Unless you have already posted an address, then a signed message is going to be of very little use to a potential buyer as any address posted after the hack should be taken with a grain of salt. It would be possible that someone could hack an account after the forum hack, post an address, post normally for a few months and then try to use a signed message from the above address to prove ownership.
I think it is pretty rare that someone would not ever post any address after being here for at least 9 months, especially considering that you must post one if you wish to ever enroll in a signature deal
Never been involved in any signature campaigns, taken out loans or given loans... I only ever posted in altcoin section, projects, technical support and sometimes here (digital goods), My posts are generally just helping people or Bitcoin discussion. I especially wouldn't give an address out on here unless I had to due to dust advertising.
Selling because I don't think I will use BCTalk again.
Selling senior member account - 18 +3
looking for 0.5 or nearest offer.
Not sure worth tbh, seen some go for 0.6.
Happy to use Escrow, You pay escrow fees.
can you provide a sign in message from an addy that was posted 3 months ago? This is to show this is not a hack account
Sorry, I dont quite understand, my bitcoin address?
I have never posted my bitcoin address on the forum as I have never needed to.
wouldn't that also allow people to find out the account name publicly and give it neg trust? I don't want to risk this to my account.
Then the problem is we don't know if this is a possibly hacked account or not.. there were recent incidents people bought hacked accounts and the original owner is claiming them.
Oh right, would it be better to sell at another time? I guess this would also make prices lower if there are many hacked accounts in the circuit?
