7800 is the series. What's the actual model? 7850?
Either way the 7800 should perform better. Many cards require a lot of tweaking to get them to run at their best. What are your CGMiner settings? Are you even using CGMiner?
Yes I am, had 300khash and 150khash with the cards, but on the pool site it shows something different
Check to see if you're getting hardware errors. They're labeled as HW: in CGMiner. Are you getting a good number of accepted shares?
Also, how long have you been mining for? That number is sometimes an average over an amount of time like 24 hours.

no don't, other has more doge appeal. more meme, more recognize, need meme for association
I actually agree. The Meme is what got this coin rolling. /g/ exploded with threads about Dogecoin. Most of the people on those threads had never mined any cryptocurrency before. Making it after a Meme was actually extremely beneficial.

I think it will depend on how the masses adopt both bitcoin and litecoin. Today it seems that the people of the internet are going bananas over dogecoin. So I really don't know what will happen in the future
Exactly what you said. It doesn't really matter what bitcoin hits. It matters which is more adopted. If everyone starts accepting litecoin, it could be worth more that bitcoin even though there are more of them.

Have you considered Altcoin mining? If you have a decent AMD graphics card, a profit switching pool like Middlecoin, Multipool, or Hashcows can make you a pretty good amount of BTC. They mine Altcoins and then auto trade them to Bitcoins.
Why not invest $500 in Bitcoins and the remaining 500 in litecoins. While Bitcoin is worth more, you would be able to get more litecoins for the dollar value. Perhaps lLitecoin will skyrocket as Bitcoin did and you might find yourself better off !
One of my many regrets is not holding onto my litecoins when I purchased a wad of them in early 2012 when the price was next to nothing.
P
I think this is the best advice. But, it appears that we are in a bubble right now. You should wait for prices to drop before investing.
sorry, i am trying to mine bitcoin in a pool i am also on my laptop. maybe its not efficient enough??
You won't be able to mine Bitcoin on a laptop. I can guarantee you're spending more on electricity than you're making back in Bitcoin. Mining on a laptop usually isn't worth it at all, but if you really want to try, I would recommend mining a coin that can only be mined on CPU such as Primecoin.
I propose a NEW wallet. That holds every currency imaginable. That way we just need 1 address on our sig! Who's with me!
Cryptsy can hold many altcoins, I use Cryptsy as a wallet
Isn't it a little scary to hold anymore that a few altcoins on cryptsy? I'd be afraid to hold more than $100 worth of coins on someone elses server.

Do you see any unconfirmed coins yet? Or is it still just 0?
Sometimes a block can take an unusually long time to do. You can check your estimated earnings. If that's 0 then something could be wrong.

What are you having trouble with? Are you mining bitcoin or altcoins? CPU or GPU mining?

Definitely not. At 500kh/s you can only mine 0.1326 Devcoins a day. Each Devcoin is only worth 0.00000185 BTC. It's literally the least profitable coin you can mine right now.
