Si può fare. Al momento ho molti progetti in corso e non sono disponibile, ma in futuro se c'è disponibilità di fondi posso gestire la parte di programmazione.

Getting 500GB storage should set you for a while. It grows but not as fast as you think it does, and i dont expect for it to get up to 500GB that fast, however once it reaches, say 300GB, you probably want to upgrade storage to 1TB to be safe, but again i dont expect for the blockchain to become that big in a short amount of time. Electrum is a good option too, and you should look into it.

Probably, but I just don't want to be stuck in the future on a difficult enviroment because of an unhappy choice at the start.
I'm making some research. Thank you all.

If other have some advice I'll be listening and when my research will be complete I'll write my solution here Smiley

Check out Electrum. It should be able to do everything that you want.

Thanks I'll check! Smiley

If you're going to be your own bitcoin "bank", you would want to have the blockchain downloaded, along with bitcoind possibly with your own code for wallet management, talking to bitcoind, etc.
Here is a couple of links that may be of some assistance:

There may be third party services and applications you could use with SPV or connecting to another node, but I would probably suggest having the blockchain downloaded instead.

IMHO - If you can't run bitcoin-core and keep a complete copy of the blockchain then you have no business running such an operation.

I don't understand. If I need the whole blockchain online avaible, what kind of server I need to buy? It weight so much and in grows so fast!

hardware capacity will increase ok, but what if people need to put the full node online 24h\24h because they have web services and things like this?
It would be impossible!
I want to open a full node now (not for mining but for developing) and I can't because it's too big!

HELP. Lite node that can write new addresses, make payments and such via command

I want to be my bank and do simple operations via command line.
Creating addresses, making payments, checking balances, etc. Everything via command line, with an interface on a website, but without installing ALL the blockchain that's too big and I don't want to mine.

Is there a way? Someone can help me thorugh this?

I'm a webdeveloper and I want to integrate blockchain's solutions on the web, but I really don't like using other service's APIs. Thanks in advance.

I understand the differencies from various wallets. I need a different but related info:

If I want to develop on bitcoin and, primarily, create wallets, send bitcoin and check payments (basic CRUD actions), what's the best way?
Can I do all of this WITHOUT opening a full node?

I try to ask there before opening a new thread.

I don't think that the QC mining will increase the difficulty and let the blocks stay the same size. Because QC for now are reaaaaaaally rare and that's means that only few can afford to use them and few + bitcoin node are already a problem, so I don't think it will be accepted the worsening of the situation.

Tecnically you can't refund cyber goods or services on paypal, but I don't want to risk.

Fiat are, in various ways, the center of our nation's power.
Losing control on something for them is really bad because it lowers their power. Figures THIS kind of power.

And honestly, I don't even know if the future will be "bitcoin" or another cryptocurrency. I don't have any idea how it will be possible to solve the problem of the centralization and complexity of the blockchains...

A nice guide to help people to open fullnodes.
A nice sensibilization campaign to make people love fullnodes.
A nice way to make fullnodes cheaper.
And in the dark (?), open them!

I thought it was funny put like that but yeah, I'm serious. I would like to open my fullnode to learn more and maybe create a business with it (i'm a programmer).

Hi, I saw this article but found nothing with the search. It's fake or should we worry?

I'm lucky because I wasn't here on 2015, but I think I should say something at least, just to be sure.

Re: Why would customers use Bitcoins?
by
Shinseiten
on 26/08/2016, 13:23:45 UTC
Actually bitcoins are much worse than fiat. As long as they are so unstable it will be problematic to use them normally.

I got completely ignored so I try to quote myself:

Maybe this question has already been answered but I can't find it (and honestly I find hard even to follow my own questions).

If I have an ecommerce of computers and I sell "X" at 1000$ everything is fine.
But if I decide that you can buy it with bitcoins, 1.71 bitcoin (todays 1000$), how can I adapt this price to TODAY bitcoin value? Maybe tomorrow it would cost 1.80 and, a week 2.5 bitcoins and months after 0.5 bitcoins.
I would go mad!

If I block the bitcoin alternative if the price goes crazy, wouldn't my business make angry customers?

i see two ways.
1. you could write the price in $ and add "or bitcoin equivalent". then at the check out you show the customer both prices and they can decide.
2. you could use a program that checks the bitcoin price every 5 min and adopts the price then.

I was thinking that too. Using mainly fiat and btc as a substitute.

If one buy a computer at 1000$ and choose to pay with 1.71 btc it's fine. if after 1 week he want his money back because BTC increased his value and, lets say, 1 BTC is 1000$, his refund will be 1 BTC and not 1.71.
If 1000$ is worth 2 BTC, he will have 2 btc instead of 1.71... not good, but I guess this is as far as we can go with this unstability.
Maybe I should convert BTC in fiat daily using some service... need to make some tests.
