Re: Best cryptocurrency investment for year ahed

I'm keeping an eye with this new one that has just been launched, Virie. I see a lot of articles and posts about it lately and based from what I've read so far, it looks promising because apparently, it does not require a third party broker because it's not a payment system with a market but it's a market in itself with a very user friendly payment system. If you want to know where I have been reading about it, it's here: https://www.annerainwater.net/

Re: Virie-the cryptocurrency of the future?

I came across this website called Virternity https://virternity.com/virternity which is apparently a project meant to create a virtual world in the future. Read their roadmap and #5 caught my attention. They are now introducing their cryptocurrency called Virie. A quote said "This currency will have real, inherent value (ie,easily exchanged for goods and services). More importantly, it will enable the seamless unification of the material and virtual worlds.
Is this the cryptocurrency of the future? What do you think?
I'm also interested with this Virie most especially that it's new. I have missed a lot of opportunities in the past when I ignored new coins that came out including Bitcoin. I don't want to miss it again this time and based from what I read so far, it's the first of its kind being not an ordinary payment system that has a market but it's a market in itself which for me is pretty interesting. https://www.annerainwater.net/blog/the-virie-market-part-1
Yes me too. I am keeping a close eye to this Virie now and I also follow that blogger now too has she seems to be getting pretty good information about it in her blogs. Virie Market eliminating the need for a 3rd party brokerage is one feature that I like the most about it. Makes it faster and cost effective.

one more thread that discusses about virie, this is indeed a very innovative project and may be a future project that is more flexible than others, but I am not sure with the progress
Yes, I myself also noticed that there are already different platforms that are talking about Virie. It seems that it has already caught a number of attention and in my opinion, the best feature of it is that it's not just another payment system with a market, it is a market itself and the first of its kind apparently. I've read it here if you're interested. https://www.annerainwater.net/blog/the-virie-market-part-1

Connecting cryptocurrencies and virtual worlds is an excellent idea. I think that it will be very successful. People could like it because it gives them more power.
Yes actually and they seem to be pretty sure about this project with Virie being the proof. I have been doing quite a lot of research about it since I first posted about it here and found a blog site that seems to be focusing on it lately. I found the blogs easy to understand because it uses layman's terms. The blogger has quite a good amount of information on Virie and Virternity on her blogs. Re: Crypto currency is your future?

For now, cryptocurrency plays just a small portion of my life. While I do invest on it, I do not really rely on it as my main source because I knew from the beginning that it's not stable so I still live my life as normal. I have a lot of obligations in life and therefore I'm keeping my stable job and cryptocurrency is a kind of time deposit for me which I expect to grow in the future.

Yes we have to believe that cryptocurrency will bring back life to those who invest on it. We need to put our trust that its just on a lie low stage right now and will rise from the dead very soon. If we don't believe it's going to happen that way, who else will? There's a very small population on cryptos. If that is not maintained, that's when crypto market will die.

Yes I do. We all know that cryptocurrencies are highly volatile so it would definitely rise and fall. Two things I see happening in the future. The current cryptos that we have in the market will strike back or there will be new ones that will be created which may create the hype just like it did with Bitcoin when it was still new.

Yes I believe that cryptocurrencies will lead the way to the digitization of all transactions in the future. Once the processing power and network bandwidth that can accommodate all the energies required to create a blockchain that will run all transactions, cryptos will play a major role.  I see it happening in another decade or two.

Hmm I'm a bit skeptical about this whole KYC thing. Only banks do that and it's because they are regulated. They do that before starting a banking relationship with the client and before pushing through with any transactions. Doing it with crypto makes it sound regulated which in essence loses the sense of freedom and democracy that's supposed to come along with crptocurrency systems.

I think you are a year advanced because bitcoin was only created in 2009 but yes, it is nearing it's 10th year so it's safe to say at this point that it has proven its strong staying power already. Amidst all the chaos since it was created and introduced, it still stays. Unfortunately, it will still take a while for mass adoption of bitcoin to happen and hopefully, it still stays until it's fully adopted globally.

Re: Best Social Media Outlets for Crypto

There's a lot of good social media platforms out there for cryptos. For creating awareness, I think FaceBook will top it because everyone seems to have FB accounts. For influence, I think LinkedIn and Redddit are pretty good. Twitter would not be left behind too. Oh Quora also is a good platform for intellectual discussions about cryptos and other topics too.

That looks pretty promising for a cryptocurrency platform. How does your process go? What is your conversion amount? Is this accepted worldwide? What security measures do you have in place? So sorry for the questions. Just want to understand it better. Thanks!

Re: When will PayPal start accepting bitcoin?

The good news is that Paypal already allows their merchant since the beginning of this year, 2018. “A merchant can typically open a standard PayPal account and begin accepting payments through PayPal within a few minutes. Most online or mobile merchants can onboard quickly and are not required to invest in new or specialized hardware. Our Payments Platform supports growth with a variety of value-added services designed to help businesses of all sizes manage their cash flow, invoice clients, pay bills, and reduce the need for merchants to receive and store sensitive customer financial information. For our standard service, we do not charge merchants setup or recurring fees. A merchant can also integrate with Braintree to begin accepting payments with credit or debit cards, PayPal, Venmo, digital currencies such as Bitcoin, or other payment solutions with a single integration.”

Re: If the banksters and governments held 90% of the Bitcoin supply, what now?
by

on 06/11/2018, 08:24:07 UTC
There will definitely be pros and cons if that happens. The biggest con being is that it will obviously already become regulated which therefore means losing control and democracy over the actions of banks and governments on our bitcoins. On the other hand, if there will that much holdings by the banks and the governments, then there is support for bitcoin being widely accepted.

Re: The most frustrating thing about crypto
by

on 02/11/2018, 11:09:20 UTC
No not yet. Cryptocurrencies still have a lot of flaws that need to be develop. I think partly is because they are still missing the necessary amount of processing power and network bandwidth for a blockchain to ensure transactions are processed in just a few seconds. Give it another decade or two for that to happen.

Re: Is the crypto market really for anyone?

It really depends on what you mean "anyone". If it's for the availability and affordability of cryptos, of course anyone can invest on it because there is no minimum limit on how much you can put on albeit if it means, the knowledge about it and how to manage it is concerned, that is not something for just anyone.

Although I do invest a little in cryptocurrency, I don't really see myself leaving my job for it. It's not a stable investment in my opinion because its market is highly volatile. However, in the future, I'm seeing cryptos to be more than just investments but rather something that will be part of our daily lives like cash is now.

Re: How do you see the future of cryptocurrency?

Of course, we need the  blockchain to keep the cryptocurrency technology running and within a decade or two, there will be a blockchain that can process every single thing in the world including cryptocurrencies. We need cryptocurrencies because that brings us the democracy, freedom and control over the actions of banks and governments.

Yes, this I believe is true. The processing power and network bandwidth that can accommodate a blockchain that can process every single transaction on earth in just a few seconds are already being developed. Expert says that it's only a matter of 15 to 25 years before it's achieved. If that happens, cash may become obsolete.

Re: Can blockchain replace bank?
by
ShowOffoN
on 02/11/2018, 10:27:21 UTC
With adequate processing power and network bandwidth, I think that it's possible for blockhain to someday replace banking. In fact, I even think that someday, cash will be completely obsolete leaving only digital currencies to remain. Blockchain makes lives easier a hundred folds and humans always go for the easier route. However, it may probably take another decade or so for that to happen.
