I wouldn't bother much with mining since dummies are dumping coins very cheaply. I've already picked up over 4million Tongue

Xardas has the idea...once this goes PoS these cheap coins will be great. Buy time! Smiley

Would it be possible to list a link to the announcement thread on bitcointalk (or other useful info you have found) for each coin on the "Pool Statistics" page? Will make it easier for us to use the research you've used so we can make our best determination on hold/sell.

Thanks for the great pool Smiley

Even like notification area, with a list of coins, and like a certain color would be sell now! This would be nice xD

Perhaps even simpler, to list the various exchange rates next to the per coin info.  Would add a few columns, but they would be invaluable.  Currently I pop open 3-5 exchanges and search for each of the coins we have...would be nice to have it in one spot (assuming the exchanges have APIs of course).

No long term rush...I'm in business...I know the easier things are to do, the less profitable they typically are...so, not a biggie here if this doesnt get implemented Wink

We've been down this road before, and the last time someone brought it up, it was me making the very same assumption.  But now that I am on the other side, I remember why I don't usually participate in online forums...  Having a productive conversation can be like herding cats!  (For non-native English speakers, that's an idiomatic expression suggesting a fruitless effort spent on a near impossible task.)  As such, I will now bid you all adieu.  poolwaffle, please keep at it and do not let us all down.  I can assure you that your efforts are appreciated..

sorry if I didn't know that.
know what? forums are for getting knowledge.
did you know that? you seem to have had a similar experience as mine, so you should Smiley

/offtopic

Perhaps he was referring to very same discussion had in this thread on page 2, 4 and 8?

I have a unconfirmed doge balance of about 400. Something is wrong. Either we found too small of block or payouts are wrong. With the small pool hash and large doge blocks it should be thousands

What the hell it went down even more after it got confirmed. Where are the coins going?

The last dogecoin block we found was indeed very small -- only 193,881 of a possible 1,000,000.

dogecoin   2014-02-04 03:44:24   8b67e7e8199c7faf046648f3cb7eed7c5b6b5efacd786cc1e39086c25f5777cf   193,881.10278679   valid

But that begs another question...  As it was pointed out earlier, the profitability algorithm knows the doge block reward in advance, so how did it ever determine that mining a block with such a low reward was the most profitable option at the time?

I was a bit curious about this as well. Why wouldn't we (or anyone) just mine the most rewarding block...or just discard less profitable ones?

Odd, I withdrew last night and I had the transaction in my wallet before I got back from the restroom...

What did their support say when you contacted them?

Nope.  The miner hashrates are a 10 minute average (to smooth out variance).  So if you've only been mining for 5 minutes, that hashrate will show ~50% of what your actual speed is.  This is pretty standard Smiley

Understandable, I've seen this on other pools.  Is there an explanation behind why I would see my hashrate fluctuate between 500 KH/s and 2 MH/s when my rigs are reporting they've been chugging along full speed (currently about 1.6 MH/s total)?  I'm certainly not blaming the pool, just curious what I'm experiencing Smiley  I'm not seeing any notable amount of rejects/stales/HW errors.  Could something else be going on that I should monitor for? I hope I'm not asking ignorant questions  ._.

Thanks for the help! Smiley I've definitely been enjoying the profitability here over the other pools I've tried...

I just picked up two of these cards last night and was having temperature issues.  I flashed the bios, but could not get the control unlocked...still stuck at 1.2v.  Would you mind sharing your method for unlocking it?

Thank you!

I use VBE7 to change the bios settings and then use ATIwinflash to flash it to the card, though I put by bios 'pin' in position 2 beforehand.

Guide here: http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/vbe7-vbios-editor-for-radeon-hd-7000-series-cards.189089/

Though I couldn't unlock it to have another program change it, i have to flash it everytime i want to change the voltage.

Hope this helps Smiley))

**PS. Make sure you know what your doing when messing with graphics cards bios', you don't want a $400 paperweight....

Thanks very much for your help...I was playing around a bit and noticed you guys were using 8912 for TC (flip-flopping the "9" and the "1")...that seemed to hurt my hashrate.  I'll play around a bit more with different driver versions...I'm currently using 13.12 and haven't tried the earlier drivers.

This was able to get me to the mythical 730KH/s@1.075v:

This is just an issue with display.  Instead of changing the actual pool server to spit back numbers and amounts of hashrate going to various coins (tougher to test, requires a server restart, etc), the chart of coin mining hashrates was just a quick little hack that looks at the last 1 minute of shares submitted in the database.  What that means is that once we switch, the stats look to lag behind a little bit, even though the hash power has completely switched.  10 seconds after a switch for example, the stats will show 50/60 seconds of the last minute's hashpower going to the coin we were previously mining, and 10/60 going to the one we're actually mining at 100% speed.  We could look over a shorter period without a problem, but the rates become far more skewed by variance.

I have noticed that on my individual stat page that the hash rate seems to lag at times too...My miner shows I'm still mining at ~1.46 KH/s, but often my stats will show far lower (I have noticed it as low as 400 on the website), and slowly ramp up. Is this likely the culprit as well? Display funk?

Thanks Smiley
