Re: Invest in Crypto or Na?
by
SibiHH
on 17/08/2018, 05:50:08 UTC
Investing in cryptocurrency is a really great decision. It has helped many people make a good amount of bucks. And this is even one of the best times to buy. Simply because the prices have fallen relatively low. But you must get to know what you're getting into. Calculate the risk and decide for yourself if it's worth it. Don't base your choices off non-substantial variables. Don't invest because it is the thing in vogue now. You might end up losing a lot of money. Get proper information, watch videos, read books and articles before you put in your money. It's valuable afterall.

True some people made good amount of bucks but some people lost it all. That's why in every bear market there is a suicide help forum on reddit popping up  Shocked
If a time is good to buy you always only know for sure afterwards. Falling prices are no guarantee that the will rise again soon.

Crypto is based on a amazing technology and there is a good chance that it has a bright future. Nontheless it's probably the highest risk class for investments you can find (except for cfds maybe). So if you're not a professional investor then only put that money in that you are ok to loose completely.

People who bought now and holding it for the long-term will always get more benefits by making a good amount of money when the price starts increasing again. So it is always good to buy when the prices are very low in the market.

Only that it's very hard to know if theses prices are low or if they will drop even further. In retrospective it's easy to spot the lows but not so for today.
Long-term everyone is still positive, but ofcourse everyone is, otherwise they wouldn't be here Wink

Re: What will you do with the current market?

Depends how you approach the market. With free money to invest it might be a good time to buy just little positions every time crypto drops further. But there is abviously never the guarantee that it found it's bottom.
With lot of money in crypto you should have sold months ago Grin To limit risk it's never too late to get money out, especially if you're still in positiv.
For everyone else it's just hoping. Better not to look at the charts for a longer period. That's what I#m currently focussing on.

Re: Will You Advice someone who has Access to FREE Electricity - almost 60% elect.

Definitely NO! Not until you did the math!
Everyone is just screaming yes, do it, but if you still need to pay for 30% of the electricity, you should for sure first do some calculations. And think about the hardware invest as well.
Check out whattomine.com and put in all the details, like which ascii miner or gpu you are planning to use. Calculate the power usage (for your complete setup) and put in what you pay for a kWh. This will give you the profil per day.
Now calculate how long it will take until you earned the money you initially needed to invest for the hardware.
Does it take several month or even years to reach break even? Might be too risky as the hardware could fail, the difficulty could rise or the price for your mined crypto drop.
Is it paying off after a few weeks or some month and/or do you expect crypto to rise soon? Then it looks a lot more promising.
Good luck with your decision.

Re: Which one do you prefer?Increase your Bitcoin or ِDollar?

This is more a rhetorical question. We all want to get rich I guess. Well quite a few might see the idealistic value of bitcoin but in the end it's the profit that drives everyone.
I would love to have enough bitcoins to be able to constantly get dollars - or for me euros - out of it as long as bitcoin is no real currency to pay for pizza and beer. While the rest of the bitcoins are increasing in value or I get more bitcoins by trading altcoins.

Most versatile coin to LEARN would be Ethereum IMHO. Browse for a recommended wallet on your phone (like imToken or Trust) and get some Ethereum on it. Coinbase or Bitpanda is a place to buy ethereum for „normal“ currency. From there just get to know all about crypto, wallets, transfers, signing, smart contracts, coins vs. tokens, keys, collectibles...
For me that would be the better INVESTMENT. Especially if your budget is low.

And one more thing. Be prepared that you will loose it all. Either because you gave away your secret key or you transferred all your ethereum to a shitty ICO or...
Good luck!

Bitcoins did gain quite a bit from its lows this year but what strikes me is that other major coins like Ethereum, Xrp, BitcoinCash didn’t. They are all around their lowest price from this year.
I think this is a clear sign that the substantial trust in crypto is still lost. Bitcoin might just be a bit more pumped by big investors while the rest of the crypto world is still waiting in doubt.
I hope though you guys are right that we see a big surge in bitcoin towards the end of the year as this would surely pull the other coins up as well.

Is should look more into stable coins. So far was just too lazy so thanks for the list.
It's good to have a few coins that at actually not linked to bitcoins. Currently if bitcoins go down the whole market goes down and vice versa, sometimes just with a short delay. I hope for the time that altcoins evolve independently from the bitcoin charts, then stable coins are obsolete.

There are enough alternatives to using your secret key on MEW. At least use Trust browser or MetaMask with Chrome. And when you’re serious about crypto and have more than a thousand €/$ in it definitely go for an Ledger Nano S or similar.
Oh and never klick on any MEW links in E-Mails, they are always fake. Period.
Set the correct link as a bookmark in your browser and keep an eye out for tweets from MEW.

Short term no one knows what NEO will do. Long term I’d definitely say NEO is one of the High Potentials for sustainable long term growth.
But Ethereum as it’s main competition is quite a bit ahead and could even be called mainstream already.

Re: Should i invest in altcoin now ?
by

It’s always a good time to invest in altcoins. It only depends in which altcoin. And this is so hard to decide nowadays as there are thousands of them.
I would like others already stated invest in the Top10. You might be able to make higher profit with less know alt coins but the chance is more likely that you will loose it all.

Hi, is it official? Is BitPaction a scam? Did they scam money investors too, or only bounty investors?

Like with most scams all of the sudden it’s over and nobody known nothing  Cheesy
Guess there is not official statement to be found somewhere but that the website is offline for days now speaks for itself. Luckily I haven’t invested and very sad for those who did.

Did rules change or still it was? I mean i participated in AD6, so i don't need to proove my address, but still need to make posts and retweet?

It doesn’t say so in rules but you still need to retweet and make posts here.
An update of the rules is underway I’ve been told by the mods to make them a bit less fractal, no new rules are being introduced as far as I’m aware though.

I wouldn’t mind to see an altcoin bull run first. That’s a big issue that all cryptos are so closely connected, that makes it close to impossible to level out the drops.
I see my bitcoins as a long term invest and hope for some altcoins to be the shooting stars.

Re: Why ICOs will fail in 2018
by
SibiHH
on 17/07/2018, 06:15:07 UTC
Interestingly enough most ico are said to be successful when they collect the full hard cap - which less and less ICOs do nowadays. I as an investor would say it’s successful when the price goes up afterwards and stays positive. But most of the time after an initial peak the price drops significantly until - if at all - the project makes some major steps forward.
So I personally like the fact that the hype around ICOs is a bit low right now which might produce more realistic pricing of new projects.

...
All the innovations that came up with Bitcoin Cash and other hardforks, Bitcore came up much earlier than them. All these innovations and optimizations have been long working in Bitcore.

Yes we all know that, but many others don't Wink

Is that good or bad. Good if you still wanna  fill your bags, bad if you wait for the price to move up. Guess it’s all about marketing, especially with these rather young coins. I’ll go and check my wallet, haven’t look at it for quite a while...

Re: BIG HOPE FOR BITCOIN

Bitcoin paved the way for all these hundreds and thousands of coins and tokens out there. This gives Bitcoin an extremely high reputation. And while a lot of poeple are saying that there are better coins that are more "usefull" I still wouldn't underestimate "the network". It's the people that are keeping bitcoin running and as long as people believe in Bitcoin it will keep it's value or eventually rise to new heights.

DAV token - Decentralized Autonomus Vehicles
They are in their ICO phase right now but definitely aim for the long run when cars drive autonomously. They focus not only on people mobility but on autonomous delivery as well.
