Aren't you sick of him and others bleating on about 'ZOMG I have made a subjective personal decision not to buy AM hardware; therefore it is overpriced in some kind of absolute, objective way and all who disagree are throwing wasted money at Friedcat?'

I am sick of the crap that is now filling up this thread, including this post right now. I do understand the replies that need to be made though, to push back the onslaught of ignorance and misinformed posts/FUD. Kudos to the guys trying to keep this thread "pure". Do as other people have done, and create alternate threads about matters not directly associated to ASICminer or discussed by friedcat in this thread. My somewhat worthless 2 shatoshi's.

Take your arguments elsewhere and just edit your posts to allow users to be redirected there to watch everyone measure they're Epeen. Don't clog this thread with unnecessary posts please.

Would publishing AMC's bitcoin address add transparency since we can see proof of purchase of Avalon chips, etc.

Just to clarify,

Quote
Should it be determined that
it is not feasible to develop an ASIC chip, then the remaining funds in the research and development/purchase
fund will be added the growth and expansion fund.

The development/purchase fund is the remaining 60 Million shares?

Is this decision taking place after the current feasibility tests have been completed?

If the feasibility tests fail when will these shares be "active"? If so they have a large impact the time scale of recouping the IPO cost per share if the feasibility tests fail.

Thanks for your time,
Shas

You may want to change this portion of text...

Sorry if this has already been covered.

It just seems highly optimistic to produce a 45nm die chips by the end of this month. I have no expertise in this area i am just reflecting on the difficulties that BFL had when trying to produce the 68nm die chips. Would be grateful if someone with more technical knowledge could discuss this.

Also a few other points that i would like to ask:

1, Has there been confirmation for all of the Avalon Batch 2 machines? Has there been any news of them shipping this specific order (I know they're ramping up their production line when they receive the hardware to do so). Once these machines arrive where will they be situated, what physical considerations in terms of security have been considered? Where will the rest of AMC's machines be situated?

2, Has design of the 45nm die chips already started or does its start depend on the IPO being a success?

3, What happens if the IPO is not completely fulfilled?

I appreciate the time taken in replying,
Shas

Yes

What do you expect the difficulty to be in August?  (w/ asicminer, avalon, and bfl in the mix?)

Its stated earlier in the document that a difficulty of ~360 million is predicted but it is unclear if this is what AMC predicts for August when it starts receiving its first prototypes or When it has all of its promised mining hardware.

Re: Litecoin, the Silver to BitCoin Gold?

The only reason I would invest in LTC is in a pump and dump scheme. The only reason the price has risen thus far (AFAIK) is the speculation that when LTC hits MTGOX its value will skyrocket similar to the BTC bubble last month. The question arises that a rise in value either requires later investors with their speculation driving the price up or that there is a use for LTC for which BTC cannot accomplish (AFAIK LTC only offers fast transaction confirmation). Without a facilitating something that BTC cannot, i don't think there's anything that ensures the growth of value for LTC, other then greater speculation by later investors.
