Re: minimise possible losses in trading

Lol, I’m not the only one that finds it funny when I see people saying that there is no money that can be made during a bear market lol the problem with these people is that they haven’t given a try, they just sit there and say they can’t make money during a bear market without doing anything. There are lots of people making money during bear. I realized that after learning from a friend of mine the right strategies to make use of during the bear market.

Re: I am losing my money because of 2FA and I met with very crazy customer service

You’re lucky they replied you, hope they have given you the 2fa and you’re now able to log back into your account. Next time you should try to write it down, maybe on a shit of paper and keep it somewhere safe so that you wouldn’t lose it in case. If it’s not going to be safe on a sheet of paper you can save it on Keep mobile Note or any of those you get on your phone like Microsoft note and such and backed up, in case you need it later you can take it from there.

Re: $1 Billion Dollar’s Worth of Cryptocurrency Stolen in 2018
by
Sengoko
on 13/01/2019, 06:55:10 UTC
Cryptocurrency intelligence firm reported that CipherTrace’s Q3, 2018, cryptocurrency thefts had already reached $927 million.

Previously CipherTrace second-quarter report said, the company identified that there were more thefts during the first half of 2018 compared to the entire year of 2017 alone. Some $731 million worth of cryptocurrency was stolen from exchanges with some of the most notable hacks including that of Japanese exchange Coincheck at $530 million, and BitGrail that lost some $195 million dollars’ worth of tokens.

As of the Q3 report, the number now stands at $927 million lost in cyber attacks and CipherTrace predicts that this trend will continue. By the end of the year, they say, thefts will add up to well over $1 billion.
Wow, $1 billion is a huge amount of money. I know this is hard but these exchanges should really try to do everything they can in preventing hackers from having access to their sites. Security is a must for every company, they should always do every necessary things to stop hackers, just like managing their computer networks and hiring ‘white hat’ hackers to check out the network and find every loopholes. Passwords too matters a lot.

You forgot to mention one exchange that is currently in Africa and that is Luno. They offer their services to some African countries and I can remember they launched I’m Nigeria last tow or three years. Heard that users of the exchange can easily buy and sell cryptocurrency, another thing being that they can also withdraw straight to their banks. I believe there are also many of them available and offering their services in Africa.

Re: Are Cryptobanks Future?
by
Sengoko
on 13/01/2019, 05:55:39 UTC
Friends, I have recently read an article on the future of the banking system thanks to proliferation of smart contracts, some countries are already preparing cryptobanking projects, and this should happen  the next few years. Actually the conclusion of the article was that the free financial market - cryptocurrency is the future for the financial system. Do you agree? Is it so positive, or will the state regulation complicate things, but in my opinion it is inevitable for the banking sector, in your opinion?
Stop letting anyone deceive you with this crypto banks of a thing, they are never going to work . We don’t even need crypto banks, it is the same thing as the banks you have right now. Crypto was created to have only wallets which let’s you be in control of your money and having your money controlled by any kind of organization. So anyone saying there will be a crypto banks is just lying .

Re: Holding coins
by
Sengoko
on 12/01/2019, 15:49:57 UTC
Coins should always be considered in a safe storage, there are lot of wallets and platform that could be used to hold coins, both of this  has good side and bad. Where will you choose to store or hold your coins, in a close source wallet (exchanges) or an open source wallet like electrum and Hodler wallet?
It all depends, I don’t store my coins one place, I separate them. The coins I want to do trade with goes to exchange and they don’t stay long on exchange cause once I’m done I quickly move them to my main wallets (wallets, cause not one). I make use of hardware wallets, software (including mobile wallets), but they are just few –Blockchain and Nano S Ledger are my main.

Are you into trading? What coins do you like to trade the most and what's your trading startegy?

There are about five altcoins that I’m hoping that they might get into the top 100 this 2019. We all know that most times what we wish for in cryptocurrency don’t really happen (most especially when it comes to altcoins) but a few of them are quite promising and has been doing really fine that you can’t take your eyes off them. And I’m ready to take the risk this year.

Re: Don't love any Alt coins.
by
Sengoko
on 12/01/2019, 13:04:07 UTC
Actually people's learn from mistake. Those mistake I did began, I am realizing now. That's why I want to share it. Perhaps everyone will not agree with me. Every traders have few favorite coins. It's normal fact, but don't love too much any coin it's my logic.

I don't want to mention but I have lost many btc just one coin. Just think it will go more up and didn't sold. In a result price dropped 4X. So I want to say don't love any coin, just sale when you are in profit and go another coin or wait for drop price again and buy it. It's very difficult to recover once drop an Altcoin. One more thing, don't invest your all fund on single coin. It will loss more, who know it will up or drop.
2017,during the last bull run, I didn’t lose anything. When the price got very high to $19,500, a lot of experts started predicting that there will be a fall. Though I was a bit greedy and wanted to continue to hold cause I believed that the uptrend will continue, but I changed my mind and decided to withdraw and after I did that, the market began to collapse. Bitcoin is always my favorite, but I still trade altcoins.

Re: It is not your fault that you are loosing in trading!
by
Sengoko
on 12/01/2019, 12:34:25 UTC
I was thinking this morning and trying to used my trading experienced in analyzing my past performance in trading but I came to conclusions that most times that I lose,  my predictions of market directions is right just that something unexpected happened along the way.
Because of this unexpected reactions in market cycles that is why we should learn on how to manage risk.  Since there are many indicators and we can not used all of them at the same time I believe that there is no way we would be successful in trading except we learned how to manage risk and reduce our risk as minimum as possible.
2019, is here,  are we going to continue in losing trade?  I have decided to love my capital more than profits this year and I am not going to take much risky trade this year.
That’s a lie, I don’t believe that. If you lose in trading then you have yourself to blame, if not yourself then who are you going to blame it on? The thing is that you made a mistake in your analysis (cryptocurrency is very difficult to predict, any slight mistake and you’re messing around with everything) So you have yourself to blame for nor getting it right.

Re: Which ETH wallet supports the upcoming hard forks?
by
Sengoko
on 10/01/2019, 09:21:24 UTC
Hello guys!

I think some of you are aware that 3 Ethereum hard forks are on the way:

* Classic Vision - January 11
* Nowa - January 12
* Constantinople - January 16 or earlier

I also heard that Binance is supporting the forks. My question is what other wallets are supporting the upcoming Ethereum hard fork? Can it be Metamask? MEW? IMToken? Jaxx?

I'm gonna stack some ETH for the upcoming fork, so any advice or suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you.
A lot of them would support the ETH hard fork, but we don’t know them yet. Although I do know that wallets like Trezor, MetaMask and Nano S will support the fork, just saying though. Lets wait till then, before then any wallet you’re using will give out notifications on whether they will support the forks or not. So have patience and wait.

Re: Will bank and crypto industry unite or be linked?
by
Sengoko
on 10/01/2019, 07:10:16 UTC
If this will happen is it possible that decentralization be compromised?
No need to be talking about it, cause it’s not going to happen. You either own it in fiat and you invest in the crypto assets and hold them on your own. Purpose of cryptocurrency is for you to be your own bank and control the money yourself. So if you’re going to be thinking that cryptocurrency and banks will be linked together, then you’re wasting your time.

Re: 2019 first quarter market prediction
by
Sengoko
on 10/01/2019, 06:04:07 UTC
What is your market prediction for the first quarter of 2019?
I focus more on the top cryptocurrencies and that includes: Bitcoin, ETH, ADA, BCH, EOS, Ripple, XLM, Litecoin, Bitcoin SVamd TRX (Tron). These are my main focus, most especially Bitcoin. There are some projects I believe that will make the price of Bitcoin to go up. Bulls are targeting $4,225. If the BTC price crosses this level, the next target would be $5,500.

Re: Any bounty rewards after August 2018 ?
by
Sengoko
on 10/01/2019, 05:34:07 UTC
Hi,

I have been doing alot of bounties but getting no rewarding coins. The coins/token that i have received are all just in the wallet and not on any exchange and alot of my participated bounties have just disappeared. So i was wondering has anyone received any bounty rewards that they have exchanged for bitcoin since August of 2018 ?

The last token that i was able to cash out were in August of 2018, What about the rest of the bounty hunters ?
I think it’s the same for most people here, some of the tokens I participated for have not paid their participants yet. But they will be paying this January and one I know would be paying on March. I hope they pay for sure, I’m still expecting. Most of them are given erc20 tokens (if not all of them)

Re: HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE NEXT BULL RUN 2019
by
Sengoko
on 09/01/2019, 08:57:00 UTC
This is a long talk you have here. But how sure are you that there is going to be a Bull run? And by the way I don’t think I need to be reading all these just to know how to hold coins for bull run, lol. What’s there is just to buy coins that you’re sure will increase when the bull comes, just like Bitcoin, then you store them in your wallets and hold till the bull run comes. No need for all these pep talk.

This year I didn't get that much profits only thing I did was holding my investments , I hope all my patience will pay off next year and there will be bull market and I make more profits  Grin

many investors are in same hope only ?? I would like to know what you guys think about next year,
The price of Bitcoin has been struggling with $4000. I hope it goes up, looking out for it to reach at least $5000 or $6,000 before the end of this January, and I will call that a big start lol. Price got to $4,087 or so, but yesterday dropped to $4,034 and just this morning I’m seeing it is down to $4,027.i hope it doesn’t go back to $3000 circle again. It better stay above that.

Re: Is it good to recruit other person to join Blockchain technology?
by
Sengoko
on 09/01/2019, 07:19:57 UTC
I think majority of people here are very selfish ,. Believe it or not. They are hiding and choose not to tell to the other person especially to their neighbors what is cryptocurrency all about.
They don't want to spread the mechanism of it. And that is very wrong for me.
We must encourage people who have no idea to the cryptos. Teach them how to use and explain what is the benefits of it.
This is also for the good of our industry .
Remember the status of cryptocurrencies as of now is endangered and the value of bitcoins is gradually dropping .
So, the good thing to do is to spread out the operation of Blockchain technology.
I don’t really tell people about Bitcoin, unless I hear them talk about it, then I might try to explain some things to them to help them understand better how the system works. A lot of them I see believes that Blockchain is a way for them to escape poverty, forgetting that investments just don’t work like that, there are risks too.

Re: When the tide goes out
by
Sengoko
on 09/01/2019, 06:32:09 UTC
As the famous Warren Buffett once ironically observed, you only find out who is swimming naked when the tide goes out. Now that the tide is gone, it's time to check what's left and pick it up

Many trading folks, me included, like quoting him, whether spot on or completely beside the point. But the talking crowd doesn't really care about the real insights and nuggets of wisdom this man shares, other than what is right at the surface. And there's always more to his words and sayings than the majority sees. In this post I'm going to show you what it means in practice and how to make use of it

In this particular case, for example, the market crash has shown which coins are going to kick the bucket and which have good chances to survive. But these are extreme cases, while there's a lot of space in between as well as room for action and improvement. Basically, falling prices let you clearly see what assets are performing better and which are worth neither your time nor dime. Bear market is kind of an eye-opener for you and reality check for your investment decisions

And this is the whole thing. Bear market allows you not only to see where your investments are going but also lets you easily unwind them by selling poorly performing coins (if we talk about cryptos) and then proceed to buy more resilient coins at half the price as the market goes downhill. That's what most people overlook in bear markets and so fail to take advantage of. In a nutshell, it is a perfect time to change sails or even the ship itself, tide or no tide
Bear market is an eye opener, but a lot of people don’t know that yet. I think they are blinded by their search for quick income. Once there is bear they all start running out the market. This is the time for you to settle down and use better strategies that will sustain you through out the period. There are still chances to earn even as the market is down.

Re: Is Bitcoin Over?
by
Sengoko
on 09/01/2019, 05:59:40 UTC
To kickstart crypto 2019 I decided to make a Bitcoin mini documentary: https://youtu.be/WgxD5DmS6z8

Things I talked about:

1. Bitcoin's intrinsic value
2. How it could help underdeveloped countries
3. How it could help developed countries
4. Censorship

Now I wanna ask your opinions on my main point which is:

"Bitcoin's intrinsic value is the amalgamation of the platform, its users, and its development."

Now I know some other more famous crypto influencers have mentioned things like decentralization, cost of production, etc., but I think those things are a means to an end and not the endgoal themselves. Like decentralization is for the purpose of censorship resistance and fraud prevention.

So you I wanna know your opinions guys. Agree or disagree doesn't matter as long as you explain your point. https://youtu.be/WgxD5DmS6z8
None of us knows when Bitcoin will end. But one thing for sure is that it won’t end so easily. Compared to other cryptocurrencies (altcoins) Bitcoin is strong and won’t end up easily as altcoins do. Even if 99% of altcoins fall today and seize to exist, Bitcoin will continue to stay. That’s the truth.
