I'm pretty sure it would be more efficient if you state your clear requirements rather than waiting proposals for a very ambiguous request.
Knowing your environment and budget would be a start, what are must have requirements, contract and support form.

Finally, since you're asking for a coding service, posting here might have been better: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0

Can you tell us why do you want to do that? You will just lose your BTC by making such transaction...

That's a false statement, if the transaction was never confirmed he can still reuse the inputs again in another transaction.
The only reason I can think of for such transaction is to scam people by showing them the transaction is pending confirmations while it has no chance of being confirmed.

What type of projects are the investors interested in? I have a project in mind but the target customers are governments or big companies that want to increase transparency in their election/voting systems in an anonymous way.

Is it possible to run LBC on an offline machine and update it manually every week for example?? I know there would be some useless work will be done due to other clients searching the same space before my offline machine does it.
If so, how would I do that??

the hourly isnt that good as the % that the projects will profit after the launch, its in my interest that all parties are happy and confident with the deal.
i also have a lot of work done myself and there are plenty of motivated ppl who would like to join a crypto-business.

I don't believe it's possible to determine if hourly rate is better than a % for any new project, specially when there's no trust.
Lets say that you make a deal for 50-50 split, and the project yields 2BTC profits, why would a developer trust you to hold 1BTC for him?? how would the developer trust you to report the exact profits at first place?? too many ways a % can go wrong when dealing online without legally binding contracts.

If you're willing to pay plain flat price shoot me a PM (on site, or email only, no IM apps) to discuss the deal.

Re: Protecting Gold with Blockchain?
by
Severos
on 27/04/2018, 05:36:00 UTC
The core idea is that every piece of gold would carry a digital signature, much like the certificate you get when buying gold.

Also, if your gold is stolen, they can't sell it since they don't have the crypto keys to transfer the owner of this item, with the help of government regulations it'll be much easier to find stolen gold.

What would create the signature in the gold?

Why couldn't I simply dissect or melt part of the gold to change the signature?

If you remove the gold signature then you've essential detached the piece of gold from blockchain, which means you won't be able to trade that gold any more (given that government enforces the blockchain).
If you're talking about changing the signature to match another existing signature so you can scam someone, it won't work, you certainly will show a signature that exists on blockchain and the buyer can validate it. However, when you try to sell it, you don't have the private key to transfer the ownership of this asset to another person.

How connect unmaterial digital signatures and material gold, I think that it is mistake that crypto can protect gold or diamonds. Just wait and we will see that this will create more fraud.

The gold asset (jewelry, bars, coins, etc.) would have a QR code (asset ID for example) on it containing its description, just as it carries the mark of manufacturer (in case of jewelry), you'd be able to track the history of this asset and verify its meta data and real owner.

Problem with this idea is,
 - It will open up a huge black market of gold dealers who'd just avoid the blokchain way.Such markets will buy/sell gold illegally and for a much higher price.
 - This may also impact the prices of gold as an asset.Imagine what if the huge chunk of gold is dealt with illegally.

Moreover certificates on the Gold are country wise unique aren't they ? On the blockchain, they all will follow the princile of distributed ledger ?

I don't see what exactly is stopping black market dealers right now??

As for the certificates, this project could be implemented both per country and internationally, since it's hard to make a global certificate across all country, each country can implement their own asset and either accept/deny other countries' assets, the process could require manual acceptance from an assigned employee.

Great idea! What can I say more 😃
I think it will be better to get help on writing introduction from someone who has more experience in academic writing.
I know BitFury is involved in blockchain technologies very much, they created great project in Georgia which contains registration of houses and etc in blockchain. I think your best bet is to colaborate with them.

What do you think I should include in the paper when contacting them? and would it be possible for me to make sure they won't discredit me?

The idea is great, but if we look deeper:

 - Gold has value other than value as an asset, so it is possible to dissolve gold and reuse in things such as women's accessories, industry, medical purposes or selling in the black market.
 - Gold is one of the secrets of countries, so the use of a technology based on transparency such as blockchain threatening to reveal those secrets.

In general, blockchain technology can play an effective role as a protection for such assets

For your first point, it's still useful to have it on blockchain, how? when you have gold asset (or any other precious metal), you can "destroy" it to create other asset(s) that have same total value (at max), so even when you're transforming accessories (melt a ring to make another) it's still recorded on the blockchain, as for other industrial and medical uses, they should be able to destroy the asset(s) without creating new assets, of course in the case of recycling facilities that extract gold from industry equipment, they would have to manually register the extracted gold as assets at a government office for example. Finally, for the black market, isn't the whole idea of this is to make gold moving transparent and prevent black market activity at first place? so if you try to sell some gold to black market without moving the asset on blockchain, government can catch corrupted employees/companies since if they do check up there will be missing gold that isn't reported.

For the second point, I'm not well informed in general stuff, but I guess in this specific application we don't need to register all the gold in the country reserve, only gold that goes into trading is required to be registered in order to track its movement.

Protecting Gold with Blockchain?
by
Severos
on 26/04/2018, 05:51:19 UTC
First, I'd like you guys to take a look at this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nrVlICgiYM

That project made me wonder, why not use the same concept to protect gold in its various forms (bars, jewelry, etc.), of course, this should be adopted by governments to succeed.

The core idea is that every piece of gold would carry a digital signature, much like the certificate you get when buying gold. Those signatures are tracked as crytpo assets on the blockchain along with other meta info that describe the item, so when you want to buy gold you know exactly what you're buying.
Also, if your gold is stolen, they can't sell it since they don't have the crypto keys to transfer the owner of this item, with the help of government regulations it'll be much easier to find stolen gold.

What do you guys think? other than that I'll need to write proper document explaining the idea along with steps of implementation and technical documents, how would I start with it?
I believe in the potential of this idea, it's just a problem of how to get it started, since it won't work unless governments support it :/

Re: [PSA] WARNING: HOW TO AVOID MASTERNODE SETUP SCAMS
by

Unsophisticated or unskilled people better not risk it with running full masternodes. It's a hassle of running and securing them and yet your coins are in constant risk. Think about shared/crowdfunded/managed masternodes if you don't have the skillset to admin your wallets.

Not true at all. There's nothing risky about it and setting it up is quite easy. What constant risk are you talking about?

Constant risk because your coins are on a server that's connected to the internet 24/7 with open port, there are cracker programs running all the time scanning for servers and trying to crack their login, not to mention 0-day attacks (altho less likely)

Re: Bitcoin Quest - a brain twister, by solving it you get bitcoins!

You think someone will do this? And what if change colors of the picture?

Why wouldn't someone do it? it takes literally 3 lines of code to get the difference image:
-read image1
-read image2
-result = (image1 - image2) > 20
this will result in a binary image (black/white) for all pixels that have difference higher than 20.

As for changing colors, it's a fine solution, if the color transformation is non-linear, otherwise it'll be possible to revert the image back easily.

If you're concerned with that delta image thing, then don't share the original image anymore and just give the image with seed words on the exact date of the quest. Since you're sharing the original image on the site which is supposedly for the 26th of April, you need to change it with a totally different image (with seeds already) on the 26th so you will not worry if someone prepared about that pixel change.

Exactly, the delta image is a valid attack this time only because he shared the original image.

Wow man,

Can you please specify this delta image thing? I really want to make everything as honest as possible. I can reward you with MFC currency if you have a wallet for this tip.

Assuming your 12 words in the picture are actually expressed in a way that resembles captchas, Severos concerns - while are plausible and valid - are not likely in this specific scenario so I wouldn't worry too much.  Software would be pretty useless because not only are captcha solvers way less than 100%, they are terrible at finding captcha riddles in the first place in non-discreet contexts.  And I doubt anyone would bring out the big-gun NSA image analyzers for 500$USD of bitcoin.   However, if your words are plain text  then yes - someone with software will be the winner and it will happen minutes after you open it.

The delta thing is simply the technique that would used to shorten any processing time you might try to introduce by changing the image at the last minute.

Hope this helps,

My original concern is about locating the location of characters, reading the characters is then a minor problem that doesn't have to be automated. Even if they're captcha style, once you know the location you can type them in manually.
Kindly see my previous post to see how someone with some simple code (available online) can do this.

Wow man,

Can you please specify this delta image thing? I really want to make everything as honest as possible. I can reward you with MFC currency if you have a wallet for this tip.

I'm not sure they call it delta image in literature, but here's a brief explanation of it:

An image is essentially an array of pixels, each pixel is a vector of numbers that represent the Red/Blue/Green (RBG) components (or any other representation format).
I have the current image that you uploaded without the characters, when you upload the new image, I'll download it and now I have 2 images, subtract the values in each pixel in image 1 from the values of the corresponding pixel in image 2, now you have an image (array of pixels) that contains the difference between the 2 images, so you can see exactly which pixels were modified.
Pixels with low modified values (that can't be distinguished by human eye) can be zeroed out to reduce the "noise" of the image, this results in an image with only pixels that have significant change between the 2 images, all that's needed is to run some algorithm to detect those small characters locations (group of neighbor pixels)
-Drop any group with small number of pixels (ex: drop all groups with less than 9 pixels since you can't possibly write a character with them), so far the user only knows the location of the characters and can inspect them visually to extract the seed. This process can also be automated by simply adding another component that takes those pixel groups and perform character recognition algorithm on it.

That is how I'd go around scripting this contest, but I'm just an amateur in this and have used the naive approach, pretty sure anyone with decent knowledge in image processing can do much better job and explain in better technical details on how this is carried.

However, it's not impossible to defend against those "attacks", I have couple ideas that I'll PM you about (so others won't be prepared for them), as I said I'm not a professional so it's given that my defenses are week and will only stall algorithms. Also, the resulting image will loos some quality (due to changed pixels).

I'm afraid it's the first time I've heard about MFC, I'll make sure to read about it.

I really don't think this is a fair competition to be honest, specially that you've announced it this early.
Why? because someone out there is writing AI code that does character recognition in images and will sweep the whole thing within couple minutes.
Even without it, since you've posted the image without the modifications, it's possible to create a delta-image (difference between 2 images) using the current image and the one after adding characters which will reduce the amount of lookup to do.

Don't get me wrong, the idea is awesome in theory, but in practice it's hard to implement in a fair way.

I don't think Hashflare is valid collateral as you can obtain it back, even if you don't there's the problem of withdrawal limit, I'm not updated on what's their minimum withdrawal limit, but I've seen many complain that they're rising it, so whoever ends up with the account could possibly make the money back but can't withdraw it, which renders it useless.
