software?
Shouldn't a system be developed that tells you a fork happened and lets you what chain to follow, or could this end in a total mess?
This is why I have never liked SPV wallets, you are the mercy of someone else when these things happen.
SPV look amazing.. they are the ones with the best GUI you see most of the time.. but as I have learned in the space, its much better to have your own bitcoin node. So I continue using CORE and all the other wallets that download the full chain.
maybe we can all get together and design an exodus like wallet that holds the Nodes to the currencies it supports.
this will throw some shade to btg, good luck to all believers of this coin. Greedy people will always find a way to scam or take advantage if they have the chance to. I feel sorry for those who lost their btc jst to claim btg
Bitcoins very volatile prices have reignited the debate about its usefulness as a currency or as an asset. In some ways, Bitcoin suits the definition of currency quite adequately but if the volatility is less. It allows for the creation of secure and transparent transactions. Thus, can be used as a secondary currency in future. Some of the experts have huge concerns over its volatility. But, sooner or later the prices may remain less volatile as of today.
Bitcoin is difficult to explain. I also felt difficulties in understanding bitcoin for the firs time. Let's share how to explain bitcoin to children of teenagers. In My country I can say 98% children don't know bitcoin. In fact, bitcoin can be future money. If the children not familiar with cryptocurrency or bitcoin, how can they face the digital era in the future.
I have for the last 2 years been teaching teens and preteens about bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I have learned that because they don't have preconceived notions about how the world works, its much much easier to teach them about crypto than someone in the late 20s or higher. kind of in the same way as 2 years olds understand how to use iPads, and some 40 year old struggle and need help with the basics of iPad and they have to have their kids teach them.
we all cant prevent the day to come when all the government in the world will pass laws that will put taxes on all bitcoin related transactions. huge amount are now being invested in bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. and the government won't close an eye on this forever. it is simply inevitable...
Yes, sooner or later government can't ignore bitcoin anymore and they are going to imposed tax on it. This is the result of bitcoin gaining popularity lately. Its inevitable, a lot of cash in flowing on the ecosystem and the government want's to get a slice of it. And I think that it will bring more good to those people who are into bitcoin and for those who are thinking to join the market later South Korea.
Why would paying tax on bitcoin bring "more good" ? I think we can agree nobody likes or wants to pay tax on their btc.
I see alot of people are holding Bitcoins and are convinced that their coins would multiply in value. The same people preach the Bitcoin ideology that its P2P, decentralised, low to nil send or receive etc.
However, only a small group of people today are using Bitcoins as they were intended. And the fees are not exactly cheap to buy Bitcoins, not to mention those exchange places are basically like banks.
So my question is, are you a True believer of Bitcoins and other Cryptocurrencies that it will one day replace paper money, decentralised and all. Or are you only a believer that the price will continue to climb and you'll one day be a millionaire?
I simply find it fascinating that its apparent, people are preaching the benefits of Bitcoins but they are not using them. Preaching to newbies and drive up the demand and prices of the coins. Rather, I would love to see people who really believe in Bitcoins, actually going out there and using the coins to purchase products, send/receive coins and let the coins circulate around. I would love to see that day. When the prices are not so volatile, and the coins are being used as they were intended. However, not being volatile also means the prices would rise sharply like it has been this year, which also means you wont be a millionaire holding onto them coins.
So are you a True Believer?
true believer here.. but I'm a true believer in cryptocurrency as a whole.. not just one coin..... as long as I'm invested in some we will all grow together.
Is it still just rumors, or has it already been confirmed that the project was abandoned? Sometimes developers have a lot of work and have no time to answer all the questions in the forum ...
Well they had the time to take down their webpages and every detail linking them to this project so... Effort went into something, and it wasn't Public Relations.
I thought they were just sitting quietly or changing the communication channel .. If everything already disappeared it certainly did not happen by accident..
It is not helpful to decide either bitcoin or altcoins or always try to swap those. Most people just lose trying to do it at wrong times. Just hold bitcoin and good altcoins will keep you ahead in long term.
I agree. you should just take small portion of your bitcoin and keep it in alts.. and then let those grow on their own while keeping bitcoin. basically 2 separate portfolios. manage them separately. instead of running back and forth between bitcoin and alts...
It seems like it will hit its ath again. But it might not be possible because of current market's market cap. It is about to crash, it is my opinion but it is probably true
