Re: EWBF's Cuda Equihash Miner 0.6

I'm getting close to a 15% increase in Sol/s with v0.6 and MSI GTX1080Gaming X+, core + 170MHz, memory +250MHz, Cuda p2state - off, PL - 69% (150W). Win10x64, GF 411.70
With EWBF's Miner 0.5 was 52-54sol, and now with v.0.6 I have 60-62Sol).
Nice work EWBF!

PhoenixMiner 3.5d is officially released.

Thank You for Yours work!
I like this miner for its good performance and usability. But a few last weeks I have an issue during its work...When the miner try to connect with the developers pools it report an error and several minutes unsuccessfully try to connect to those servers. As a result - I'm loosing about 5% of my hash power during 24h(
For now I will wait for fixing this problem in my favourite miner (Or maybe I need to change/add some additional command in the miner configuration?).

Re: [ANN] Bminer: a fast Equihash miner for CUDA GPUs (5.5.0)

After 2 days using Bminer v.6.0.0 I noticed a slight decrease of rejected shares in comparison with previous versions, but still a little more than in DSTM(
And what about the performance? Well, on my system, it is the same as with DSTM - no less but no more as it should be (as it report in console).
In my own opinion maybe Bminer sending more than 2% to developer and that is why my hashrate on the Pool is 5% less than miner report in console. While the DSTM miner, in the same system, give me only 2% less (as it should be).
For now I will stay with Bminer because it is more stable on my rigs, but I hope the Developer will improve his miner in the next update and we all will have a really fastest Cuda miner for Equihash)

To Developer: It would be very useful to see in statistic how many shares were send to developer too. And we need to see an exact time of working miner, because when the miner work about 20 hours the API report "a day" but not 21h 20min for example. Is it possible to add it in the future update?

Thank you for your suggestions. I will consider making those changes in future.

It is a good idea to make devfee collection transparent, however simply counting devfee shares might not be an ideal solution. Because devfee shares might be at a different difficulty than the normal shares, simply dividing the number of devfee shares by the number of normal shares will not be the devfee ratio. Anyone can suggest a simple but non-confusing way to show the devfee collection information?
How about actual time of mining and time of working for developer in the API statistic (For example: Uptime - 1000min/devfee - 20min)?

Scorpio, pools do not know your hashrate, they only estimate it.
Maybe, but why with DSTM (during several days 7-8 or more) my pool (viabtc.com) report that my average hashrate after 24h (even estimated as you said) is a solid 900-910sol, and with bminer, during more than a month, I always had 850-870sol every day and no more?

# Why the reported hashrate of Bminer is higher than the reported hashrate from mining pools?

Bminer reports hashrate generated by your *hardware*, while a mining pool
estimates the hashrate based on the number of submitted shares. The Bminer
hashrate is different from the pool hashrate because:

1. The Bminer reported hashrate includes the devfee.

2. A small portion of the generated shares may get rejected or become stale due
to network delay and transmission problems. Bminer reported hashrate will
include such shares, but such shares will not contribute to the pool
   estimated hashrate.

3. Your pool hashrate is an estimate based on received shares, therefore it
will vary a lot unless you control a significant amount of hashpower and you
run it over a long period of time.

4. Some pools may calculate the estimated hashrate incorrectly.

Specially, if you turn on nofee option. You will see the same number of
hashrate but the underlying computation is slowed down due to disabled
optimizations.
[/quote]
But the problem is that with DSTM in console my hasrate is 925sol and in the pool I have solid 900-910sol after 24 or 48 hours, as it should be with 2% devfee. And with bminer in the same conditions in console my hashrate is 955sol but in the pool after 24h only 860-870( And that is a big disappoint of bminer. I hope you will fix these issues in the future update)

I was running bminer on flypool and my average sol/s went down to 830...while in the app it was always around 930. Also there were too many rejected shares. After i switched to DSTM may average went up to 890 which is as it should be...DSTM shows average of 905, but if you take away 2% the result on pool side is ok. Definetly DSTM is better at the moment.
I agree with you. Bminer is a fast miner, but as I said before - it is not 100% fair for user, and it seems that miner work for someone else more often than it should be. In my comparisons minimum 7-8% of ours hashpower are going to somebody's pockets, or the miner is not stable for sending shares 24hours, unfortunately(
I will stay with DSTM, which is 100% fair for me.
But if Realbminer can fix it - I will back again to bminer. Still waiting...

Re: [ANN] Bminer: a fast Equihash miner for CUDA GPUs (5.4.0)

I made a little comparison between Bminer 5.4.0 and DSTM 0.6 (24h for both) on my GTX1080+GTX970 (MSI Gaming)...
The results is:
In the miners console my speed are:
- In Bminer: for GTX1080 - 600Sol, for GTX970 - 350Sol (950sol for both)
- In DSTM:  for GTX1080 - 580Sol, for GTX970 - 340Sol (920sol for both)
But my pool (Viabtc) report that hashrate after 24h is: 890-900sol for DSTM (as it should be with 2% devfee and 0.5% rejected shares) and only 850-860 for Bminer (with nofee or with) -10%!!!
And with bminer I have a little more rejected shares (1.2% vs 0.5% on DSTM).
On the bminer side is more stable work (with DSTM I need to reduce a little my VGAs clocks). In my opinion - bminer is a good and stable miner but in final result on the pool it is not as fast as it report in console, or it work for someone else more often than it should be and without my permission?...
Conclusion: for now I will stay with DSTM, but keep waiting for a new version of Bminer with more stable and honest hashrate, because I like this miner for its stable work. Good luck Reallbminer and don't give up!

Results looking good. Running a single GTX1080
Very good result, especially efficiency sol/watt!
Can You share yours VGA settings: what vendor GTX1080 do you have? What is the actual core/memory clocks and core voltage during the mining, nvidia driver version?
Thanks!)

Hi, Realbminer!
I'm wondering if you can do it so that the miner worked in the background?
Thanks!)

5.4.0 has released.

  • Fix a reconnection issue in the network layer.
  • Show additional statistics in console.
  • Allow cross-domain requests to access the API.
  • Fix the compatibility issue with docker.
  • Introduce the option -share-check to make the time of recovering from no accepted shares configurable.

Happy mining!

Tnx.

Need additional statistics in console :

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Strings)
[Info] Total: xxx Sol/s xxx N/s Avr.speed: xxx Sol/s Uptime: xxx d:h:m
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Strings)

Agree. And thanks realbminer for nice update

@MagicSmoker ... whatever you say.

@realbminer: I found a quirk.

Code:
[FATA] [2018-02-07T15:12:32+02:00] Irrecoverable errors from watchdog: Client hasn't received Accepted Shares for 5 minutes

When using a single card with high enough difficulty it's possible that a share is not found in a long time. It seems this happens when the pool doesn't send a new share within 5 minutes, but that's not an error, the miner shouldn't disconnect. Could you add an option to tune this time window please?
I agree, it will be very useful. In coinotron pool the shares difficulty is too high and for now i need to add comand "-gpucheck 0" and the miner don't restart every 5min if there are no Accepted Shares for 5 minutes, but sometimes it is very useful to restart miner when there are no Accepted Shares for more than 60min (for example).
