While playing on PD I'm trying to understand the provably fair verification code. So far so good, but what I don't understand is that I don't see the 1% house edge in the calculation of the rolls. Am I missing something?

The rolls numbers themselves aren't influenced by the house edge - the 1% edge affects whether your roll number is considered a win or not (ie. The range of values your roll number has to be within for the system to consider it a win.)

hello,

I would like to know more about the jackpot in primedice. Is it two 77.77 consecutively or in a row?

You need to roll 77.77 twice in a row (two times 77.77 one after another). The odds of this are 1/100,000,000.

I have never seen 2 identical roll number in a row, but since it is something added by primedice which has been trusted forever, one day we'll see that lucky roller take that jackpot home. Cheesy

I've gotten a two numbers in a row a few times - it's not the rarest occurrence if you're not looking for a specific number.
But exactly 77.77, twice...now that's rare!

I will take legal action for sure, will not cost me much, just because they have given you some shit title called CEO does not mean you earned half even a 10th of what they have, still some chump running support requests lol, what they done was illegal and I will follow up with this

Aagh you lost a few pennies. You went yourself to the website to bet, so it's your own responsibility, legal or not.

Or did they force you to bet???  Roll Eyes

Rule number 1, play only with the money you can afford to lose. US-based players that I know also have restrictions, but I never heard them complain or ask about a refund for the money they chose to gamble. For example, if you won, will you be willing to send them back your winnings?

I think if they stop take deposits from the UK they should also not steal it. I someone deposits something to play but the site does not allow them to play because it is illegal in their country just send back the deposit minus tx fees and tell them they are not welcome anymore?!? Or do i miss a point here?

Huh, what do you mean by "steal it"? Even if a user from a restricted country somehow gets balance on their account, they can freely withdraw it to remain in accordance with laws.
If they instead choose to play with it on the site...they do so at their own risk, since they're the ones bypassing PD's country-based restrictions at that point.

There is this user on your site:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1947430.0

Who is advertising a "Free Giveaway!" for your site.
But when you connect they are cleary saying they are not giving away anything and that others "On the site" are giving away.

This is allowed to advertise using your site name and then smearing it saying they are not giving away anything to NO ONE and even saying they will ban anyone on their twitch channel chat room if they are begging?!?

That user should be banned from your site with playing around with people and drawing them in to their channel and then directing them to your site in the hopes to get referral bonuses.
They are from France so they are just bullshitting people.
THAT IS CLEARLY ENOUGH TO SEE! Roll Eyes

This is a side-effect of PD encouraging users to run public streams - on which some users do perform giveaways and whatnot.
I think using a stream to promote a reflink (not even actively promoted, it's just in the video description) is a reasonable way to do it (and the referral part isn't being hidden in any way). Better than spamming it on forums or trying to trick people into using it by disguising it.

Naturally, you're entitled to your own opinion on this - but asking PD to impose standards on and moderate off-site interactions is a bit onerous...

Guys do you know how to recover your account on primedice i have many old accounts but i didn't put any password into it and i try many times to open it but i can't access any of them, is there any way to open it ? i appreciate any tips guys

You just create a support ticket.

I had an old account with 0.2BTC balance on it because on another site I withdrew to the wrong adress.
I didn't have the password for this account.
Asked support and they were very helpful.
It took a quite long time of course because they want to be sure you're the real owner. I had to sign multiple messages from different addresses and all. But In the end they gave me back the account even though I lost everything concerning it ^^

thanks sir for your advice but if you can help me one more time, i don't know to create a support ticket would you mind give me an idea how to make it? so i can participate to the primedice event through my old account i hope sir you can help me one more time

These days support isn't being done through tickets - they now have 24-hour live chat support.
Just make a new account, and click on the chat message icon in the bottom right to start chatting with support. As long as you can prove ownership of your previous accounts (eg. Through signed message from one of the addresses you deposited with), recovery shouldn't be a problem.

-snip-

with many accounts you can make many claims and transfer the claims from faucet to one account

and get banned or muted eventually and lose all the accounts, the choice is yours
you can have as many accounts as you like, but you cannot claim faucet on more than one or chat to get rains and promotions on more than one
simple rules, primedice is pretty liberal in this regard
but people abusing the system is the reason that we cannot have nice things Smiley (or more nice things)

Honestly, it's hard for mods to spot really determined abusers these days because tips can be made private.
But with the tiny base faucet amount and the amount of time wasted doing Captchas, you might as well just use a normal faucet site - most of them also don't have a 300k withdrawal limit. =P

Some good news about Bonusbitcoin.co faucet - now it's available to withdraw bitcoin, which were locked after faucet got ban from Adsense. Today I received withdraw with all my earned satoshi.

Thanks for the notice! I stopped visiting there for a while, but I had a bunch stockpiled there from before the balances got locked.

How can I trust primedice. I just take 10% risk. when I place small amount bet That's time I won. But any time I increase my bet that's time I lost. It's primedice regular scene. If primedice seen you won good ammount then there take action against you. Result you lost that's time. I just want to back my money.

[...]

Actually you took ~10.5% risk. Firstly, sorry for your big loss earlier when you played at 1.42x multipler, but you know all of your bet are provably fair, you can check by yourself each of your bets. So, there is no refund because all bets already verified. Assume you were won earlier, would you like to send back your winings to primedice?

primedice says there provably fair but what kind of provably fair is it ?

If you click on the Fairness link in the top menu bar of PD, it gives you an explanation of what "Provably Fair" means and also provides you with the information and resources you need to verify your roll numbers independently.

The faucet cooldowns/restrictions have been fixed. You can claim 50x per day, and your first claim puts you in the 24 hour cooldown window, before it was wrongfully resetting the cooldown so it was possible to claim less than 50x and hit your limit.

This update was pushed recently, people currently at their limit will have to wait 12-18 hours and it should work properly after that expiration point.

Thanks for the update on that, Stunna! Now that its behaviour is fixed, 50x per 24-hour period seems like a very reasonable limit on faucet claims.

Hi

I'm testing my scripts to use the api and some functions do not work

for example

/users/1    -> Work

/deposits   -> Work

/deposit    -> NOT Work RESPONSE: "Deposits are currently unavailable due to maintenence or technical reasons."

Sorry my english, my first language is Spanish

Thank You

Yes, unfortunately there are currently some issues with deposits on the site, which is probably why the function was temporarily disabled. The issue has already been raised with dev, hopefully they can get it resolved soon.

Downtime is starting! Please be patient while the dev works on the site for a short while.

Is our balance will not hurt?

Your balance shouldn't be affected, this is just some necessary maintenance work.

Pd is not closing?

No, they're not closing. They're doing a database migration to more effectively deal with the volume of data they're handling.
(They mentioned to expect downtime in previous posts in this thread, you can get a few more details on what exactly is happening there.)

See in games and rounds there are promos for accounts over 3 months and was wondering if you offer any new member promotions have only played Yobit and FortuneJack dice and looking for something that rewards its customers more and has a better layout. Thanks.

I think the random Happy Hours nicely fill that role, everyone's faucet is boosted by the same amount regardless of their account age. However, they aren't really publicized as much as any of PD's formal promotions.

I have now mined a number of coins with Genesis Mining and they have ALL gone the same way - they start off ok and then little by little they reduce until there is hardly any daily payout.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I'm pretty sure this has happened to everyone else. =P Because difficulty trends upwards over time, your contracts will pay out less and less until they are finally cancelled due to the fees exceeding the payout.
It's always a good idea to evaluate whether you're likely to ROI before the contract is cancelled, prior to any (further) investment. (I was never any good at that so I gave up, haha.)

How can see information of bets? I couldn't find them in "my bets" page but I have their IDs.

If you have the relevant bet IDs, you can use the "/bet BetID" command in chat (no quotes).
Alternatively, you can go to https://pd3.co/ and enter your Bet ID there, which basically queries the API for you.

Another nice hit from hui, CONGRATS!!!

Nice one, hui! Must've been a little nerve-wracking, waiting so long for a win.
Now you've got another palindrome to submit to the PD contest, too. =D
