Re: What is a safe wallet for BCC?

Why do I need to transfer my BTC before loading my private key to my BCC wallet? Im quite sure loading the private keys will not affect my BTC.
It's to protect your BTC in case the BCH wallet you choose is "bad"™

For instance, you just import your current private keys from BTC to BCH wallet... BCH wallet is bad and sends your keys to BadGuy... BadGuy can now steal both your BCH AND your BTC...

If you send BTC to a new wallet... and import your OldKeys to BCH wallet and BCH is bad... BadGuy can only steal your BCH.

hi HCP

when i was claiming BCH from electron cash, i use seed from electrum wallet with 2fa. now my electron cash wallet using 2fa also.
is the electron cash wallet 2fa = electrum wallet 2fa?

i already got BCH from electron cash. now, can i use electron cash wallet and electrum wallet with the same laptop?

thanks

Re: [GUIDE] How to claim Bitcoin Cash

Hi I followed this tutorial:

1. Install Electron Cash on a machine that does not have your
 Electrum wallets.

 2. Wait until the BCC hard fork has taken place, and a few BCH blocks
 have been mined.

 3. Move all your Electrum funds to a new Electrum wallet. This will
move only your BTC, and not your BCH, because the BCH blockchain has
replay protection. Wait until the transaction is confirmed.

 4. Enter the seed of your (now empty) old wallet or private keys in
Electron Cash. Since the BTC have been moved to a new wallet,
entering your old seed in Electron Cash will not put your BTC funds
 at risk.

On Electron Cash I disabled Auto Server and chose casharia but I get only my BTC transactions and 0 BCH:

Where are my hidden BCH ?

has the problem solved?
same here....

I sent and received. You want your BTC wallet to be empty, leaving your BCH there.
If you import your private keys into a new wallet, you will import both BTC and BCH, and you will be back where you started!

Wait until the transaction is confirmed, before restoring from seed in Electron Cash. Apparently you need to select the correct server to get access to your BCH in Electron Cash.

Good luck and maybe start with a small amount, don't risk too much or trust anything too much!

so have you success claimed your BCH with electron cash?

how to change from standart to 2fa?
You will have to create a new wallet, select "Two Factor Authentication"... then read all the information about how it works, and how much it costs! 2FA is NOT a free service... more info here: https://api.trustedcoin.com/#/electrum-help

1. wait till fork done:
https://www.btcforkmonitor.info/
2. export keys to BCC wallet and make transactions

what do you mean 'make transactions'? thanks

Yes, you'll need to get a BCC compatible wallet... and then after the fork happens, you'll need to export your seed (or private keys) from Electrum and then import your seed (or private keys) into that BCC Wallet.

Electrum IS NOT compatible with BCC... You cannot create/send or receive BCC transactions with Electrum.

Refer: https://electrum.org/bcc.txt and https://electrum.org/bcc2.txt

ah...thanks for your respond.
how about electroncash.org wallet? or do you have any advice?
thank you
