I know this has been asked time and time again, but does anyone have any good advice to make this profitable at all?
I'd be willing to pay if anyone has any winning strategies even a months retainer or something.

I'm just at a loss and not sure how to get the best out of it.

Vod strikes again...
Seriously this guy... Should have stayed gone!

Give a kid power and he starts wars everywhere be goes.
We should get together and start a petition to remove him. I bet it will get 100's of signatures in the first day.

He just *assumes* everyone is out to get rich. Even when you pay back loans and prove it he doesn't care.

He is A grade a troll and unfortunately been given power, which he abuses.
He is single handedly the most frustrating kid I've ever come across.

I just cannot write how much disgust I have for him...

Surely if you look at all the dedicated post about him abusing his power, SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE!

It's funny I stopped coming to this site because of him, first day back and this is the first thing I see. So bloody sad.
The first page in reputation has vods name in 5 dedicated posts.
@cyrus you have to start to see a link at some bloody point

Correct me if I'm wrong but the way I see it is more TH/s is good?
So:
2x S7 = 16.2btc
4860 x2 = 9720
Current maintenance = 28.85%
9720 - 28.85% leaves you with = 6916 GH\s.

16.2btc @ S5 market = 20950 GH\s
Current maintenance = 58.49%
20950 - 58.49% = 8697 GH\s

Thing is I know S7 will last longer, but seems S5 will give more profit for longer?
I.E S7 needs to overcome the deficit of 1781 GH\s before it even started?

Thoughts?

So what's the general consensus on S7?
Expensive but long term gain worth it?

Or but cheap S5 at like 0.9/0.8btc per miner?

Perhaps I misunderstanding what you mean by "cheap".

Today they have 843 items of S7 in stock for 1923.0 USD(8.25672356฿), which will give you 4,860 GHS.

As a comparison, they have 616 in stock of the old S5s for 367.0 USD(1.57547107฿), giving you 1,155 GHS.

Of course the maintenance and power fees differ between the machines.

Maybe this person was referring to the market price of the antminer s5! I teems to be around 0.9 btc

That makes sense, can't understand why I did not read it that way, thanks.

Does anyone remember when they opened up the market for S5 after the initial sale of whole mashines?

Yes sorry, you can pick up 1155ghs on the market for around 0.88btc currently.

That is a pretty good price. Just wondering if it would be worth picking up cheaper S5's or getting some S7's to play the long term game?

Let me preface this with, I'm 99% sure Scrypt.cc is a scam/ponzi or something else not legit.

But I just wanted to say you can still withdraw cash.
2015-09-13 15:40:56 / 1.41700839btc

That was a withdrawal that I actually did about 6 days ago.
They changed the date when it went through, but I requested it 6 days ago.

And here you can see it arrived:
https://blockchain.info/address/1CiAaYaZsLxHtVw3UBrTyawfzwpkiA91GJ

So it is still slowly ticking over. Ponzi hasn't collapsed yet.

what proof you have got so that anyone should believe that you are a user and not a puppet of marcelo ??
Real companies dont work this way...6 days ,2 days what is this shit ..?

Lol I dont care if you believe me or not.
I put down my address where you can see it came out to.

Take it or leave it, all I'm saying is for me it came through.

I would still never advise anyone to invest in Scrypt, but was just letting people know that had already invested that WD are slowly trickling through it seems.

So let me get this right.

You are saying we can purchase Hashnest S5's from Bitmain directly and pay via Credit Card and have it hosted on Hashnest?

Has anyone done a successful withdrawal the past 24 hours? - I am still waiting and 24 hours are up! - sent a ticket (in vain) no answer of course.

Yes I did, took about 12 hours due to manual withdraws from Admin.
But it did come through.

This is my 2nd withdraw in about 3 days, so it is working just slow.

Did he retired?

well he hasn't logged in for a full month now so maybe. though we won't know for sure till at least 2 months from now if he returns

I hope he never comes back unless its to remove some of the negative ratings he has put in without cause.

Learn to read people.
Today is resetting usernames/passwords/pins.

Tomorrow same time, the site goes live with trading/mining/withdrawing

Or atleast thats what they are saying, but the change of information doesn't sound promising at all , since whoever they claim have hacked them could easily
log-in with the old data, and create new ones before the real owner gets the chance to do so. So i don't see this as any security.
Trust me, there will be flood of people with no access to their accounts, if the owner even enables withdrawals, which i am still sceptical about.

cheers

Totally agree, and still hoping for the best.

But that info is widely known already about today/tomorrow... Thats all im talking about now.

Main account stolen
No access , probably mail changed
With new security update , pin is going to be broken to.
Support tickets are being deleted on my new account , all of sudden can't chat anymore .

New security update with phone number doesn't help apparently
Hack
Tickets got deleted
Muted on chat
IRC channel changed with register after I told what happened there
Pin broken
Finally hacker got what he want

All these "random" events

My SCC account it only worth about 50 cents, thats likely the reason why I can still login and I can see my kh on the dashboard. A lot of scam sites will kill the accounts with much more BTC in them. The accounts with a tiny amount of BTC are left intact in hopes that the user deposits more BTC.

Not always true.
I have about 12btc in there and can login fine and see my khs and remaining btc balance.

I am able to login too and my balance and khs are as they were when the sitr got hacked. But i am only a small investor there too. I have about 6 dollars there.

Sweet. That poor guy above you, man he's fucked. Wink

Lol well... I did at one stage have 40btc there.
Withdrew 35btc like 2 days before the 'Hack' (PHEW!).
But in total I've made about 10btc profit in Scrypt.cc so all in all I'm happy

Re: Best investment place? Mining or Investing or Trading?

Just go for trading as it is simple Buy Low Sell High..Just wait for the correct time when to buy and when to sell

You can use indicator as tools for your technical analysis.

So with what indicators do you trade? There often enough is a "correct time"... at least you think... and shortly after it shows you that you thought the wrong way. So care to explain what indicators and entry points you look for?

My Tips for indicator trade is good news and bad news Smiley
also i use more reference like newsbtc for some analys coinigy is good too

I learned that good news do nothing to the price, no push, and bad news make bitcoin drop hard often enough. Seems not so very trustworthy.

And on these websites, do you read their analysis or what do you go for?

It try to not focus on price alone.  Since I am in it long term sure I want enough to keep paying my electricity costs.  But my overall goal is to gain more BTC.  I mine with this as my goal to continue to earn more BTC over the price of running costs.

So far this goal works very well.  I don't worry as much about day to day just watch the BTC grow in my accounts.  I do admit I keep a pretty good spreadsheet that I track each miner and BTC profits vs electricity price so I do not lose money running and it's by miner and overall.

Would you mind sharing your spreadsheet so I can use it for mine?
Maybe Google docs?

Just a clarification about the much used term ROI (return on investment). I just want to make sure everyone's talking about the same thing.

Someone told me the other day that they had bought some hash contract for let's say 1BTC. It is not transferable or resaleable.
Its only value is its projected earnings. He was very happy to tell me that, over 4 months, he had cumulatively received back in small payments 1BTC and that his ROI was 100%.

I have a conventional fiat business background and said no, your ROI is 0%. The 'asset' that you paid 1BTC for has no fungible value so it is a -1BTC on your balance sheet, which also contains a +1 from your earnings, equalling zero, which is the ROI you would have if the contract stopped paying now.
Up until break even, you are just receiving your own money back.

No need for any abuse here (probably get it anyway), it's a serious question because I can see some newbies seeing claims of 150% ROI meaning 150% profit.

You are technically right, but in this forum roi often means that you got your money back (since you lose them most of the time lol).

According to wikipedia
return on investment = (gain from investment – cost of investment) / cost of investment
or
return on investment (%) = (Net profit / Investment) × 100
where:
Net profit = gross profit − expenses.

So if your cloudmining contract repaid itself, but did not generate any profit, it would be most accurate to say it was 0% roi, but it's no fun Tongue

+1 this is exactly how it should be viewed.
Especially for those contracts that you cannot sell up.
