I'm going to let it finish syncing and see what I've got.  I have several hard wallets in my cart at amazon and ready to pull the trigger if the coins are still there in my QT wallet.

I believe the wallet version I'm using is 0.8.5-win32

Total Newbie.  Apologies for a dumb question.  Please help.
I've been sitting on a BTC wallet and I a 'legacy' BTC address since 2009.  The wallet starts with the number 1.

It's a bitcoin-qt wallet and I've just opened it.  It was over 730 weeks behind.  There is an orange header at the top of the wallet with a message

"URGET: Alert key compromised, upgrade required"

Do I need to do anything other than let it synch?  Do I need to update the wallet?

Whats the status on this coin now?  I see it listed on only 1 coin exchange - TideCoin  It's easy to mine if you're a spec miner. Just don't want to waste a ton of effort here.  There's lots of shitcoins to chase and they are less "sketchy"
