Re: Reserve Bank of India Denies Involvement in Draft Bill to Ban Cryptocurrencies
by
SimonJones
on 11/06/2019, 13:21:35 UTC
Saw an article regarding this draft of banning cryptocurrencies in the economic Times newspaper website so this is also a false information are they just post this article without investigation further that news is true or false?

This is just clickbait on a whole new level. I saw prices crash everywhere including localbitcoins.. It is the traders that take so much damage and eventually go out of business..

"But there may be a change in the draft bill to have a mild punishment for those using cryptocurrencies on a “non-commercial basis”, another government official told BloombergQuint requesting anonymity as he’s not authorised to speak with the media. These individuals, he said, shall be punishable with a fine that will be notified by the central government."

It will be very difficult to dump the market further(it is possible, but it will be very difficult and dangerous), because the miners are already working at a loss on some coins, like ethereum. Bitcoin almost fell to mining cost price, so, i think, it worth to start to buy now.

Yes, it is the right time to buy bitcoins .

Re: Bitcoin in Indonesia is not legal

Bitcoin in Indonesia is not legal yet, all buying and selling activities must use rupiah. In the past many sellers offered payment with bitcoin, now they can't. the government has given regulations so that all trading activities must use the rupiah. will this be a negative or a positive impact?

Is it true? If it is then I must say that many people of Indonesia must be very sad because I  know many of them are very interested in crypto currencies and like keeping them up to date with technical advancement.

It's been 10 years since satoshi first published his bitcoin whitepaper! What is the best thing that you've bought using bitcoin? What is your best memory of bitcoin? How has cryptocurrency changed your life? Any message to the founder?

I want to thank Satoshi Nakamoto for his genius creation. He has helped many including me to achieve our dream in no time. I don't have only one best thing , there are many. The best memory of bitcoin was last year when I received the price which I never expected.

A friend of mine started to save money in BTC for his son.
Now he is in worry about the idea because of this last dropping months.

I told him to re-load some BTC up to lower the average.
If you have any suggestions about this please share

Its BTC a good way to save money for our kids?
Will this pay them a car? the university? a house? nothing at all?

I think he chose the right option. For long term investment, bitcoins has proved itself to be the best multiple times. So, please tell him not worry and hold his coins.

I have this self-conflict for a few months already

Therefore, we would be very grateful if the BitcoinTalk community could help us by giving us your feedbacks on the pages, what to improve, to add or to correct, and better if you can relay the information to your network, and even better, if you could make a little donation to encourage the hesitating ones.

Thank you for any help you can provide !

That's great news! The acceptance of such a big organisation is a boon to the bitcoiners .

A Billion People Will Be Using Cryptocurrency in 5 Years: Brian Armstrong
The world of money is revolutionizing in front of our eyes. Cryptocurrency is creating new paradigms for alternative payment systems and decentralized banking. There is no doubt that the user adoption of various cryptocurrencies is rapidly increasing. The cryptocurrency industry has become more fluid as the borders between it and mainstream finance continue to blur. At the same time, regulators are spending long hours at work to regulate the booming circle of crypto-enthusiasts.

It could be one of the prime reasons why Brian Armstrong believes crypto-adoption will increase at an astronomical pace in the next half-decade.

The Coinbase chief executive was responding to a question about cryptocurrency’s international outreach at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco, to which he predicted that 1 billion people would eventually be using cryptocurrencies in the next five years.

Armstrong believes a growing number of cryptocurrency companies will contribute to the overall crypto ecosystem growth. These companies, under a regulated environment, will issue their tokens backed by their respective market caps. In a way, these institutionalized digital assets will prove to be an alternative investment system in addition to equities.

“It makes sense that any company out there who has a cap table should have their token,” Armstrong said. “Every open source project, every charity, potentially every fund or these new types of decentralized organizations [and] apps, they’re all going to have their tokens.”

Coinbase, the U.S. company Armstrong heads, is one of the world’s largest bitcoin and altcoin exchanges by trading volume. They have only recently entered the U.K. markets to tap the growing crypto-user base in the country. Previously, it had been working actively in the U.S. and Europe, and it has amassed over 13 million users to date. That makes it 32.5 percent of the overall crypto-users — arguably, anyway.

Armstrong plans to expand Coinbase to more global territories. They have recently announced their plans to open new offices in Africa.

Yes,within 5 years nearly billion people will be using cryptocurrency. Man is rapidly progressing in the field of technology and people will prefer the things which can be done in one touch.

Re: some good info about bitcoin
by
SimonJones
on 17/11/2018, 03:52:40 UTC
I am trying to learn and share with u guys about bitcoin. I think it is gonna help someone like me.

"Research produced by the University of Cambridge estimates that in 2017, there were 2.9 to 5.8 million unique users using a cryptocurrency wallet, most of them using bitcoin"

one more interesting knowledge is :
"The word bitcoin first occurred and was defined in the white paper that was published on 31 October 2008. It is a compound of the words bit and coin".
( The white paper frequently uses the shorter coin).

so guys you can also share good and short info about bitcoin.

Thanks for sharing this information. We're so much involve in the crypto world but we miss many information about it .

Re: Received your bounty rewards?
by
SimonJones
on 17/11/2018, 03:44:46 UTC
How often are you scammed for bounty rewards? It's no surprise some devs are scamming the bounty hunters to save costs. It's always upsetting to do a good work and finally this time is wasted if the devs don't send tokens. Scam means if you don't receive tokens at all according to the initial rules when you joined.

How often were you scammed in the past considered in percent of all campaigns? How many were paid? And do you have an idea to avoid it?

I was never interested in being a bounty hunter so till now no such experienced of being scammed by the devs. People should stop bounty hunting if they get scammed like this.

Blockchain or Banks: Which has a Better Security for Financial Transactions?

By now, it’s highly likely that most of us understand how Blockchain technology has dramatically changed and how the world operates considerably. The Blockchain system is an openly distributed digital ledger technology behind the cryptocurrency industry. According to Alex Tapscott, the co-author of the Blockchain Revolution, the Blockchain technology is changing the concept of banking […]The post Blockchain or Banks: Which has a Better Security for Financial Transactions?

Re: My altcoins are down... by a lot
by
SimonJones
on 16/11/2018, 03:57:17 UTC
Hi,
So I’ve invested a bit of money into altcoins about a year ago, and did a bit of trading but then slowly lost the track of it... Until today, where I found my ledger in my closet and decided to give it another look.
So here I am now looking at my coins , and thinking on what to do... Hold on? Sell?...
I’ve got:

KMD EDG MSP

I’m down about 60% of my investment.

Any advice is appreciated!

EDIT: Yeah my entries are all super high tbh haha

EDIT 2:I’ve got quite a bit of faith in MSP & KMD Not sure about EDG though

You mentioned that you have already lost 60% of your investment so why not hold the rest at least for a month or two. Maybe this 40% will recover all your loses.

Re: Why should governments accept Crypto currencies?
by
SimonJones
on 14/11/2018, 04:27:46 UTC
Government is not against crypto if they can regulate it. They need to get taxes from people hiding their wealth in crypto. The reason why bitcoin was created is to let go from a corrupt centralized system and yet, almost all of the exchanges are already regulated by the government and even crypto holders are being taxed.

When it comes to the government laundering money using crypto that would be a risk for them since blockchain technology is made public and everyone can view transactions being made.

Sometimes people can't accept changes in technology that can possibly ruin their ways of stealing money from the people.  Grin

You got the perfect answer.

Re: ARE YOU GOING TO BE DECEIVED BY THE CURRENT STATE OF THE MARKET?
by
SimonJones
on 14/11/2018, 04:21:46 UTC
The value of bitcoin was apparently insignificant amount of cents when it was first launched but after the very first transaction by Laszlo Hanyecz by purchasing two pizzas in Jacksonvville with 10,000BTC its price rose by 900% that is from $0.008 to $0.08. Guys don't be deceived by the state of the market because bitcoin can just increased within some few minutes.Don't sell your bitcoins at a cheap price because cryptocurrency transactions and the blockchain is the future for financial systems. I am happy to be among the few ones to know this and all thanks to Satoshi Nakamoto and all the pioneers of blockchain technology.

Well said! I wonder what makes the people sell their bitcoins when they clearly know the nature of Cryptocurrencies.

Re: Will Bitcoin ever exist in currency notes?
by
SimonJones
on 14/11/2018, 04:16:19 UTC
It might interest you to note that the bitcoin policy has been accepted and implemented by some banks. Not long ago, I read a post on this platform which stressed on the facts that there are bitcoin ATMs in some parts of the Europe and United States.

The question is " how will these ATMs  operate?" Will customers withdraw money in the form of Bitcoin notes or fiat??? Please share your views on this topic. I need clarifications.

I don't think that bitcoin will ever exist in currency notes. It is a decentralized digital currency and it will never lose its aspect.
