Even CBS's Showtime channel is mining cryptos through customers browsers right now without you knowing or splitting the coins with the customer.

The need for a more secure and private system is real as ever, i wonder who is gonna be the next big E-corp to mine cryptos through customers while also spying on them that gets caught red handed.

When you can't even buy a prepaid credit card for a friend or family member, with cash, without the requirement for an ID, you KNOW that society (as a whole) has gone down the rabbit hole in regards to privacy rights.
and then to top it off they don't even need to protect your information and there is nothing you can do when they release it to the world because they didnt want to keep security up. One of the few things that really pisses me off.
Pretty soon we'll all have required chip implants or something. It really is getting ridiculous.

NOTICE TO THE KORE COMMUNITY:
In preparation for the wallet release we are planning by the end of October, but could be a few weeks earlier
if the unit testing goes well, we felt it proper to let you know ahead of time as it takes time to remove some coins
off the Bittrex Exchange before the release in case Bittrex has problems on their end we have no control of.
We of course will have tested the wallet to make sure it functions as designed on Bittrex end, but ya never know...
I'm only posting this because we have seen other coins in the past have issues with the exchanges wallets.
This is just precautionary, not a request and decided it should be made known rather than not say it.
I do want to make clear,... We do not expect any issues with the new wallet...
I will post this from time to time so everyone sees it.

There's a rumor floating around that Amazon will start accepting BTC. Possible announcement in October. The value of all cryptocurrencies will soon be realized by the world and as soon as that happens, people will naturally awant private and secure alternatives to BTC. I see great things in our future with Kore.

I know our community is security minded. That being said, if you're on Android like most around here, make sure not to use patterns for security.

That is pretty odd (even as kyc goes) but I guess if you run a web only operation where you don't see your customers in person at any point, what other option would you have...
The good thing about this aml/kyc stuff is if you aren't doing anything nefarious you USUALLY don't have anything to worry about. I say usually because governments (esp US govt) have been known to seize large amounts of money first and ask questions later. When this happens to legitimate people it's disgusting. They usually have court battles they can't win because the government took their money. Not trying to scare anyone but be careful. Also google "innocent civil asset forfeiture" to read more about this crap.

Interesting read. I feel that more and more the governments of the world disregard our privacy. Specifically our internet privacy. It's to the point where "internet privacy" sounds like an oxymoron. We need more projects like Kore that are focused on protecting our privacy. The article mentions that the UN decided internet access is a basic human right. So is privacy!

I want to get a VPN setup. Has the wallet been tested by anybody through a VPN? I wasn't sure if it would be an issue since the wallet is tore based?

A significant victory for privacy in India. This also deters other countries from collecting large scale biometric data IMO.

As a member of the Kore community, I am excited for this technology to reach people that need it most. The folks in India have their privacy extremely compromised and they need a way to be anonymous.

Has anyone been able to get a Kore wallet running on a raspberry pi? I just got one and I'm curious to see if it's possible before I start trying.

KORE has been in Hibernation for a long time while we regrouped, rebuilt an Incredible Team that I'm absolutely impressed with that are working their tails off even making new advancements.
That said people sell and buy for many reasons and we have seen some no doubt open
their wallets and Bittrex accounts after a long absence, saw the price rise and
been taking some profits and maybe some of them did not even look at where
KORE development is at this time and just are dumping their coins.
This in the long term is good for KORE because it is a wider distribution of coins.
It will take time for KORE to reach a well deserved marketcap and personally I'm pleased
with this slow growth. I'm sure we will get some breakouts along the way and
possibly a few huge ones as we move forward with our plans.

And still the coin is dumping? For a tiny market cap coin I've never seen such a bearish, dump happy market.
Doesn't bother me; I'll just keep buying and holding. A bear market means I can acquire even more. This coin is on the move.

Hello all, I just wanted to let everyone know that the Bitzure exchange worked out ok for me. I deposited a few Kore coins, then I withdrew a few as well. The deposit and withdrawal features are working as expected.
