I think if the pump and dump is possible in every market and the price really affected by this practice then it has a possibility that the price of bitcoin or other cryptos can be manipulated as well.

That is very risky because many altcoins are not able to last for too long with a good performance. For me if you want to hold it for long term why not exchange it into ethereum. This is safer.
