Board Mining (Altcoins)
Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com

So, one has to keep track of bitcoin value at every instant pool finds a block?

and what of the fact that only the pool is doing the actual mining and everyone else is just effort towards that?

unless you are solo mining you are not uncovering bitcoins, the pool is and you are being paid... in a very elaborate fashion since shelved shares, et all is in the mix

Good point. Makes me feel easier. I'll let those pools worry about it.

I love the fact that you can fix the difficulty on this pool. When multipool.us adds vertcoin, please make it fixed diff also, as there a millions of pools with vardiff, and they all suck.

Can someone please tell me, if there are any fixed diff non-p2 pools? It's getting pretty annoying when pool keeps unintelligently raising my difficulty so I have zero shares across several blocks.

edit: well, I guess I'm gonna try the p2pool suggested by the previous poster. I was under impression that to join p2pool requires some crazy setup. Apparently not.

Sorry to admit, but as annoying as edgar was with his negativity, he turned out to be mostly right. People here are not who they pretend to be. Even though I was not a victim of a scam by anyone here, I am mostly mad at myself, as I formed a wrong picture in my mind about some of the characters here. I though of Phoenix being a man of his word, and he turned out not to be (probably forgivable, as he was not thinking straight when he promised 80% if he was indeed a victim here), and Searing being 'clueless' and now I think the person behind Searing is not 'clueless' at all. Well, one good thing came out of this. Now that I realize that I have to waste my time and energy trying to think who is behind the forum characters in addition to reading their posts, I don't feel like doing it and will spend less time here.

Yeah, I meant I would trust him not in the sense that I would follow his advice, but rather in the sense that he would not run away with my money.

he's not 'dumb' dumb, he does it on purpose!

like stirring up interest, or 'no publicity is bad publicity'...

ive told you guys about this dickhead, who repeatedly swears hes 'done' and yet NEVER is!

willfully ignorant, rude, obnoxious, feigned stupidity except when its genuine! (now comes with added 'mates')

do not trust!!

DO. NOT. TRUST!!
yeah, especially don't trust the links of proof I provided...   all lies
and I never said I was done with intel or 14 nm.... I said I wouldn't comment on company "X"
go back to eating your paint chips

Don't despair Mr. Phoneix, I would trust you before anyone else in this forum, you seem to be a good guy. Yes, a bit weird and annoying at times, but who wouldn't be after encountering UFO, right?

clearly indicative of a serious lack of intellectual capacity.

I suspect Mr. Inaba, unfortunately, has more money than most of us and just chuckles at such statements.

i dont care about inaba's existent or non-existent intellectual capacity, but one thing is for sure, you dont measure intellectual capacity per money earned. pretty obv imo.

All I am saying is words like that would not offend him one bit, on the contrary, it just entertains him I'm sure.

In order to introduce it into evidence in court, at lawyer would would need to actually get the poster to show up and take the stand, otherwise it would be inadmissible as hearsay.
Other than the fact that none of us is going in court, but rather in arbitration, what could you possibly prove? There is nothing in that post but an empty threat, and i can't underestimate him to the point were he really thinks i'm this stupid.

There are a lot of interesting things that could be said about the last 10 posts, but there is no reason to start a flame war by exposing them either. So i'm simply gonna keep reading both factions of this, the other one being the recent posts in the Cointerra thread. And yes, i suggest everyone interested to do the same.

It's not that he thinks you're stupid, it's that he's actually that stupid himself.  He probably does think you can just bring a ream of printed out internet comments from other people to court to prove that your customers are mean, or have different opinions, or whatever, and win a case that way.

Because clearly, he is actually a very stupid person.

For example:

You mean discounting the fact that Hashfast is less late than KnC is at the moment?  KnC promised summer delivery and didn't ship until the middle of October.

KnC: Summer ended Sept 21, delivered mid Oct. Lets say 3 weeks late.
HashFast: "Ships Oct 20-30", still hasn't delivered mid January. Lets say 3 months late and counting.

"Hashfast is less late than KnC is." Wow. No wonder BFL is always late. You don't understand the difference between days, weeks, and months!

KnC initially projected summer when they announced their plan. However, when they started taking orders they said they would deliver in September.  They actually got the first Jupiter booted and running on September 30th, and the first customers actually got their units delivered on October 4th. I had an October order and I got mine around the middle of October, so as far as I'm concerned I actually got my unit earlier then I had expected.

Josh calling Hashfast less late then KnC is totally insane, and clearly indicative of a serious lack of intellectual capacity.

even if you held them to the "summer" thing, they would only be 1 month and 4 days late, equivalent to Hashfast shipping December 4th. But obviously, there is a huge difference between when your initial estimate and what you estimate when you start taking orders.

I suspect Mr. Inaba, unfortunately, has more money than most of us and just chuckles at such statements.

so, 3-4 months for neptune?   Dont sweat it...give it to us straight!...   we appreciate all you do indeed bro

Do you really think that he, as an employee of KNC will tell you this so that people will quote him later if it takes longer than 3-4 months? As much as I like KNC that's one reason I decided not to go with Neptune (another reason is not having enough money). Don't want to go through stress of waiting like waiting for October unit. Nevertheless, needless to say, it was a great feeling once I received it, to just plug it in and it starting to hash.

My take.

All this speculation is deserved in another thread on that specific topic.

------

Zipiju and others have gracefully taken up the work BKKCoins left and that is what the topic should be about now.

Can we agree about that?

Having to catch up on this topic (as I didn't follow it from the beginning) yes, I wished it had only technical information (not crap about heatsink). Now that I am sort of following it, some drama details are always welcome  Grin.  And, who the hell would read that other thread?

Anyway, my point was that BKK made a good impression from the start. People who lost money should not just blame BKK, but also those scumbags who made posts like "can't wait to start selling these".

Here is my opinion for what it's worth. I think that accident didn't happen and he ran away with the money. However, I think he deserves that money  Grin (I didn't order anything from him by the way so it's easy for me to say). I am actually surprised he put so much work for so little amount of donations, and not sure why he didn't run away earlier seeing how some scum of the earth were openly planning to profiteer from his work. Although, majority of those who ordered from him were decent people in my opinion and I am sorry for their loss.
