I have two, first one was buy antshares aka NEO at $0.25 and sold them all at $7 ( after that it went even to $198) I remember I felt so stupid.

Buy, I felt even more stupid when I remember that I bought XRB aka NANO above $4 Angry Cry

Here is my own investment advice but not to be taken very seriously because anything can happen in crypto space...

I think the best altcoins you can invest on in crypto space are bitcoin forks, they are very responsive to bitcoin movement and their All Time High is very good too, one for thing is these coins have their halving coming this very year as well

1. Bitcoin Gold
2. Bitcoin Diamond
3. Bitcoin Cash
4. Lightening Bitcoin
5. Bitcoin Private

These coins have their use cases and they offer better performance compare to their king ( Bitcoin ) and their team are very active as well, looking at the past chart of Jan 2018 these coins ATH are massive, buying now means buying at extremely cheap price, they are jumpy, active , responsive to Bitcoin Movement and their Halving is happening this 2020 as well.

Please do not hesitate to do your own research and go through their whitepapers, these are no new projects, they have proven their existence already, thank you

IMO those are the worst coins to invest, try to look for coins with better developers, more activity in their github... besides many other thing, like monetary policy.
Those forks are dead coins.

Hello

Recently I started looking into new projects as I have some free time and I'm wondering what do you guys look at when you are deciding which altcoin to buy and hold.

Do you know any projects that you believe has a bright future?

I hear a lot of people complaining that they bought coins that were either dead in a few weeks or the project was pointless. I would like to avoid such situations.

Thank you in advance.

First thing for me and most important is to check their Monetary Policy, second thing is to check dev team...

Do you think that gambling casino are so intelligent that they detect that a person is going for a martingale kill and for that reason he continue to lose and lose ?  I mean the OP lost 32 consecutive times, that is not normal by any means. Also it depends on which site you are playing as I do not trust all the sites to be fair.
I doubt how it will be possible to face such longer streak of 32 losing bets? Because I just do the math and it shows they must need around 42 bitcoins in their bankroll given that they started their first bet with one satoshi. Freebitco.in is offering gambling only in BTC hence there will be no chances for gambling with any other coin Roll Eyes.

Idk what it could be wrong in your numbers bro, as I said I managed to get around 5 extra BTC from my deposit, so the total bankroll was about 10-11 BTC at that point.

I just found this internet, it seems right because I remember that there was no room for a next bet since my balance was pretty much dead already.

https://ibb.co/7KWHSY3 Using my config wich as I said it was multiply my bet by 61.8% after every lose. The multiply/bet odds was 3.

I think the more longer you go with martingale , there is a big chance that you will lose big money.

In fact there is the same probability of starting killing strike that will wipe out your wallet with every single bet. Every single bet (no matter if first or millionth) can be first bet in killing strike.

I have 2 threads that reveals martingale and 7 variations of martingale - based on simulation with 10 000 - 100 000 synthetic gamblers.

Martingale is system that lowers your probability of winning. There is no need to talk about it/ collect data. Just realize that it is a loosing strategy and forget about it.

Nice info in those thread, taking that in consideration, I was using the Martingale v4 that it shows there The fibbo progression...

Definitely the risk it doesn’t worth, as I mentioned after put on risk my whole balance the profit was like 1.7 BTC. Horrible risk/reward.

This. You may think that with a martingale strategy you reduce your chance of busting everything, but in fact, you do not. The concept of 'losing streaks' is just an example of a gambler's fallacy because individual bets are independent of one another.

^ Definitely right but you need to manage the high risk. My bag was too small when I started plying dice, too small that is embarrassing to mention anymore. 32 streaks you really have a huge bag back then and it seemed that on your post it is not a big deal anyway I hope you were able to recover all you lose during that time. I seldom play martingale game and when I play I only allotted certain amount that I can use for the entire session, in that case, I can handle my loses and not to have a bad feeling when I lose but of course like everyone my goal is to win also but I can't afford to have 32 streaks. I am allotting a certain amount every time I play gambling because it helps me not to get emotional when I start to lose and that also my way to avoid getting addicted.

I wasn’t aware of the risk management while betting, I thought it was kinda reserved just for my trading activity, thanks God I din not lose that last roll, but as I mentioned. I never played anymore...

There is some others way to do cash out. Binance is not one of those, yet.

Their P2P market still really young. If you want USD just buy again an use another service such, hodlhodl, Bisq, Paxful or regulated exchanges like Coinbase, Bistamp, Kraken, etc to get money straight to your bank account...

Not that big, I made a deposit near to 5 BTC months before, lucky or no I managed to get around 10BTC.

For the ones who asked, yes, thank God I did won. After that day I NEVER played anymore.

Worse feeling I ever had it was think that I can lose all my BTC but if I decided to don’t bet higher I was accepting to loss around 75% of my whole bag.

Things escalated really fast. Scary, truly scary.

The main reason is to know the biggest streak, things has change since 2018, there is more casino who accept cryptocurrencies like XLM, RVN, DGB, so I gues your bankroll is “bigger” since the value of the coin is not that big.
5 BTC it's indeed a huge bankroll to started gambling, escpecially you were used martingale strategy. What was base bet did you use? 1 sat? Or did you reset your bet when the red streaks comes and then you bet bigger when you think it would be a green/win?

Fyi, freebitcoin has 5% House Edge, in  theory, you could have "more" red streak actually

It was 1 sat as a base bet. In my naive mind at that point the plan was leave it in auto “forever” and start betting manually after 18 lose streak. That’s why it was so painful, I was doing the last bets and losing one after another in manual mode.

I was increasing my bet after each loss by 61.8% with 3 as bet odds...

Beside the scary moment what make me decided to never do it again it was the profit. After all that mental pain I earn less than 1.7 BTC.. the risk, the money on the table was way bigger by that point.

I’m just trying to collect some data, also I guess this post will be useful for the rest of the forum users.

In my case, in 2018 I loss 32 times one after another using the dice system on freebitco.in.

Greetings
I "only" ever had around 16 streak loses, and it was wiped out all of my balance too since i thought i wouldn't facemore than 16 streak losses just in few bets after i started gambling, but it happened.

32streak losses? How big your bankroll back then to able survive more than 30 streak losses? Even if you only started with 1 sat, it will required so huge bankroll to do that

Gracias.

I think the one of the main focus it has to be a “good monetary policy”

Adoption can come with the time, it may take longer depending of the project, but a bad monetary policy it won’t get better with the time.

You shouldn’t be investing because a coin has “huge demand” right now and you may want to take a look to the historic screenshots on coinmarketcap and confirm how that huge demand normally ends.

IMO a good example of a good monetary policy is ravencoin, limited supply, inflation rate will get lower with the time and users will have to burn their RVN in order to be able to create assets.

This is no an investment advice, is just what I think is an example of a good monetary policy.

Re: Why most gamblers can never hold onto big bag?

I have one friend who used to play dice in stake.com, he started with a very small fund ($100), out of that money, he managed to have a balance of 24 ETH at some point but unlucky guy lost everything in one day. Once again, with the bonus he got from stake, he managed to cross 30 ETH within less than a month but yesterday, he lost everything once again.
How come he lost everything one day? Do most of the gamblers lose money in such way?

Did he was using martingala? If he was using it, losing it all is pretty common.
