We have seen a lot of negativity, and pain since February, but I still could not imagine, crypto to be over now. People who are patient will get their reward, hope they will, they deserved.
That is right. I did not sell any bitcoin from 2013 to 2016 and are rewarded nicely after that.
Miners buy a lot of cards, but we also push our cards 24/7. Meaning any weak cards in our Rigs typically die within a few months. Where if they were just used for gaming. Some gamer who plays maybe 20 hours a week, will never push the cards to that level, and when they finally die, they will be past their warranty. I seriously see them dropping the Warranty to 1 year. IF I remember correctly, their dedicated Mining Cards only have a 3 month warranty.
I run the cards at 50% of the TDP, they are working well after 5 years.
11xx series will mostly be disabled for mining at the driver/bios level. Like you cant SLI more than 2 cards in 10xx series, similarly the cards in 11xx wont work for compute loads if more than 2 are installed in the system.
Thats the best solution NVidia will have to isolate itself from last times crypto disaster.
Why would NVIDIA limit GPUs from mining/compute loads when they made a big profit of miners just recently? A potential move from them would be to cater to both gamers and miners by having seperate GPUs for graphics and for compute loads.
Banning a certain type of consumer makes no sense. Given that while miners RMA more, i'm pretty sure they also buy more GPUs which balance everything out.
I think the nVidia will make mining specific GPU like it did before.
Normal people try to earn some quick money from novice buyers on eBay. Happens with a lot off things - they snipe some product(s) that get sold out really quick and later resell those items for a premium.
If you buy from Ebay, you do not need to worry about custom and duty.

Re: [13-06-2018] China Controls Over 50% Of Bitcoin Claims Garlinghouse Ripple CEO
Chinese mining does indeed rule all however the users and developers are overwhelmingly not Chinese and I'm pretty sure they're absolutely aching for a reason to dispose of China. The Chinese know this and as every attempt to rock the boat so far has failed hopefully they've learnt their lesson.
If they haven't then everyone else will be delighted to teach them one. He's probably right about banking not being usurped. He still lords over a pile of worthless penis though.
I think the Chinese sold most of the coins because of the policy set by the Chinese government on 4 September last year.
this resets when you close de miner. Start the miner and see the hash... inject the "pill"and watch the groth...
I was under the impression that this was not in itself a miner but rather to be used in conjunction with your favorite miner software like Claymore or Phoenix.
Can someone more clearly explain this NOT in memespeak?
That is the same as my understanding.

I have a few RX 580 rigs, some times they give me trouble, but they are usually alright.
Basically, you need to use 14.4 driver, nothing else works with Stak, and then there are some extra sweet spot intensity settings you can find if you read through what was posted Result is getting 400 h/s per core of HD 6990 on xmr stak, that is about 800 h/s + per one HD 6990, guaranteed to work with V7 monero algo.
Well, the thing is Claymore v9.7 works fine with 15.7.1 (it actually asks for 15.x Catalyst for maximum performance/compatibility)... it would be nice if the latest Claymore added TeraScale support again.
Right, I see that, but you're missing my point. The drivers you use don't matter if it's a dedicated mining rig, and with 14.4 drivers, if you compile XMR stak from source, you can remove the dev fee, and you literally get the fastest miner for free. With those drivers and correct intensity/worksize, XMR stak outperforms claymore on terascale by 20%, plus you pay no fee.
Do you mean XMR stak is 20% faster than Claymore?

Re: [2018-03-02] South African Authorities Investigating Massive Bitcoin Scam
So, this is 1080ti Zotac mini without display ports? If that is the case, this card will run hot like hell and give about 580 h/s in equihash out of the box...
My 1080Ti is not so hot if I run them at 70% power limit. So that should not be so hot if you run lower power.
In my opinion it is not logical. I believe that the political situation in Zimbabwe may have an impact on the price of bitcoin in the country but that there was such a difference in price I don't believe. With such a difference in price traders already would have pulled out of Zimbabwe dollars. For those who do not know say that the currency Zimbabwe uses US dollars. So I don't think what they are experiencing large financial problems even during the coup.
It is quite logical as the ministers want to exploit you by inflating your money away.
