I think, and hope that most people will treat unknown sites as potential scams. At least people who deal with cryptos all the time. The most interesting thing was the fact that you were trying to get passive income for you 11 year old daughter.

Then I suggest that instead of working one of those job, volunteer yourself to become a slave, without the ability of choosing to get out. Have someone wealthy become your slave master, and you must do everything they said. And when you don't obey, if they wanted to they can give you a beating.

The cycle will always repeat to the next ico because majority of early buyers, investors, speculators are expecting to get early profit and they can go out as fast as possible with the help from the liquidity that will get by the coin when it can give them more than 3x from the ico prices.
Investors are looking for something that can give them easy profit.

The bad part is that it's probably just a few on the investors. Like 5% who do that and affect the price.

I've only really followed one ICO and the same happen. My assumption is that the people who got a first day bonus of sort were able to make a profit.

What I always wondered if there's a way for the US in particular go back to 1990s prices. What would have to happen for that to happen? It was just more convenient buying certain small items.

I'm still somewhat of a noob in all of this, so it goes a little over my head. What makes something be valuable in the future or not. But isn't it a good idea to have some Bitcoin cash, as well as Lite Coin and Eth. These coins are on Coinbase, and if we ever have another massive media blitz, these are the coins that the mainstream will put their cash in.

You're kind of right. I can't think of a time where a campaign really made me look farther and invest on a coin. Perhaps they were effective many years ago when there were less people into crypto and less ICOs. But if I was running an ICO I probably wouldn't do any bounties simply because of the quality of the post that many people give just to fill in a quora.

I would rather do an airdrop.

There really is no way to be 100% certain, so I suggest to not focus on ICOs, and focus on establish coins. I don't think you will be missing much, since the ICO market seems to be saturated and people dump as soon as the coin launches. Wait for when the coin is at least on the exchanges.

My plans, or rather hope is for basically to land a coin that will change my life for the better. I'm sure that's what everyone here wants. Hopefully I can achieve that, but I feel I need to get lucky.

I still do not know what privcyprivatekey does, so it does not look like MEW wallet?

If you say have a computer crash, or whatever, the private key lets you import you wallet/address to a new installation of privcy. Basically it give you access to whatever wallet it's for. That's why it's important that you don't share your private key with anyone. Maybe a loved one.

That's not a good statement. Exchanges are not godlike, able to be aware of every possible exploit there could possibly. No computer company it, whether is Apple, who recently had a USB lock immediately exploited in days, and anything computer related.

I think it's ok to upload them to sites like Dropbox and your email, so long as you encrypt them. Even if someone else gets access to them, they won't be able to use them.
