Can someone from CryptoBridge confirm or deny if this thread about MadCoin MDC is real or a scam:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3156614.0

As far as I know, MDC is a stable coin with a real developer, who is still planning to actively develop and promote the coin. Original MDC thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2605658.480

The new thread claims that CryptoBridge is complicit in a takeover, with all deposits after block 120,000 being rejected and only the "new" version of MDC will be allowed. But this version looks shady, controlled by a few people from a private chat channel. As far as I know, the original developer is against the takeover, and I see nothing on the CryptoBridge website that supports the idea of a takeover or swap.

Please let me know what is the truth.

CryptoBridge have been trying to contact the Madcoin developer for clarification on this situation. It appears he/she has not been active since 13th March and the general community is supportive of this move, hence we are considering supporting the new chain. Madcoin dev can stop this at any point by relplying to our attempts at contact before block 120k. We will disable deposits and withdrawals until a decision is made

Thank you for your reply. For the record, I am against coin swaps of any kind, because they completely destroy the concept of decentralization for cryptocurrencies.

Instead of having a trustless, semi-anonymous ecosystem of decentralized coins, coin swaps force you to trust one developer with your (and everyone's) coins. Not only are you forced to trust this one entity, who you have never met before, but now they know who you are and have your information.

This particular swap is especially fishy, because it is not even the people who created the coin who are running it. Can anyone just take over anyone else's coin?

I ask this: If you  have a better idea for a coin, why wouldn't you just start your own coin? Why take over someone else's coin who didn't even give you their consent? If you lack the skill or imagination to create your own coin, then at the very least just create a fork of the original coin, like Bitcoin Cash. That way the original coin holders can still use their coins and don't have to sit in a Discord or Telegram chat room all day to figure out how to swap their coins.

I think it is a mistake for CryptoBridge to take part in this swap. The original MDC coin works fine. The blockchain is running without problems, and Masternodes and Staking wallets are operating perfectly. Many, many people who are busy with jobs and families won't see these obscure threads claiming to take over MDC, and will miss out on this shady swap.

The original developer has posted in the original BTC talk thread - first page - that the swap is not sanctioned and is a scam. You have to dig deep into an offshoot thread to figure out that a swap is happening, and even then, it is easy to be skeptical of the people making these claims. Many innocent people will lose money through no fault of their own.

Thank you for this reply, you make some valid points that will be taken into consideration. Generally community takeovers are supported if a developer goes completely absent for an extended period of time and there is unanimous agreement that it will benefit the long term prospects of the project. I concede this one is neither unanimous nor is it clear the developer has actually abandoned the project. It would be helpful if the developer that first requested listing would make contact with us to clarify.

We do not want to be the mediator in such situations and, in the spirit of a dex, would like to stay as neutral as possible. We will make a decision on our stance today and circulate to avoid confusion and undue delay.

CryptoBridge will not be supporting the fork of Madcoin (MDC). The market will stay on the original chain until the developer who paid for the listing comes forward with a request to do otherwise. MDC market is now re-enabled.

Alright guys, some of you may of heard that we have announcement planned for today, as you are busy reading this, you can see that's true. So, let's get down to the nitty gritty.

Alpha Release 0.1

What does this mean?

All contributors and community fund members are immediately confirmed to be Alpha testers, 13/30. If you are not a Contributor or Community Fund holder, please reply that you’d like to be a tester (first come, first serve).

If you are a contributor or community fund member and you are NOT able to participate in the Alpha 0.1 Release, please do mention it so we can share your slot with somebody else whom may be interested in testing.

We will run this post for 5 days (9th March 2018) and acceptance of testers will be closed, once done, we will notify those testers on the day to please join our Discord so we can communicate the necessary.

How will this testing take place?

We’re using Swagger API Explorer (CLICK ME) for our “GUI” that’s important because you’ll need some experience in REST APIs (its simple, POST, PUT & GET calls), however, we’ll be creating a user manual on our WIKI so you can see the commands in order to play with your wallets (transactions etc…)

Further details on how you will share your wallet address amongst the testers will be made clear closer to the time.

Specifics of the release:

Only 1 node will be running, this because we are starting to benchmark the bare minimum speed of the transactions with everything stripped down to test one the use cases of Sneak (value transfer).

What’s important to note?
In order to clearly define expectations we’re outlining what you will be able to do and what you won't be able to do. Here are the details:

What does this include?

Create Wallet
Create addresses, each wallet can have multiple addresses
Create tokens
Send transactions
Receive transactions
Retrieve blocks

What this release does not include:

GUI
Encryption
Privacy
Zero-knowledge Proof of Work
Security

When will testing begin?

Fri (09 March) / Sat (10 March)
Will run indefinitely

Once you've replied within this thread, please join our || Discord!!

Interested in testing Alpha release, PM'd and joined discord

TANGRUM

A Next-Generation Decentralized Computation Platform

Building a Brave New World

Tangrum is a new Blockchain platform designed from the ground up entirely. It brings the flexibility, scalability, and accessibility to develop the decentralized applications. Our goal is to build a decentralized digital society.

a decentralized computation platform

iChing PoS

We are developing a totally new PoS system named iChing: a scalable Proof-of-Stake Blockchain, the most advanced mathematical proved PoS consensus algorithm so far.

Gastromancy Protocol

Gastromancy Protocol, a secure Multi-Party Computation (MPC) cryptography protocol, uses to develop Tangrum’s on-chain governance voting system and privacy-preserving data mining system for future enterprise applications, offering a high performance of security and privacy.

Tangram Language

Tangram is a general multi-paradigm Knowledge-Based programming language for writing smart contracts. It’s a symbolic discourse language that you can use it to create the most powerful and safety smart contracts.

Blockchain of Things

Build a new autonomous machine economy mechanism to make Internet of Things(IoT) to be a truly useful things network, unlocking the potential of IoT which is now facing a poor interoperability and the high costs problem.

Universal File System

A file storage system named Universal File System(UFS) will be built into the Tangrum’s full-node client in order to incentivize the users of Tangrum. This system will shape a new economy model to the Blockchain system even the whole internet.

AI-on-Chain

Tangrum will be revolutionized into a decentralized intelligence platform combining the Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain technology. This will bring a new world to humanity!

a project initiated by a decentralized community

Supervised by Tangrum Foundation, an entity registered in Singapore.

Developed by Gödel Labs,a Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Research and Development lab.

Contact US: info@tangrum.org

This seems like a pre-ann. Any testnet available yet?

Is there a reason why it re-syncs from the first block every time I reopen the kotod.exe?

Also is does everyone else's wallet use alot of CPU? I read that Zcash used to have this problem too.

I have gen=0 in .conf so not mining

Anyone elses wallet taking a large amount of CPU? I have an i7 and its at 20%. Its like I'm mining or something but generate is false

Look at the hashrate. You will mining the floor of a penny. 816.5 GH/s and this is for 2 hours.

Thanks for the reply, but that's not what I'm asking. Is your wallet taking alot of CPU to run? is the question.

FYI I find coins that have alot of hashrate a good thing.
