You are nearly the only one to post in this thread, but keep going, your posts are read and appreciated.

Second that. One of the most valuable threads in Speculation... I don't follow all the advice but it gives are very good a logical perspective on the price movements.

Thank you again Chessnut.

Below 400 on stamp.  Speculation FAIL!   ;-)

Someone owes me $12,000.

I'm not sure whether I find the FUD spreaders or the Permabulls more annoying...

Base your decisions on solid research and analysis, there are plenty of experts on the forum who have graciously shared their work.

so whoever gains access to your twitter gains access to your bank account

Exactly. Imagine  integrating bitcoin wallets into peer to peer communications though...

I'm sure there are some pitfalls but if thought through correctly, one can only imagine the possibilities!

You can now tweet money to friends, if you live in France

http://www.engadget.com/2014/10/13/twitter-money-transfers-france/

Starting tomorrow, any French resident with a bank account and Twitter handle will be able to transfer money simply by tweeting it. The new service, dubbed S-money, was launched last month by French mega-bank BPCE and Twitter. It differs from Twitter's Buy Now, which lets users to pay for goods at companies like Home Depot and Burberry using an embedded "Pay" button. Instead, S-money is aimed at person-to-person transactions, letting you send money to friends without needing their banking details. Details are scarce on exactly how it works, but a BPCE spokesman said it's "perfectly adapted to the Twitter experience." By the way, my own Twitter handle is @stevetdent. #kerching

interesing..
maybe next month bitcoin will like last year

False.   There is no Markus & Willy bot this year.   Last year never would have happened.

We would've seen a boring, gradual increase from $100 to $400 over the last 12 months.  That's all.

-B-

That's correct... If mt.gox didn't make all those fake accounts that bought over $2.5m each time & time again we would have never been anywhere near $1,200

DO NOT WORRY THOUGH! There are plenty more bots who will drive down this market when the Chinese wake back up & take profits... Back to 300 tomorrow, remember I called it.

Nice call on moving back to 300... Quoted and saved for posterity (of your ignorance).

I don't have sex very often.

Girls make me nervous.

Instead of working on my social phobia, I get on forums and try to bully those that would laugh if they saw me in real life.

Fixed that, for you.

This and your other post to this gentleman asking him to find a girlfriend... you seem to judge your self worth by engagement with womens? It's so random.

But to be honest, i'm a 22 year old virgin who lives with my parents and I still wet my bed every night. It doesn't help that i'm also wet behind the ears so i'm actually a walking puddle of failure that gets a rise out of posting false information on forums.

Fixed this one for you too.

Fools and hopers are buying in decline. Not like you weren't told to short instead.

Just wait for a bit for tears to start rolling on foolish advise for not listening to professionals  Cry

Given the amount of time you spend trolling this forum, I highly doubt that you are anything but a professional b*tch.

Just to dampen your mood a little:

1, I just picked up another large batch of cheap coins

2, I'm hodling indefinitely so that desperate hyenas (very much like yourself) who place a short position on the technological and innovative progress don't ever get a chance to make a quick buck

3, I'm catching the falling knife because I'm about to pad my mitts with all the money that you're about to lose from failing to close your position early enough... enjoy bankruptcy and I hope you kept enough to feed the wife and kids

Back on the ban a$$ wipe.

Does anyone have analysis on the level of trolling during this bear market/downturn compared to other years?

They seem more numerous and aggressive lately.

A small minority with short positions trying to create as much FUD as possible.

Keep your eye on the big picture.

Re: Bitcointalk blocked by the Great Firewall of China!
by
SilentJohn
on 26/09/2014, 15:11:49 UTC
I don't understand this continuous hostility from China, they could easily own the mining market and thus a great percentage of the network, effectively having influence on Bitcoin itself.

You dont buy much mining equipment do you, they already own the mining market, their miners are cheap fast and easy to use. the parts inside are also cheap crap and easy to break, But if you know what you are doing you can get a nice cheap minner and have it running forever. the Manufactures keep 12% of what they make, then "Rigorously Test" the other machines for as long as it takes to sell them. They already do almost have 50% of the hashrate right up there with Craphash.io (ghash.io) very quickly.

This (I THINK) came at a time that was drastic for china. With Alibaba POI coming out they wanted to Guarantee thier investors were investing in CHINA. remember China did not found  or create Bitcoin and its named after a Japanese person. CHINA HATES JAPAN, they hate everything about japan. I would easily say it is not bitcoin but how bitcoin was founded that is pushing this hostility towards bitcoin. If it were founded by Wu Kang Chung they may be more Apt to accept and embrace it.

no matter what the case they are successfully crashing the price so their plan is working perfectly as planned. The chinese invester who did not get out are clearly getting out now with a value close to 385 now. we are all loosing because of china. I hope they stay out this time, and go mess with the rich wallstreet boys and leave us alone. They can have their gold, and slaves, they can have their copper and electric, they can have their Great Firewall and bullshit, just leave the Bitcoin Community out of it.

The comment on Japan is probably the most stereotyped assumption that I have heard in a while.

By the way, what is a POI?

Re: Without huge buy on 9.23.2014 where would the price be today?
by
SilentJohn
on 26/09/2014, 14:43:50 UTC
We hovered around 400 for a few days then shot up to 450 on 9.23.2014 and now we are back to 400 within a couple days.  If that big injection had not happened on 9.23 would we be around 350 or even lower?

I know this is impossible to say for sure but I want perspective from those who try to quantify/model supply and demands affect on price.

Somewhere between 392 and 400... exactly where we are right now.

My sentiments precisely. There is a lot of money sitting on the sidelines waiting to pounce.. It may pounce in a minute or may pounce in a month..All i am going on is the recent influx of funds into the exchange i use.

By the way, it may drift down to 350 320 but when they pounce it will go nucluar north of 500 fast. (my opinion only)

I'm still buying and hodling cheap coins at 390 and below if it drifts any further.

Don't think that it will fall any further unless we see bad news that results in mass dumping... the support levels are relatively resilient.

Once again, as Franky1 has stated in other threads, this is "satoshi dust" and it's not a true market valuation.. just a good opportunity to line the pockets before the prices realize true value.

Re: My mother's a psychic, here's what she says about BTC
by
SilentJohn
on 26/09/2014, 11:07:54 UTC
The concept will stay but BTC specifically will be replaced "by better stuff", I should sell before new year because the price will keep declining and there won't be any more bubbles. She has no idea there are other coins or better coins.

I have this information since spring this year, don't ask me for proof as I won't give any. Don't ask why she didn't tell me to buy it in 2010 either - she never did, I got involved myself and asked her what she thinks. I doubted but certain other things in my life followed the prediction to the letter and based on that I turned extremely bearish.

We can revisit this after new year, I'm serious and not trolling.

Yawn.. guys, just go take a read through his previous posts (via his profile) and his agenda will be clear as day.

Don't feed the trolls.

If his mother was psychic, he wouldn't need to be this vested.

Re: A perma-bull's take on this situation
by
SilentJohn
on 25/09/2014, 14:13:56 UTC
I am and forever will be long term bullish on Bitcoin.

However, I think it is pretty clear right now that there is ZERO confidence in the markets.

It is pathetic that we cannot even stabilize above $430 after what happened the other day.

Many weak hands are scared and leaving the market.

Scared money doesn't make money, so please let me have more of your cheap coins Smiley

I think we will see $375 and stay around 4xx for a long time though before anything jumps off again.

I think that it's reasonable given the scope of integration... if we were looking at announcements for bitcoin wallets and full integration into Ebay, that would have been a much different situation.

Netagio anyone?
by

Just read the article on Netagio from Coindesk:

http://www.coindesk.com/netagio-becomes-first-uk-bitcoin-company-meet-auditing-standard/

Has anyone used their services? Was looking to move some coin out of China to a more "friendly" environment.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

Re: Where are we?
by

we are definetly in the innovator | early adopter line. as more bitcoin infrastructure is being built. even the bitcoin protocol is still at 0.9 meaning its not even version 1 yet.

bitcoin is not the dying breed, cyberpinoy is the dying breed. he thinks demand is dying. the actual reality is that bitcoin is not dying, just the PHP exchanges are dying.

i personally trade away from exchanges and the demand is HUGE. the simple fact is that whales wont touch PHP exchanges due to lack of trust of third parties, and AMLKYC regulations limiting FIAT movements.

so these PHP based exchanges are no longer playing around with 50k coins a day, but rather 12k a day. whilst private trading has increased immensely.

i truly laugh at cyberpinoy because he is watching the outdated and dying exchanges that play 99% with satoshi dust amounts per trade, while the smart ones are seeing large volumes and better prices of $500, simply because people can get bitcoin from fiat alot easier privately instead of through the red tape of exchanges.

a prime example of what everyone should be doing is what happened in February 2014. once people realized they could not get FIAT out of MTGOX. yea it took them from December 2013 - February 2014 to realize it, but once they did the smart ones ignored mtgox's price and started to value bitcoins from other sources. even when mtgox sank to $100, no one gave a crap, as the other exchanges remained at 4x that value.

i cannot wait for the basement dweller coded exchanges to die off and the people to start to value bitcoin based on private trading rather then trying to peg the value of 13million+ coins based on movements of just a few thousand coins on an PHP exchange.

Franky, quick (and might be stupid) question but how are bitcoins being valued outside of the PHP exchanges?
