Re: Actual Blockchain Games
by

Thanks for sharing your games. There are plenty of really great blockchain games on the PlayStore. The first ones I tried were ads, just annoying so I stopped playing. Hopefully these three I'm downloading right now, which: Age of ILCoin, Crazy Defense, and Spells of Genesis I like. I will also study them and will come back here to provide reviews. Maybe tomorrow I'll start playing them. I do not want to play those types of pay to win.

I agree, where's the challenge if you simply pay to win?

Rather, playing to earn is something that's at least worthwhile instead. I'm playing Age of ILCoin on Android right now since I'm a zombie addict by default.

Re: Be aware of Halving Giveaway
by

It's a giveaway, are we meant to send instead of receiving bitcoins. What kind of giveaway requires participants to send coins?
Usually giveaways are free to join but scammers create fake giveaway where you are required to send X amount of BTC to receive X amount of BTC. These types of giveaway are fake. People should not make the mistake and send the BTC, that's what I'm saying.

That is very true, otherwise why bother giving and risking your BTC based on a promised giveaway like that?

For me, it's better to lose BTC when you trade rather than lose your BTC from a scam instead. You learn from your mistakes, but at least you can use that lesson to possibly not do the same mistake all over again when trading.

Re: 1 week until bitcoin pizza day
by

The first BTC transaction happened on January 12th when Hal Finney received 10 BTC from Satoshi.
Everytime I heard Hal Finney name mentioned here it really made me realize how amazing those first and pioneered people who adopt bitcoin was. Its just like overwhelming that your name was on history as true bitcoiners. Ops but of course no one will ever forget the one that ever spend BTC for a product "Laszlo Hanyecz" and its only 1 week left before we celebrate the pizza day. Today a lot of people believe adoption will grow for BTC peer to peer usage but this event was really prove it that it is.

For everyone wants to read or dont have idea of bitcoin history its always overwhelming to read it.

Bitcoin History

I don't really think that Bitcoin in this current state should be used for microtransactions. It's just not convenient to buy a cup of coffee with BTC. One can do that, but it's more convenient to buy it for fiat.
I'm not saying that BTC is useless. I just think that there are better projects out there to be used for microtransactions.

To simplify things perhaps, does anyone else think that existing stable coins are better suited and would be a better solution to be used for microtransactions instead, by simply transferring your Bitcoin (or altcoin) first to your preferred stable coins before doing that microtransaction?

This time is very crucial for the whole world due to COVID. Not only crypto the whole ecosystem is down. It is not about only you should invest in BTC you can invest in other cryptos as well which you think gives you good returns in the future. You can buy small amounts of the coin if the budget is a constraint. Stay safe and happy trading.

Depending on where you located at and including your current financial health for investing, COVID-19 does make you think not twice... maybe even thrice... because nothing is still certain until the pandemic concern has been resolved to a certain extent.

It's a good suggestion since like what you've said "you can buy small amounts of the coin if the budget is a constraint" indeed. But always make sure you that you have a back-up plan already, in order for you to avoid selling your crypto and avoid incurring unexpected losses as well.

Re: Marijuana should be legalized.?

In my country this plant is highly prohibited but according to research the weed plant contains synthetic substances that may help treat a range of sickness and side effects, numerous individuals contend that it ought to be lawful for medical  purposes. Indeed, a developing number of states have legalized  weed for therapeutic use.

What's your take on Marijuana?
Accept or Fuck?

Using it for medical reasons is a no-brainer for me, why not.

But if we're talking about smoking it instead other than for medicinal purposes, I wouldn't agree since I couldn't really relate since I actually don't smoke, that's why.

Re: What if?

All major cryptocurrency exchanges turn into "bad guys" and only allow people to buy bitcoin and not sell it
do you think that this will have a positive impact over Bitcoin's price?

Yes, because if ever this might happen, Bitcoin will actually be considered as the victim in your scenario.

Don't you think that people will try to sell bitcoin for less and therefore impact the price?

But of course, in order for this "what if" scenario to occur and for this to happen other than the usual whale dumping or bear market scenario, there must be a radical reason why these major cryptocurrency exchanges are doing this (this is the missing link or reason that still needs to be known), of course.

What inspires you the most?
It often happens that people lack inspiration or motivation. They have no example to emulate in order to become better.

Knowing that I've done and achieved something positive in my life, either for me or for others instead somehow.

Stupid question but what if:

All major cryptocurrency exchanges turn into "bad guys" and only allow people to buy bitcoin and not sell it
do you think that this will have a positive impact over Bitcoin's price?

Yes, because if ever this might happen, Bitcoin will actually be considered as the victim in your scenario.

320.msg54374443#msg54374443 date=1588778371]
Now the reverse scenario:
All major cryptocurrency exchanges only allow people to sell bitcoin and not buy it
do you think that this will have a positive impact over Bitcoin's price?
[/quote]

Yes, same answer as above.

Also, more importantly because in your scenario... it only applies to all major cryptocurrency exchanges, there's still minor cryptocurrency exchanges, including P2P transfers that are still possible, and POS transactions as well.

Hello!

Which is best VPN for Netflix.. have tried Purevpn and private internet access.. both are not working
getting proxy error

For convenience sake, is it possible for the OP to provide an "edited" updated list to show the working status and credibility of all trusted verified VPN's for Netflix watching? Cool This would be well appreciated, of course.

As a beginner on any forum for that matter, my mantra would be to always tread carefully in the meantime. Start with the basics, read and absorb all things related to newbies, including familiarizing yourself with all the rules and regulations until you've learned the ropes. Either way, I'm sure it will be a very informative experience that will benefit newbies in the long run.

I wasn't aware that there's actually fake BTC out there! Shocked This is an eyeopener for me and I thought it's just those scammers I would need to avoid when trading by just sticking with trading via the legit exchanges only.

Hi guys
Trust you are staying safe, I have this to ask and you contribution will be highly welcome. "Though BTC is rising gradually again but
the strong downtrend of Bitcoin and the fact that economies are being affected by COVID-19 epidemic, Is this an opportunity for investors to buy and accumulate before the halving cycle occurs?"

There's no "perfect time" to buy bitcoin in my opinion, it's really up to us, how are going to take the "risk". Maybe you can invest today, but can you hold on it?

You can buy anytime you want, however, if you have little appetite for risk, meaning you easily succumb and got nervous when the price started to go down because you are losing your portfolio and you can't think logically and all you wanted to do is sell right away. Then I guess you won't last in this game, just saying.

I share the same sentiments you've mentioned, including more or less the same comments by others here as well. You must have a budget and you must be prepared for both the best case or worst-case scenarios when investing. Also, the amount of research could never be discounted and if you rush to soon, you might regret and be burned by your hasty ill-advised decisions.

Re: Stay away from centralized wallets
by
SirCharles
on 12/04/2020, 14:58:51 UTC
Do you even know the difference between Centralized wallets and Dec wallets? Days back I lost my coinbase account and the team aren't helping, I'm glad I only have little Bitcoin on the account, would have been a different story if I use coinomi or atomic wallet because they give users 💯 control over their funds, private keys and recovery seed are important, always remember that

Example of Centralized wallets
1. Coinbase
2. Nexo
3. Luno
4. Xapo
5. Freewallet

Any wallets that ask you create an account with mail and password is centralized, they monitor your private keys for you, be smart

When you say "they monitor your private keys for you," does this mean that you don't have access to your private keys (or they don't give it to you)?

Also, can they easily hack (or get your crypto) if they wanted to?

by
SirCharles
on 12/04/2020, 14:12:13 UTC
Do you stick with the self-quarantine? Angry Looking for extra income to earn in your free time! Shocked. The following 3 sources will allow you to earn some good amount of income for creating, surfing, and commenting on the content on their site. Let's check it out,

1.Uptrennd
Uprennd is a content platform that rewards it's users for reading, commenting, and posting on the platform. Anyone can contribute to the platform without any hassle, Uptrennd is a serious platform who cares the free speech. Users will receive native 1UP tokens for contributions to the platform. Currently, the platform consists of the over 75, 000 community.

2.Publish0x
Publish0x is also, a content platform that rewards various tokens for creating content and reading the content of the platform. When you are reading some posts, the existing Publish0x reward pool allows some amount that can be a reward for a content creator and you. If you are a good content creator, you can earn a good amount of tokens for each post you are posting.

3.Steemit
Steemit is a social content platform, where you can post, comment, for rewards. It works very similarly to Uptrennd platform. You can receive STEEM for your contribution to the platform.

Already, are you working on some platform?. Let's discuss further.

I've heard of Steemit but I'm not familiar with Uptrennd and Publish0x.  I'll check each one and see if it's worth my time to try.

By the way, if you've done any content creation already, can you provide us examples or links to your recent work with any of the platforms you've mentioned?

Looking forward to it and thanks for sharing!
