Hi everyone,
We know youve been craving updates from us in a more structured fashion, and we are approaching a point where we have more room to deliver you just that. Today we are going to deliver a taste of that promise, with a small update.
First and foremost,
we would like to introduce a seasoned developer, who will be helping our development team.
Craig has formerly worked for big tech companies like Vimeo, and came to Shift because of his interest in decentralization. He has, within a short timeframe, already gotten familiar with blockchains and crypto, and will, without a doubt, strengthen the development team at Shift. You will already be able to see the fruits of his labour, as his first project is ready to release.
Our
second announcement is the release of Shift Nano, the standalone client wallet. Available for Mac, Windows and Linux. We have chosen to port this wallet from Lisk, because it is a prime example of what a dapp should be like. Craig did a great job on this, and we suggest you give him some support by voting for his delegate node.
https://github.com/ShiftNrg/shift-nano/releases/tag/v1.1.0For those of you, who are wondering what the development team is doing right now,
we're still very busy working on our brand new website. It will be fast and light,
hosted on IPFS by Phantom. It will contain a lot of information about the Shift project, and we cant wait to show it to you guys.
The last thing we would like to talk about right now, is that
we are working on bringing an unique new consensus principle to our voting system. This system will try to influence the dominance of the biggest holders, and therefore slightly raise the chances that newcomers can join the forging. We are currently testing how this mechanism would impact the system, if it were to be implemented now, and we will be back to you with more information soon.
