Hi. I know around a year ago all the bitcoin debit cards stopped working. Ive emailed a few companies and they all tell me they still have no solution for a new bitcoin debit card. There are a few US ones but I am looking for a Euro one. Does anybody know any companies now offering a bitcoin debit card in euros?

Can you recieve stolen bitcoins using a bitcoin mixer?
by

Hi. For people that use bitcoin mixers to mix their bitcoins, is it possible that somebody may actaully end up with stolen bitcoins? So in this case, using a bitcoin mixer could be far worse. For example if these stolen bitcoins are being tracked, then is it possible legit users using a mixing service, could end up with stolen bitcoins? If so, is there any way to prevent this or to find out if you have received stolen coins?

Safest way to login to web wallet?

Hi. I know desktop wallets are safer but I have a question regarding a web wallet. What is the safest way possible of logging in. Please can you rank these in order of safest to least safest. I see four ways of potentially logging in:

1. HTTPS address + Tor browser + Onion address
2. None HTTPS + Tor browser + onion address
3. HTTPS address + Standard browser + Clearnet link
4. HTTPS address + Tor browser + clearnet link

Can a transaction be traced like this?

Hi I have a basic question about bitcoin. I am wondering if a bitcoin transaction can be traced like this.

For example I have some bitcoins in my online wallet, I will use localbitcoins.com as an example.  I then send these bitcoins to a desktop wallet such as Electrum. I know that this transaction is recorded and its easy to trace this transaction. But what would happen then if I was to send these bitcoins from the Electrum wallet, to another completely separate online wallet? Would somebody be able to know the funds have come from the original localbitcoins wallet, to the third completely separate wallet?   I know a mixer can be used, but my question is without using a mixer.

Hi. I am looking for somebody who has a large amount of bitcoins to sell. I have clients who will pay directly to your account by cash deposit or by bank transfer.  And in exchange I would like to be paid in bitcoin. So that you can be sure the payments you receive are legit, I can instruct my clients to do a cash deposit into your account, instead of a bank transfer. I am looking for somebody with an account in the UK. If you require cash deposits only, then your bank would need to be one of the major high street banks that accepts cash deposit.

This is difficult and risky. The instructing of clients part is the riskiest because this is how MITM scams are perpetrated. Scammers put up sale ads for cars, boats, laptops, phones etc and if someone offers to buy, the scammer instructs the buyer to deposit money into the account of the bitcoin trader. The victim thinks the bank account belongs to the person they are dealing with. The scammer identifies himself as the owner of the bank account.

While the above is happening, the scammer offers to buy bitcoins and pay for them by cash deposit. The person paying for the bitcoins is the buyer responding to the ad for a car or something else and has no idea he is depositing money for bitcoins. The coin seller thinks the person paying is the same person offering to buy coins. It's an elaborate scam which is why "instructing clients to do a cash deposit" is a risky scenario and should be dealt with carefully.

Good luck with this but I feel it is fair to inform and advise members of this forum about the risks.

Hi. I would understand your point if it was for large amounts at once. But the amounts I will be dealing with are around £30-200 at a time.

How much btc were you looking for?

Depends on how many clients I get. I would start slow at the beginning. Maybe only around £1000 a week.

What's your rate?
I accept transfers only and work through escrow

Bank transfers are okay too as long as its a UK account. We can discuss the rate

I was considering using a bitmixer. In which point do you think it would be best to use the bitmixer

Option 1: Online Wallet A > Bitcoin mixer > Electrum wallet > Online Wallet B
Option 2: Online Wallet A > Electrum wallet > Bitcoin mixer > Online wallet B
Option 3: Online Wallet A > Bitcoin mixer > Electrum wallet > Bitcoin mixer > Online Wallet B

Option 3 uses the bitcoin mixer twice but may be unnecessary.

Honestly, you could just do: Online Wallet A > Bitcoin mixer > Online Wallet B

The less transactions you do, the lower your fees will end up being. The extra steps don't really add much extra privacy.

I thought by adding a desktop wallet into the chain, it would make it much harder to trace the payment. So you think using electrum will add no benefit at all?

Some questions regarding Electrum
by

Hi. I have just installed Electum. I am looking to set it up for maximum possible privacy. I have seen a setting under the Transactions options stating "Coin Selection, Privacy or Priority". The default setting is Priority. If I was to change this to Privacy, what difference would this make?

Under the Addresses section I can see a bunch of addresses which have been generated. Do new ones get added here over time or am I only assigned these for this account? Would it be recommended to use a different receiving address for every transaction or is this not really necessary?

Ultimately my plan is to get some bitcoins from One online wallet to another online Wallet so my plan is to use Electrum in the middle of these 2 online wallets.    Online Wallet A > Electrum > Online Wallet B. I am hoping that by using Electrum I can completely break the link between these 2 online wallets, making it impossible to trace the transaction from Online wallet A to online wallet B.

Of course dude exchanges even count how many times you fart behind your computer, they can check out every thing and link you even to uncommitted crimes lol, that is where a mixer comes in and takes over, you send first to mixer and ask them to send to your other wallet with your own fee of choice.
Also mixers are miners as well themselves and they can mix and manipulate the coins by mining their own high fee transactions with hundreds of small outputs and then receive them all with block reward as one single output and there will be no more tracking possible.

I have been told that a bitcoin to bitcoin transaction is anonymous and impossible to trace between each other. Are you saying this is wrong then? So its very easy to link a bitcoin address to a specific online wallet. If I was to give you a receiving bitcoin address, would you be able to tell me which online service this address belonged to?
Whoever told you bitcoin is an anonymous currency, did not knew what he was talking or lied to you, bitcoin transactions are very easy to link, it is so easy that if you send a transaction you can link them together yourself and see how easy it is.

What I am talking about though is linking one online wallet to another online wallet through a bitcoin transaction.

If I login to my ONLINE WALLET A, and then I send a bitcoin transaction to ONLINE WALLET B wallet. Would these companies be able to look at the sending and receiving addresses and know which companies received and sent this transaction? If so, how would this be done?

Not to me I'm no body and not a detective but there are actually some people in the forum dedicated their time and whole life by linking addresses and finding which belongs to which, so pretty yes you could figure out if you are stubborn and resourceful.

How would this be done? I thought it was literally impossible. So the only 100% full proof way is with a mixer? I wouldn't really trust these mixing services, heard about them before and heard about lots of people being scanned.

Hi. I have two online wallets. I imagine both of these companies keep logs. If I was to send a bitcoin payment from one of my wallets, to another wallet, is it ever possible to link these 2 wallets up? If both accounts were looked at, would somebody be able to see that a specific payment had been sent from one wallet to the another?
If you send them directly to each other then yes they would be able to look at the address history and see that you made a transaction from one place to another. They wouldn't necessarily be able to tell that it's you and they can't be sure you own both addresses unless they look at your data on both sites, but it is possible to guess if you have a history.

I have a feeling this is related to Coinbase and Bittrex.

Hi. Can somebody look at a bitcoin address and know which on line wallet service its linked to? So for example if I send a payment to my other wallet, and somebody checked my account history, saw the receiving bitcoin address, could they then look this bitcoin address up and find out which online wallet it is and which company it is?
