Can I lose my coins by choosing wrong wallet?
by

Hi everyone, I found a service announcement of new wallet platform few days ago in our forum.
Their introduction and vision stated in the post seems to be great and it also attracts me a lot.
However, I still wonder whether I can trust that new wallet.
Can I lose my coins by choosing wrong wallet or they can never stole any coin because they just provide wallet service only?

Please help me if you have experience in this field. Thank you.
This is the link to the wallet that I mentioned: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4582763.msg41338130#msg41338130

It sounds great. However, my coins are not listed on your website. Do I need to wait until my coins have been updated or I can start to use my wallet now? Thank you

You can start your investment with small capital and get experiences. Nothing would be better than your real experience, this would be the best way to learn something.

To me, it would be better if you hold our current coin and buy some more if the market is in red. Then, we will keep it all and wait for the end of year.

To invest in real estate, you need a great deal amount of money. Besides, investing in stock would give you little profit. Thus, altcoin would be your choice if you want to start with a small amount and get a desirable earning.

I read it all. The next time you read, you can use "scan and skim" skill. This would help you to save time but still can get the important meaning.

My recommendation is, you should join cryptoworld and treat it as your part-time job instead of full-time. Investment in crypto sometimes come with risks so it would be better if you can have other source of income.

The purpose of bounty campaign is broadcasting the project and its coin, thus, they would try to catch as much as bounty participants they can to spread their information to the community. We should work harder or try to participant in translation campaign if we want to get great rewards.

Re: How we can stop scam ICOs lanching?

I think we should protect to issue scam ICOs in the crypto market. It creates misconception between new user and about market. What you think?

Crypto is an open world so we cannot prohibit any person or organization to join. However, we can try to recognize scam ICO and let others know about it by posting in group or forum. This would reduce the victims of being scammed.

For altcoin investment, I experienced that we should invest in short-term and should not espect high return from this invesment. This would be a safer investment if we use this strategy.

I recommend that you should diversify your investment into several coins instead of only BTC or ETH or just one or two Alt coins. This would reduce your risk. The market has changed everyday so no one can be sure about the value of coins in future.

Re: Is bounty hunters one of the cause of price dip of ICO?

Bounty reward might be one of the reasons for the decreasing of coin price (many people get it after joining bounty campaign and they sell it for money or other coins -> supply increase while demand still remain the same-> price falling). However, some projects did not pay bounty campaign for weeks but their coin still decrease the its price. So I think it has the other reasons also.

Re: Crypto market getting many new people. Is it good or bad for us?
by
Shaminyue
on 05/06/2018, 20:06:54 UTC
I think it will have both side, good and bad. The good thing is that crypto market has had more and more transactions everyday and both demand and supply side are increased in amount. The bad thing is that, newbie would be easily affected by the news and rumor. Thus, sometime they heard some bad news and try to sell the coins. This would result in the decreasing of coins' value.

Re: How to protect your wallet from hackers
by

This is for those who use wallets with cheap transaction fee, such as ethereum based wallets.
There are some who cannot yet afford to purchase a hardware wallet. On that note, i have a suggestion on how your wallet can be safe from hackers. I have always noticed wallets that get easily hacked are those that are subject to public view.
Try as much as possible to have a separate cold wallet address that you do not copy and paste the private key, and neither do you share the address with anyone. You can use it to store most of your valuable coins.
Even if you want to transfer any coin or token to an address belonging to another person, first transfer it to your public wallet before sending it out.

Thanks for those advices. I also experienced that we should not copy and paste the private key and use our private key to login the website. Some hackers can stole our private key by somehow.

Long-term investment would give you the biggest profit however it also comes with the highest risk. You need to be a very patient person with this investment as you shouldn't sell your coin though the market is up and down everyday and no one can be sure that your coin will be dissapeared one day or not.

What about bounty program when the end we must KYC and we send many eth to get paid from bounty program..i look BETEX..for get token bounty program we must kyc and send eth to developer..how about it

This is the first time I heard that we need to send ETH to a project to get paid from bounty campaign. This makes me feel that the project want to get money from you only. Their are many bounty campaigns out there that do not require you to pay ETH. You can choose one of them Cheesy

Re: Do you join ICOs that requires KYC?
by

Some of my coins said that they need KYC to determine their investors to avoid the risk of selling coins to people in some restricted countries (countries that do not allow new ICO to sell the coins without registration with the government). Thus, I think it would be a nice project because they want to protect their investors and their coins.

Re: Is it normal to wait for 6 months for a bounty reward?
by
Shaminyue
on 29/05/2018, 19:12:55 UTC
I got my rewards from 1-2 months only. Sometimes the project leaders made it a litle bit longer because they focus on launching and broadcasting their coin. However, they haven't experienced that rewards was kept until 6 months.
