Re: BID ON BTC/USD PRICE AND WIN BITCOINS

You might want to get a better domain than just a blogspot if you are going to run this properly. All it does is suggest you have no money or are a cheap skate and enhances the notion that you're simply running a scam. That being said, you're not going to get anyone playing this unless you provide some sort of escrow to ensure that you don't abscond with the money.

4. Only one account per person allowed.

Just out of reference, but you might be hard pressed to ensure that this happens considering that account traders like the one in the post above seem to be signing up multiple times for signature campaigns with limited slots in order to extract a higher price. I would be wary of users who don't have a consistent and regular post history, but even then that isn't a good way to tell.

Was this coming from those accounts with random character names making a single bet of .1 (or however much it was if there were more that weren't on the high rollers list)?

Not too sure. Quite possibly.

If I'm thinking along the right lines I think the attack have gone like this:
1. User 'deposits' by sending a payment to an address
2. User bets with that deposits
3. a) If it wins, let the deposit confirm
    b) If it loses, attempt a double spend to an alternate address that's owned by the user
4. Rinse and repeat, to win.

Would this be the right idea Stunna?

Hard to give a best - but I would say I've greatly enjoyed the Wheel of Time series. Nice to have an epic fantasy laid out in so much detail with a lot of character depth for once.

I use it as a cleaning product.

Haha, that was a pretty good one I must admit. I am clean as a whistle - might occasionally go out and have a beer but I'm definitely not an alcoholic or even consistent drinker.

I don't see why timezones would have any implication on BTC aside from the fact that certain people in certain countries will be asleep at certain trading times. But it shouldn't affect the system as a whole.

"Even if he starts with the absolute minimum bet, he could still run out of money after losing thirty, fifty, a hundred times or more in a row. "

If the site you're gambling at gives you a 30 loss streak in less than 1 million rolls it is rigged.

*facepalm* It is irrelevant the size of the losing streak - it does not prove that a casino is rigged, only that variance thus far has been a huge dick to you. To prove something is rigged you actually need to find a piece of code that is changing the outcome of your rolls such that you lose, until then the best you can say is that the site is extremely suspicious.

I'd trust JD also more than most online wallets  Wink

Well put it this way, doog has had access to over 40K BTC at one point and to this day I don't think he's stolen a single BTC of that. Comparatively, TF just upped and went away with a good 4K, so I would trust doog  to a far greater extent than any web wallet.

Just saying, if they don't use split key generation then it's highly likely they have a copy of your private key and hence will be able to steal your funds any time they like. My advice is to NOT use this service until they offer split key generation and delete any of the addresses generated by them and not use them. If you want a vanity address the best way is to do it yourself on an offline computer using vanitygen/oclvanitygen.

When you double/triple or almost double/triple your funds... this site will give you at least 10-25 RED Streaks no matter what you press high or low.. what your strategy is.. the bot will learn your strategy and then make the opposite from that strategy, remember i sacrifice 0.2 BTC in here.. altou thats maybe small to you... for me 0.0000000x BTC is important.

Well clearly you don't even understand basic mathematics  Roll Eyes First off in probability there is always variance - if you want to prove something is rigged do 1 billion rolls and if there is a variance of greater than 1% from the expected value than maybe you can claim it. If you do like a couple of thousand rolls of course you're going to hit variance - claiming it is the result of a rigged casino is just ignorance. Same thing with having a 'strategy', they all have the same expected value in the long term so there is no such thing as a 'strategy'. Once more, anyone with an elementary understanding of maths will realise this so you have simply shown how little you know.

Ritz just paid out! This is not "Highest Paid Signature" anymore Wink

Looks like it's time for Stunna to up his rates as promised. I do wonder how this competition is going to pan out - seems Ritz is determined to have the higher rates and can prove he's paid out.

Re: Activity didn't increase for 2 weeks?
by
Sirrah
on 01/04/2014, 05:36:04 UTC
Activity is calculated in the following fashion and increases on different days for different accounts as a result of each person registering on different days.

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every 30 minutes.

Your probably out by a couple of hours, but it will definitely increase. Trust me, it's highly unlikely you've discovered a bug exclusive to your account - much more likely you've got your times mixed up. It is also completely irrelevant how many times you post as long as your post count is > the number of two week periods you've made a post.

Google Drive offers the same size for the same price. I don't see why anyone would use you when a) they can't be sure to trust you b) your service may not last as long as its paid for. Comparatively, with Google at least one can be sure that your files won't randomly disappear or they'll run off with funds.

Re: BFL bringing down the trust rating?
by
Sirrah
on 31/03/2014, 09:08:37 UTC
Edit: Look at the last one... "Bribes people for good trust ratings" from a 4 post newbie. Not only does it not make any sense and is highly contradictory, but someone with such low activity/a throw away account that's not posted in 6 weeks shouldn't be able to participate in the trust system.

Technically speaking his opinion (although I do agree it is highly contradictory) has as much weight as your opinion considering that to a general layperson who knows neither of you it is hard to choose which is deemed trustworthy. This is the reason that although they are allowed to create trust ratings they are not on the DefaultTrust list as they are not deemed to be trustworthy by the mods on this site. Sure it is open to revenge attacks - but a moderated trust system is completely worthless as it simply propagates the views of a few people. The way it is set up is that you can create your own trust list and hence only 'trust' people you actually feel you can 'trust'.

The whole point of Bitcoin is that it is irreversible so unfortunately you're not going to be able to get them back. The best you can do is figure out your security flaw and patch that ASAP.

Where is your wallet stored and for how long has it been encrypted?

Also, I have never heard of a "default trust list" lol where is it? can I see it?

You should be able to find it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust
If you wish to change the depth of the trust list you can (to a max of 3) or you can choose to ignore defaulttrust and use your own trust list.

Poor Zoomhash losing all their advertisers to GAW. I'm gonna go with my word and stick with them till the end of the month.

Well that's how competition works - tends to drive up prices and people go and choose the one giving them the best value. Zoomhash's best option would be to shove up rates too if they still want advertisers.

Sweet, with Litecoin out of the way hopefully AMD GPUs will be cheaper thanks to the significantly lowered demand (if anything supply may overshoot demand because of this). Nice time for me to pickup a high graphics card then.

Anyways, on topic, I'm highly doubtful of anyone making a significant profit from mining given the power consumption and the capital necessary to start mining at this point. Not to mention all the delays with preorders and such.

First off your in the wrong section - should be in computer hardware. Next, no offence but I'm pretty sure that the 280 at least is not worth 1 BTC, you can get one new for less than that.
