WOOF COIN
Since the beginning of the pandemic, pet surrendering rates have increased dramatically around the world. Waitlists for surrendering household pets have increased to a remarkable eight months as animal shelters and welfare organisations have seen an increase of 34% for animals needing help.
Typically, animal shelters are under resourced and under financed; relying heavily on donations and the volunteer efforts to assist animals.
This is where Woof Coin steps in. As avid lovers of dogs, we wanted to make a difference. Using the power of Proof of Work mining, weâve created a coin where miners are contributing to the donation of money to animal welfare shelters. These shelters initially include the ASPCA who already have a cryptocurrency donation mechanism but with intention to expand to the RSPCA and other organizations suggested by the community.
Our aim is to put animals first and we intend on developing ongoing relationships with pet shelters to help adoption.

The LW-WMA (Linearly Weighted, Weighted Harmonic Mean) theorical
algorithm by Zawy is implemented and ready.

Why this algorithm :
- No delay of reaction.
- It is weighted by the latests found blocks in decending order (most recent weight more than the previous, etc...)
- I choose a window size of 60 blocs, so this algorithm has to take care that a bloc is found every 175 seconds (this is the iridium specification) on a moving window of 60 blocks.
Briefly, if an attack occurs, the difficulty will go up just after the found bloc aiming always this 175s target. After this, the difficulty will go down at the same speeding the same goal.
Tests are done and are very promising.
So what now ? During this week-end, I will schedule the Hard-Fork and release the new wallet and core versions ready for it.
This mean, for users a new wallet to download and for pools and nodes owners, a new core daemon to install.
I'm aiming the next Friday for this hard fork so it leave 5/6 days for others to do tests. Pool owners, be aware. I recommend you to testnet the hard fork to see if the new blocks template and protocol is ok with your pool version. I will leave the testnet settings tuned to the new block version, so you will just have to launch the core in testnet mode, fire a testnet wallet and setup a test pool. If you don't test it, maybe your pool will crash at the HF point. (that's what happen last time but luckily, this force me to implement this new one also - Thank to manona to show me the way
)And what next ? focusing going on exchange : I think this implementation is a huge card to play... What ? exchange ? No ? Yes ? Now ? Later ? Lol.
One last thing : this hard fork will also allow larger transactions and should free theses stucked in mempool since months...

Why not create a new Flurbo with different Algo such as cryptonote or similar?
Do a premine for the total amount of current coins in circulation and then let users swap those old buggy coins for the new ones, exchange will need new integration but that´s not difficult.

It seems perhaps the BSOD pool is on the wrong chain? Can somebody please check.
Seems some pools are perhaps still on the wrong chain after all these hours. BSOD is on the RIGHT chain...coins in wallet from late yesterday and today.
I had some issues with not receiving my mined coins with BSOD. I contacted them trough discord and they helped me recover my lost HOLD. Great service!

Yeah, but hopes that one hour after Ann i would stiller get some with cpu. Never tried cpu mining scrypt before for that obvious reason :p buy there are many on the lookout for New coins and i guess even just one asic would make my cpu pretty useless :p

10%premine, 2.3million, I cannot say dev is greedy, but with 2% POS return, I think its no value for miner or investors.

This is such a crucial point I want to re-emphasize it:
The pre-mine is 2.3 MILLION coins.
The total PoW supply is 625 THOUSAND coins.
There is no point mining a coin where you can only mine such a miniscule fraction of the supply.
Also, note that the ANN claims "10% Premine for Bounties and Airdrops" in large text but buries this little gem in the text:

I have no issues you not liking the coin or the idea or whatsoever but now you saying i am hiding things from the public is wrong the 2.5% for the devs is very well displayed among the text, at least its stated there, its not like i am hiding it, this look more like personal attack on this project than anything else. You know what, you're right. I apologize if I made it sound like you were hiding it. I have edited out the part that makes it sound like I am accusing you of hiding something. I am not accusing dev of scamming or hiding info.
My point isn't that you are hiding or misleading. My point is the economics of this coin are just silly. You personally get 575,000 coins and the entire PoW supply for everyone else is 625,000 coins. Please let miners know why this is a good idea.
This isn't a personal attack. But if people invest in coins like this, then get burned later because it had poor economics, the cycle will keep repeating itself. I'm trying to promote a healthier ecosystem by encouraging people to only invest time/money/hash in promising projects, with good fundamentals. That will encourage devs to launch coins with good fundamentals. Otherwise devs will keep pushing the envelope with bad pre-mine and insta-mine arrangements.

A coin is only as strong as the community wants it to be!! If you decide to mine the coin and keep it long term and start to make profit because you actually own it makes a lot of a difference. I saw coins on yobbit.net with amazing ANN everybody was invited to mine with 20% premine and i dont know what more, after 24 hours in the exchange it was worth nothing anyone was selling it for nothing practically.
In regards to the early unfair mining that has been made we the KNOX coin Dev decided that once we reach the last block of PoW the 125K coins that have been mined without our knowledge by unknown users will be re distributed among all coin holder.

About the staking. it is 2%. so let's say you have 100.000 KNX then you get 2.000 KNX a year is about 5,5 KNX a day. You should be getting multiple incoming PoS transactions each day.

Thanks for clarifying. I don't the dev is dumping the coin but someone who has at least 200K coins. But I still think the coin need a lot of campaigning on twitter or airdrops to make people buy more.
