Re: ♨♨♨ Bitcoin Fees Are Outrageous ♨♨♨

High transaction fees will kill bitcoin, but remember even if lots of people have stopped mining, there will be a difficulty correction to maintain the amount of blocks created. The cost problem is because people are mining as a business to make money. My understanding of the original theory was go use latent processing power.

No, however I believe after recent studies it is only a matter of time before it is either fully legalised or legalised for medicinal purposes in more countries. I also don't smoke, don't drink much, don't gamble do exercise its one of the best drugs around. Endorphins are great!

Re: Why is bitcoin price so stable in 2018?
by

It could be something as simple as the majority of traders are unwilling to sell below 10k. Therefore they are not  accepting offers below this figure. Meaning the community has imposed this lower cap.

If I had a large amount of bitcoin I would have started to sell small amounts by now. As  a currency bitcoin has a finite supply and if it were to replace currency as we know it 1 bitcoin would need to equate to around a million usd. However if it is not readily available at early adoption society will not accept it and will look for alternatives.  I am one of society that no longer believes bitcoin  is the full answer (but certainly part of it)

Have to say I like the reduction in posts made on this forum to qualify for airdrop. Means we get more constructive feedback/posts. Just a few more weeks and I can join airdrop too!

Haters are really starting to have to admit that this is a very serieus project.

Hahaha you are right. I dont trust Deep Onion team too. But this is serious and interesting project.
If I trusted a little, I would buy it. But even seeing deep onion scares me  Huh Shocked Cheesy

What do you think about current price? It was a nice price rise, would it be more?

The next steps after Android releases are DeepSend, iOS Wallet and finally Smart Contracts and it is these releases that will start the next wave in Feb/March up towards $100 I think.

I hope you are right. Lets relax and enjoy the ride!

I second that too.

How can you believe or invest in a coin where:

- The team premined it all
- The team have 3 million coins, very close to the whole amount in circulation
- 90% of coins are held by 7-8 wallets

?!

Possibly because they have been upfront about the fact that a lot of it has been premixed and how it is going to be distributed amongst others. Airdrop is a good idea and allows people who dont have big rigs to get involved and support something they think can work

I don’t like it that because of i did not create an Bitcointalk account sooner i can’t participate on the airdrops. I am holding a lot of onions and promote deep onion to a lot of friends and crypto friends. I convinced more than 30 people to join deeponion.

I am in the same position. But at least we bought early and are helping bring people to the community.

I believe bitcoin will increase in value and that is definitely a reason to hold. However in the long term there is a risk that too many people hold and new comers won't invest in bitcoin, retailers won't adopt bitcoin, and then what is the point of a currency you can't use? Bitcoin needs to be available to buy and trade if the currency is to survive.

Re: If bitcoin goes to zero
by

The only way btc can go to 0 is if there is no demand and people trying to sell. At this point that seems highly unlikely. If it does either all bitcoin will become worthless (everyone lost faith in all crypto) or a different coin would be used as the Base coin.  Think of companies listing on markets. Eg ftse or nasdaq or dow many companies list on multiple markets with different base currencies.

Don't really think there is much need, there is a huge amount of free publicity in the press at the moment, at least there is in the U.K.

Bitcoin was the first, or first popularised, doesn't make it the best.

Check out white papers of coins before you invest.

Personally I like the look of:
Eth
(Deep)Onion
Zcash
Dash.
XRP - I know there are a lot of haters- also has a 1/2 decent paper and has placed itself well within the Financial establishment.

Really interesting question.

Backup wallets/passphrases on an encrypted drive with instructions on how to use.

The encryption key would then need to be in your Last Will and testament, it could also be written in that said wallets are opened with all beneficiaries.

Depends how much you have really.

Yes Ripple can catch and beat Bitcoin in market cap, especially as big banks are now getting in on it.  It creates an interesting question for all currencies going forward.

Personally

BTC
Eth
XRP
Onion
Zec

All look like they have some gain in them by the end of 2018 but %age gain you want to be looking at coins below $1with a decent white paper.
