If someone publicly posted a death threat here, report it. That's not allowed.

Removing personal information is a pointless reduction in freedom. If someone found your personal information to post it, then anyone can find it (probably very easily).

You should report the threat to police. They won't do anything about it, but the record of the threat will be helpful in court in case someone does attack you and either you or attacker gets injured.

Thanks for replying theymos. Here is the quote of the post :

This user is trying to frame me as the developer of an alt-coin called SilkCoin and is spreading my personal info everywhere and organizing people to put a death bounty on me.

How to contact Administrators?
by

Hello all

I've just been made aware that a user here on Bitcointalk is trying to frame me and has made death threats against me. Somehow this user has found out all my personal details and is posting it everywhere on the BitcoinTalk forums. This has put my life in danger, who do I contact about this? The administrators (is there an e-mail or something), moderators, authorities? I need this to be addressed urgently as this is my life that is being threatened.

Any help is appreciated.

Regards,
ShimalH

Now's the best time to get into BlackCoin. The price bottomed out at 27K Satoshis, now sitting at 33K Satoshis.

EDIT : Jumped up to 35K Satoshis now

Your asking me for my name and other info for like 10 BTC.  So you just contradicted yourself.  It is your choice but you won't be getting any business out of me.  Idk how anyone agrees to these terms as the underlying fundamentals of bitcoin were to remain anonymous.

People like this are killing bitcoin.  I will make it my job to not recommend anyone to your services sir.
AML is the reason but since we're not dealing it's not significant to discuss it any further!
I have sent you a PM, but have received no reply yet?

I'm looking to buy BTC with $370 from PayPal. Is it possible to use escrow?
Paypal is very tricky not to mention you'd like to use an escrow!
I thought escrow would make it safer for both of us? If you'd like my verification PM me and I can show you.

You can always send the statements of the last 6 months! And you think I will destroy my reputation with your $370 from Paypal?
Are you asking for my statements from the last 6 months? I'm not sure if you thought I was attacking you, I wasn't. I saw you accept PayPal when selling BTC that's why I posted. I'm not sure why you don't want to accept escrow as that should make it safer for both of us. If you want verification of my account I can show you my statements from the last 6 months.
For Paypal the risk is all on the Seller not Buyer!
So in that case are you saying you don't do PayPal trades?

Obviously you can see I am new around here. I have heard about Dogecoin on CNN, Bitcoin is always in the news. What about all the other coins? I am sure all the coins want the general public to learn about them. Can anyone tell me a coin that is marketing itself to the general public in any meaningful way? One that has a real plan? I am really surprised I am asking this question!!! Shocked
The only coin that I know of marketing itself to the general public is Numus : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=543503.0

Their intro video seems to be aimed at people new to cryptos : https://vimeo.com/89947268

Would be better to buy NEM than NUMUS when I'm looking in the Discussion Thread of NEM. So many posts with ideas, updates etc.
Things there going well.
In all fairness NEM was announced a while ago, around 4 months if I'm not mistaken and it's community is much larger than Numus', but Numus was only announced a week ago. If I had to pick two of the most promising alt-coins for 2014 though these would be my 2 picks.

IPO is still on the table?

Yep it's still on, Numus stated earlier that it ends on April 20th I think.

The IPO makes no sense, you will only get a tiny fraction of coins even if you invest a ton of Bitcoin. And its just a fork of Peercoin. Talk about style over substance...

The miners will rape this coin.
How about actually reading the OP before making comments. Numus is based on Peercoin source code, but brings about new features such as the cloud storage system. Read the whitepaper first : http://numus.org/whitepaper.pdf then come back and say its just a fork of Peercoin.

Sorry I meant clone not fork...

From the Whitepaper:   "Numus is a new cryptocurrency based on Peercoin source code."
Yes because Peercoin has a lotto system, cloud storage system and decentralized exchange  Roll Eyes

Interesting article on the various algos just came out:

http://www.cryptoarticles.com/crypto-news/2014/4/3/what-will-be-the-next-hot-mining-algorithm-for-gpus

They don't see Scrypt-Jane as a long term contender though because of the decreasing profitability.
The article is very uninformative, doesn't explain in any depth why his views are they way the are. Good looking website though.
