India, one of the largest countries in the world with a population of 1.3 billion potential future users of cryptocurrencies, remains in a legal limbo as cryptocurrency exchanges await more clarity from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the country’s supreme court. Currently a legal tussle is going on in between RBI and crypto exchanges. Soon decision will be out in Court.

Re: Citibank is offering crypto custody.
by

According to Business Insider’s Frank Chaparro, sources close to Citibank revealed that the $175 billion New York-based bank will offer crypto custody solutions to institutional investors. Through the launch of a product called Digital Asset Receipt (DAR), Citigroup will enable institutional investors to invest in cryptocurrencies in a fully insured and regulated manner. By owning DARs issued by Citibank, investors in the US essentially possess instruments that represent the value of the stocks or assets that are owned by Citibank on behalf of its consumers.

Re: what is the main reason for india to ban cryptocurrency
by
Shubhamgill33
on 12/09/2018, 12:36:55 UTC
First of all, cryptocurrency is not banned in India. Its just that Reserve bank of India has stopped banks from dealing with crypto exchanges in the country. They made this decision, till the time they can study how crypto can affect monetary system in the system. They cannot allow anything to run in country without knowing its legal/illegal aspects. Supreme court is hearing the arguments between RBI and crypto exchanges and all are hoping that Court will allow Banks to support crypto exchanges.

Re: Where to invest long term aside from Bitcoin?
by
Shubhamgill33
on 12/09/2018, 12:32:48 UTC
A lot of coins are already trading near their lows and others also down 80-90% from their all time highs that were formed during the last bull run. Even bitcoin has lost around 705 of its value since then. Many alts inlcluding the ones in top 10 are worth investing. Ethereum, cardano, Bitcoin cash, Ripple, etc are such alts. Even many small cap alts are good to invest. You need to make your own choice and be picky while investing.

Re: The Future Of Crypto Market Without Bitcoin?
by
Shubhamgill33
on 12/09/2018, 12:28:38 UTC
One cannot imagine crypto market future without bitcoin which has been the most traded and successful cryptocurrency in the world. It is currently having a market share of  more than 50% and to replace or remove it will be a daunting task and will take many years. In my opinion it is close to impossible to imagine a crypto market without bitcoin. Investors confidence will be pretty down if there is not bitcoin.

Re: What will happen if Bitcoin gets official permission from the government...???
by

on 12/09/2018, 12:26:07 UTC
Yes Bitcoin is an independent crypto currency that has got mass attention from investors worldwide and has been really successful. Whether or not Governments allow Bitcoin to operate, it will be interesting to see they regulate bitcoin or not. Governments will try to regulate bitcoin since it can be used for both legal as well as illegal payments.

Re: Invest in altcoins today or maybe later?
by

on 11/09/2018, 14:02:02 UTC
Due to the recent down fall of crypto market, the worst hit are the altcoins. Most of them have lost over 80% of their value when compared with their values at the start of the year. So yes the time looks right to invest in altcoins. But one needs to be picky in investing right now. only alts which have some potential will rise and not all alts. So just check from your end before investing.

Re: Should buy and hold NEO?
by

on 10/09/2018, 20:43:57 UTC
NEO seems a nice project to invest in. NEO has attracted trader interest because it seeks to improve on the foundations created by Ethereum. This is a Chinese developed project and is designed to create more effective smart contracts and is well place to dominate the Asian market. At end of year 2017, NEO climbed its way into the Top 20 coins achieving a $5 billion market capitalization. However since then it has lost a lot of value.

Re: Is there hope? Can we still make a bigger profit from altcoins this year?
by
Shubhamgill33
on 10/09/2018, 20:33:12 UTC
This market just looks bearish and bearish again and again. No signs of recovery can be seen even in long term. So just have some patience and hold on to your investment. Altcoins will surely rise but it will take more time and it looks like year 2018 will remain a bad one for altcoins. The next bull run will help only those coins which have some potential and those coins will be dead which have no usage.

Re: Bounty Hunters Dump Always?
by

I agree with you totally on this. I have also seen the same thing. All it matters is that the project has potential for a growth. If it solves any problem or if it has real use cases then more likely even the bounty hunters will hold on to their coins. All are here to make money. Most of the ICOs when launched on exchanges gets dumped as they do not have any use in real world.

Re: Bitcoin down Altcoin down
by

Altcoin prices are tightly linked to bitcoin prices. one can easily say that whenever bitcoin goes down altcoins also go down but same cannot be said for the reverse. We have seen that btc recovery is faster than alts. Since more than half of the current market money is invested in bitcoin only so due to its stake in market it brings down the whole market alongwith it.

Re: Cardano will replace ETH!
by

Ethereum and cardano both are good potential coins. Both have strong network but ethereum one is more widely used. Ethereum has been in market for long and has established its own space. However with the advent of new and new coins like cardano Ethereum's position is in danger and recent slump in its prices have sparked fear among investors.

Re: Bitcoin and altcoin: Who will take control of the market?
by
Shubhamgill33
on 10/09/2018, 20:12:26 UTC
Looks like it is bitcoin who is in control of the market and that too very firmly. Day by day bitcoin dominance is on a rise. recently it crossed more than 50% and now it looks like it is going to increase only. on the other hand alts have suffered badly due to this. They have lost a lot of market share and seems their recovery will now take more time. Bitcoin it seems will go for a bull run anytime.

I do not think so that altcoins going to be dead and that too so soon. There are so many alts which will be adopted in real world and these will be used in many ways. Some of these that I personally hold are ripple, bitcoin cash, litecoin, ethereum, ziliqa, ontology. The list is long and we will see many new added to it.

Re: ETF's might not be good for Bitcoin
by

Does not think that it will cause bitcoin prices to rise too much. The current ETF proposal supported by CBOE will not change much as it has a trading size which a small investor cannot afford. It is only for those who can invest thousands of dollars. Only if Bitcoin etf becomes easily accessible to common masses, we will see a significant price rise in bitcoin.

Re: Will every crypto coin survive?
by
Shubhamgill33
on 05/09/2018, 17:32:13 UTC
Very few coins will be able to survive in the crypto world in the coming years. In the previous bull run, every other coin rose in value multiple times and people just invested in them irrespective of them being usable or not. But in the next bull run only coins which have real world use cases will get new investors and only potentially strong coins will survive.

Re: Should I buy BItcoin or Litecoin
by
Shubhamgill33
on 04/09/2018, 20:48:22 UTC
Definitely bitcoin. bitcoin is the most invested coin as is evident from its market dominance that is still above 50%. Also Litecoin has no clear roadmap and no news coming ahead which could pull the prices up. Investors confidence in litecoin is on shaky grounds after charlie lee dumped it. On the other side the market confidence is hugely attached to bitcoin prices.

Re: Will other coins beat bitcoin in the future?
by
Shubhamgill33
on 04/09/2018, 20:45:30 UTC
Yes the crypto market is uncertain and one doe not know if any other coin comes up and beat bitcoin. But that's a far possibility and one must not forget that now instead of focusing on its usage and features, investors are buying it and considering it as bitcoin gold. With such increasing popularity and huge market dominance it will be close to impossible to takeover bitcoin.

Re: Do you trust ICO Rating sites?
by
Shubhamgill33
on 04/09/2018, 20:42:52 UTC
Telling from my personal experience that ICO rating sites are biased. They do get paid out for posting such reviews. There have been few scams too from ICOs that was heavily rated by ICO rating sites. Still there are few free ICO review sites which do not take any payments for the reviews they do and one can check ICO listed by them. But before buying all must do their own research and due diligence.
