Re: Why Cryptocurrency threatens governments
by
SaturnBay
on 20/09/2018, 12:25:24 UTC
Over the years cryptocurrency  has evolved into a global currency but governments are trying to sweep it's relevancy under the carpet. We all know that the eyes of the community are now opened to the importance and blockchain technology.

What baffles me is why are the government making lives difficult by banning or limiting it's use? Is it because it threatens the political power or are they scared it will improve the global economy or force the traditional banks to reduce their ridiculous interests rate which we have been robbed of for decades now.

What is your take on this and what do you think will make governmental bodies to finally accept crypto?

Because they can't control cryptocurrency, what will you do when you can't control something? Kill it or ban it. They can't kill Bitcoin (it's really hard to kill bitcoin), so they ban it (easy way, no more headache)

Without KYC, people can use the ICO for money washing purpose, the other coins which don't run ICO are no need to KYC.

Lol, there're thousand projects in this market, some are just the clone of the others, they have no advantages, the weak will die and the strong will keep long living

Do you have a plan about how many coins that will be sold during the ICO? And How did you determine the number of coins to be sold?

U.S. Dollar can affect the Global Financial Market, cryptocurrency market is a part of it, that's why U.S. Dollar affects crypto also.

Both cryptocurrency and Stock Market are being controlled by "Sharks" and "Whales", so I rather invest in Cryptocurrency because of the high fluctuations

Indeed, but I think it is still worth the try, generally bounty campaigns are easy to get into and easy to complete too, you just complete a few tasks and get what I believe is generally a good amount of money.

I do think so, no free lunch, even not all the lunch taste good, you still have to do something to get it, oneday you will get a good lunch. There're still many good bounties in bitcointalk forum

So no more hope for the ICOs from India, so bad news for the investors. India is a big country with a weak economy, and they still support their "gods" more than technology, haha

Re: Tax on the crypto currency! What do you think?
by

I don't think Tax on the cryptocurrency is a good idea for me, maybe it's a good idea for the government. I have to pay enough tax from my salary, cryptocurrency is another income for me to offset that amount

Re: My Advice on Investing in Crypto
by
SaturnBay
on 20/07/2018, 07:42:41 UTC

Risk can mean a lot of things.  Investing in cryptocurrency means you have a risk of losing money. Your money invested can decrease in value, possibly to zero.  ALL investing involves risk in one way or another. Stocks often can go down in value over periods of time, just like crypto.  Do you remember what happened in 2008?  The S&P 500 dropped by 37%. This decline in the stock market was one of the worst in history.  Severe market corrections are not uncommon, especially in cryptocurrency!

Good article and this was my favorite part. I am tired of trying to explain to people that BTC is not the only volatile stuff in the market. Look at the price of vegetables,  avocados, for instance.
Congrats on your article, thanks and +merit for you.
Thanks for your contribution.
Having a written investment strategy also implements a discipline not to make decisions when unexpected events occur. Where on speculative investment will definitely happen. Going back to your initial thinking can hinder to act emotionally for fear or greed.
Many people that consider themselves traders or investors know a thing or two about it, but they only concentrate on the tactics needed to make money, they do not concentrate on an overall strategy, they do not have a plan and without a plan then you do not know how your investments or your trades fit in any kind of long term plan and this is why most people do not reach their goals.

Almost investors are amateur, they come to the crypto world to make some "easy money" without any experience in investing or knowledge about technical analysis. So something like overall strategy and plan is very strange to them. That's why most people get lost in the crypto market.

You shouldn't invest in ICOs, too many ICOs this time and hard to find a good one. NEO/ETH/ETC are still good choices
