Asrock Challenger RX 5700 (Non-XT) - I got it 24/7 stable with the following settings in Phoenix mining ETH. I also share some tips for those like myself who experience AMD drivers crashing and resetting their clocks in Windows. Check it out below.

Config:   0.850 vcore | 1350 core | 1840 Mem | 56.97 Mhs | 118 watts

I can get to 58 Mhs + but it is not 24/7 stable with current drivers, I also modified my GPU in past content released on my channel.

I made a video regarding my experience and the performance I am seeing with the Beam Hash II Algo. The Hashrate and Profitability have improved quite a bit, so I wanted to share my results with the GPU's I have. If you have the same or different GPU's please feel free to post your performance results. I skipped the power draw because it is the exact same, at least for me.

First off I want to thank Andrucrypt for working so hard, on allowing the mining community to test and utilize these new AMD RX 5700 series GPUs. I know there are updates to come, but here is what I go so far, on the RX 5700 (Non-XT) model. Also, my post on Reddit will be updated, as new revisions come out in the future when I have time.

"SoftPowerPlayTables" Registry Mod, RX 5000 Series (Igor's Zipped Files)
by
SerpentXSF
on 21/07/2019, 22:26:46 UTC
So Igor's Lab had a really good Article out, and released "SoftPowerPlayTables" mod or registry hack that allowed users to unlock their AMD RX 5700 or RX 5700 XT. Bringing their performance close to their NVIDIA counterparts, the (Non XT variant) can beat the RTX 2070 (Older version) - RTX 2060 super by a good bit, and get close to the RTX 2070 Super. While the RX 5700 XT can equal or match the GTX 1080 Ti - RTX 2080, while both cards being around $400 or less. The Catch 22 is that the power draw goes through the roof, even my RX 5700 (Non XT) at one point hit 250 Watts in testing.... I believe SonOfATech said he saw 270 Watts on the XT variant. So for these competitively priced cards, to hit those levels of performance with a minor Soft Mod, it is impressive. I did make a video on the performance after applying the Soft Mod to the RX 5700 (Non XT) which is linked below.

What was really interesting was the Article on the "SoftPowerPlayTables" mod from Igor's Lab at Tom's Hardware (Germany), seems to have been taken down... so for those who are unable to download the zip files, you would be missing out. However, I found the files and created a PDF of Original Article, see below.

Quite a few videos have come out regarding the "SoftPowerPlayTables" since Igor, SonOfATech, and I released our own, but as more people and Tech reviewers put a spotlight on it, I wonder if Igor was asked to take down his Article and links to zipped files....

And Reddit or someone on Reddit has taken my post down twice, in the past hour, so posting here instead.

WARNING!! use these "SoftPowerPlayTables" Registry Mod, at your own risk! The Blower style coolers are already having a hard time keeping the temps under control, while maintaining a low decibel rating or sound level. You can set an aggressive fan curve, or set it at a static high speed to help, but with overclocking anything you can damage the device. As these Registry mods, increase voltage allowance, and with increased voltage, you can reduce the life span of your card. Sometimes just outright brick it, so be careful, please.

Here is a link to my testing of the RX 5700 (Non XT):

I am sure your working on it, but any updates for Kernels on the RX 5700 and 5700 XT? Fresh launch and new Arch, so can't be just a simple "insert code" here...
Good Luck and thank you,

There are two ways to remove the "Test Mode" text in the bottom right of your screen after adding - strap and -driver.

So if the question is, "How do I remove Test Mode message" you can also use the following command, run CMD as Admin.

"bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING off"

Then reboot your system, and your good. But you can also do what was instructed in the "Readme" File

Just wanted to share, if no one else mentioned it.

-Only for 1080 Ti Graphics Cards-

When enabling command "-strap 1" after correct setup and running as administrator. While using the ETH largement Pill, you will possibly get a crash or the following. However, this is to be expected as that is two programs attempting to modify memory timings.

Any updates coming soon for the new GTX 1660 Ti GPU, being able to mine using Gminer? I prefer it over Bminer, better hashrate at least that is what I see for my rigs.

Here is the Error, Gminer doesn't seem to detect the GPU or recognize it as a compatible device:

Power calculator:   on
Color output:       on
Watchdog:           on
API:                off
Log to file:        off
Selected devices:   GPU0
Temperature limits: 90C
------------------------------------------------------------------
22:20:03 Failed to initialize miner on GPU0: MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB:
22:20:03 No devices for mining

Any data I can send to community leaders to help, just let me know also if anyone is interested in the GTX 1660 Ti mining performance I posted my current data on Reddit, but still testing and being updated.

Here is some info I got, but still testing.... check out the Reddit post. Just sharing my info, I welcome insight, coaching and recommendations to get the best info for the community.

I done some more testing, per other miners request on specific algos, and below the link to reddit is today's testing.

Did anyone get their payments for mining HTH coin? It states I got paid this morning (July 22, 2018) around 8 am EST USA, but there is no TX number like other payouts. Also, my wallet is still empty 10 hours, later. Any ideas, am I missing something? How do I get in touch with Zergpool for help? HTH coin asked me to see if they updated the Pools wallet, as they just had a fork I believe around July 19th. How do I get my coins?

I just got a quick question, I was using Zergpool to mining HTH coin, and got paid out 2 hours ago at 7 am EST USA on 7/22/2018. However it is not showing up in the wallet, and it is the one from the Github (Full Node) but I notice there is a Windows Exe version. I didn't think it mattered, but my first question is, how long does it take to confirm transaction? 2nd because I mined it before July 19th, did I lose it? 3rd, should I use the EXE wallet instead of a Full node? I will try to contact Zergpool, but it shows paid, just can't check it in the Explorer. Where can I find it in explorer? I want to make sure it works before I continue to mine. So if anyone has some insight please let me know, I am excited to support the cause  Cheesy

They dropped the prices on the CLE-215 model, not the plus, after I already sent $299 worth of crypto..... don't spend the $30 all at one! lol well that sucks I should have waited a bit longer but wanted to get in the August batch. @GPUhoarder my order is not connected to my account, so I just not worry about it? I assume we will be notified when the August Batch is sent out?

Order # 227

You will find my information on the order, and my account match, just not connected.

Well, I took a leap of faith that (GPU Hoarder) and the SQRL Research team will come through.
I would buy a standalone FPGA but at $2000 +, I can't afford to right now. I noticed though on the SQRL Mineority site they do offer the Standalone FPGA for around $3000 when that wasn't there before. I believe that the technological growth due to Crypto mining, will open doors for more DEV's and engineers to bring more software and new hardware that can improve, not just mining, but many technology sectors. However, we will have to wait and see. I wonder if the SQRL miner software will come with each Acorn FPGA, or if we need to reconfigure them, what software to use? That I will have to learn, but in due time, I am interested in the overall idea and package so just going to roll the dice. It wasn't hard for me to check out, nor did it take long to get confirmations, but that may be because people before me had such a hard time, they might have worked out some of the kinks in the ordering process. That doesn't mean you won't experience any, but just know this is a risk you are taking. You just need to figure out if it is a risk you feel is worth taking or not. Good Luck
