Hello everyone,

Here's a totally noobish question:

What does -C 3 do ?
Won't mine apparently, here's some log.
The card works fine with -C 1 and -C 2 Smiley

Can I make a humble cudaminer request here?

Okay, Thanks...

Would it be possible, upon error, that cudaminer would automatically exit the terminal?

I ask this, because I can get cudaminer running my 750ti's for hours with higher settings, and not hot, but it will randomly start scrolling erros, stating error in salsa, or sha256, etc... Now, I can lower the settings, and lose like 20 KH/s / card  and run stable. But the error, takes awhile, and well, it'd be simple to just have windows scheduler, set to launch cudaminer anytime a terminal is not active for it, and it would just check like every minute.

So, if cudaminer exited on error, I could get more Khash, and only lose a minute of hashing every few hours.

Thanks!!

i second that, maybe a parameter for it ?

So SebyM is talking out of his arse.

Which happens to be a wonderful talent!

You reminded me of this from years ago. Same 'skill', different guy...

And that pornstar in the background reminded me of.. err.. never mind.

Oh yeah, MoDu, snap at the beginner Smiley

Is this deflecting of the disconnects issue going to make it go away ?

I get it that s/m is a useless stat, but tell me, averaging out the disconnects into a plot with 5 minutes round-up, why do i get +100 kh/s since i move to another pool (10.03, around 15:00 hours on the graph) ?

Yeah, so disconnects are still there.
I'm going to move away for a while and wait for a dedicated EU server or something, i'll follow the thread and return once i see some improvements.

3 days average per equal hashpower spread across 2 pools:

Hashcows: 32 shares / minute
Competitor#1: 52 shares / minute

can you post the command or part in the configuration file that controls this switching?  right now my Kalroth is switching after 60 seconds, it would be nice to decrease it.  thanks

cgminer's --rotate takes the parameters in minutes, so i guess the minimum is one minute/60 seconds
you might get lucky with
Code:
--scan-time 30

more here : cgminer --help

Code:
cudaminer and minerd:
-R 5
will retry the connection every 5 seconds instead of the default 30

Code:
sgminer:
--failover-switch-delay 5
 will do the same

Just got paid as well, all rigs back on Hashcows Smiley

Here's a treat for all Android users:
Install MetaWidget, add a widget, point it to hashcows, log in, select the top area, where it sais 'My Hashrate: xxx Kh/s', apply this regex:
Pattern: (March.*.|Time.*)
Replace: ' ' (an empty space, no 's)

Save it, resize the widget to your preferred size and make it look pretty. The result:

I've been mining here since late November (stayed mining through everything) with 3.2 MH/s. Had some good weeks, had some bad weeks, but they have ALL been reasonable weeks. Mined a little over 3.8 BTC in that time.

Some calculations for you all:

~14.5 Weeks
~101 Days

3.8 BTC / (101 Days * 3.2 MH/s) = ~.0118 BTC/ MH/s /Day

Hope that puts some fears to rest (assuming anyone reads this before rage posting).

P.S. Thanks for all the MONIES Atriz and Nearmiss it's a lot easier mining on here than working my day job...

Let me see if I get this:
3.8 BTC /101 days = 0.0376237623762376 BTC/day
0.0376/3.2 = 0.01176 BTC/ MH/s

right ?

I've been getting stratum disconnects recently ...

Yeh only constantly, That and the fact I earned 0.0001 for 10 hours hashing means I'm off, Thanks Hashcows

We have fixed the issue with disconnects. Though you will still see it on coin switches for now. (I suggest using Kalroth's cgminer fork which makes it about 5-10 seconds of downtime instead of 1-5 minutes)
http://k-dev.net/cgminer/

Payouts once again happen once a day and rounds can take anywhere from 1-3 days for them to be fully traded and paid out.

aTriz, or instead of Kalroth's cgminer, there's a "-R 5" flag that can be set on both minerd and cudaminer to retry the connection every 5 seconds, for those using any of them Wink

Been mining at the cow today, and yeah, getting tons of disconnects, so I just added a second pool with load balance enabled for now :/

I can say the same, 15 disconnects in the last hour, not including the coin changes (another 5 disconnects there, but those were expected)

message sample:

Code:
[2014-03-03 10:07:34] stratum_recv_line failed
[2014-03-03 10:07:34] Stratum connection interrupted

I will divert miners somewhere else until i see better stability.
