Re: Why Millennials like Cryptocurrencies
by
SkyFlakes
on 28/11/2018, 13:43:49 UTC
Millenial generation was known to be the most innovative and developed generation in terms of technology. Cryptocurrency is one of this innovation. This makes the millenials be attracted with it as they/we can see the potential of this currency. Also, millenials were also knowledgeable enough about those innovation making them aware with all of the aspects of such. Thus, millenials would be more attracted to it as it slowly takes the mainstream.

Re: Are you going to pay taxes?

Yes I think, because I believe that this taxes were for many reasons. This is also the one that makes a society to function. Thus, I am determinedly deem to help my country to have progress in society. I know that it isn't gonna have that huge effect but at the end of the day at least I have tried to do so. Although, taxes were commonly used in not good ways, but that story would go with the conscience of those people who have betrayed their own people.

Re: AI represents our desire to create God
by
SkyFlakes
on 22/11/2018, 23:48:38 UTC
Lex Fridman, a research scientist at MIT working on human-centered artificial intelligence, believes that the movement towards the creation of artificial intelligence represents our desire to create a God-like entity that is greater than ourselves. It would answer the questions our brains are too limited to figure out and solve problems that we can't solve.

By creating AI, scientists and researchers are learning the complexities of the human brain, which is still largely a mystery. People learn best through doing, so by creating another consciousness, we are coming to a greater understanding of what it means to be human ourselves.

Once AI is a consciousness capable of answering life's most perplexing questions, maybe we will come to worship it as a God of sorts.

What do you think?

Logically speaking, this might be possible. But if I would see and assess the cureent situation of our society, faith in the supreme being of any religion is still higher. I think we are far from this situation. But I am not saying that it is not possible to happen as one of the major effects of technology is that it makes us less of a human meaning we loss what makes us we are, human. And I think that's the emotion that was washed by the advancement of technology.

Re: Why I think we need politicians

Every nation do have a government that runs the whole society. Thus, we can say that a society won't work if there's no government. Regardless of how good or bad a government is, it still runs a society. Furthermore, a government will not work if there's no people behind it, and that where politician role takes place. We might don't like some politician running oyr government but still they are the ones who makes it function.

Re: Challages faced by women in africa

Hello friends
Am new to the forum but already am feeling a sense of acceptance from the forum from both gender(although it's hard to decipher sex from some names) Which is in a huge contrast to what I and so many women like be pass through in West Africa.
It's so appalling that the women are limited to domestic work and not giving much chance to achieve there dreams. Women are just seen as a property rather than an existing being, families trade their daughters out to the  highest bidder without even giving her a choice or even wondering what her dreams are.
Women are fast losing the sense of self esteem and inferiority complex is fast creeping and affecting our zeal.  I have always been a knowledge seeker regardless of my background I want to be seen as an example to other women From my region. I  am not so financially buoyant but I have taken it up to myself to spend from my little purse to seek my cryptocurrency knowledge and also raise women in my region and make them independent and not under the shadows of anybody.

I would be seeking your encouragement in achieving this goals. We owe it to humanity

What's wrong in being a woman?

There's nothing wrong with being woman, there's something wrong to those people who still have those mindset. We constantly experience changes, and our society of course would be the first one to experience it. We couldn't deny the fact that there comes a time that those mindset about women were accepted but things change now. Mindset with women of course shoukd be change. It is pathetic that some people still can't cope up to the traditional thinking of society.

Re: Depression.. the disease of our times?

I think it is not the disease of our time. It is just what most of the people think even though they are not really suffering from depression. My psychology teacher told us that our mind is so powerful that it whatever your mind believed, your body will achieve. This means that people in this time often misdiagnosed theirselves on the symptoms of this disease. It is not really recommended to just look and diagnosed yourself among symtoms, it is still best to go to a practitioner as if your mind set those symptoms it might really lead to what the symptom is.

Re: How the Bank works to make money?
by

on 22/11/2018, 23:13:44 UTC
How do you think banks make money, how does a bank make money to pay its employees and business operational?
Does the bank rely solely on interest on loans from banks?

Of course not, bank is a business and it has many ways of having money. This includes their charges in many transactions done by the customer. Also they have a part on the interest that you got which I think is where most of its income came from.

Re: What should I choose
by

on 22/11/2018, 23:04:30 UTC
Hi guys, I just graduated from college and wanted to have a better income but didn't know what to do. I want to find a solution to get around this situation. There are just friends who invite businesses to provide income, and there are also those who invite to invest in cryptocurrencies. If you are in my position and faced with these 2 choices, which one will you choose:
1. Invest in cryptocurrencies
2. Opening a real business

Give me the reason why you choose between the one above

regards

I think opening a real business should be your best option in your situation. Cryptocurrency becomes so unpredictable making its risk more into having no successful investment if you would have. Well, that only my opinion. But you could try doing it both which you can open a real business incorporating cryptocurrency in the payment.

Re: Addiction to tech treatment
by

on 22/11/2018, 08:42:37 UTC
I don't use any drug or substance to get relief from stress but I know that technology has evolved to a point where VR is being used to treat people who are facing mental troubles. I think it's a good thing but I wonder if someone could get so addicted that he'd want to be plugged forever to a supercomputer.

The current era of technology that we have makes everything that we could think of be possible. And this idea maybe is already existing or on its way. It is indeed that it is good that we are treating more diseases with the use of technology. But everything that exceeds the normal rate is bad for everyone. Thus, this ideas of addiction to technology treatments makes it more possible due to that reason.

Re: What is wrong with today's society?

Have you ever felt alone and depressed? Have you ever felt that nobody likes you? Have you ever walked on the street and felt that everybody is looking at you in a bad way?
I really don't understand what happened to people.. did they forgot how to smile?!
I feel that people don't care anymore about others and i have seen so many fundraisers online that barely collect 100$. I see people acting bad with animals and nature.. and one with another. Where is this going to lead? Global corporations don't know what else to do to make money on poor people backs and step on bodies to become no.1.
I am ashamed of today's society.. we live in a cruel world and i wish it ends soon because this is not the way humans should live.
How do you feel about what's happening around us?

What you have stated becomes normal to everyone nowadays. But I think we were totally different to what we all used to be before. I believe that technology plays a major role in this changes. For example, social media have set some expectations that isn't at all the reality for most of us. Since everyone were using it, they tend to compare and end up being depressed or whatever. The thing is technology is indeed making advance but it slowly washing off the real personality a human should have.

Re: Do you think Doctors lie?
by

on 19/11/2018, 12:49:56 UTC
Everyone had lied in their entire life and doctor is not an exemption to it. Lies are basically not good to practice. But there are some lies that might brought a good efffect. But I think in the doctors view, I think this kind or any kind of lie should not be happening. A doctors job always holds a life of a person, thus, a doctor should always be transparent. A doctor should not have any mistake, and if ever, that shouldn't be kept as a lie. All in all, doctors are just humans as they also experienced having lie but that shouldn't be job related I think.

Re: What would education be like in a society where work was optional?
by
SkyFlakes
on 08/11/2018, 22:10:07 UTC
Advancements in AI and the gradual digitization of society could one day lead to a world where earning a living is inessential to living a decent life.

Most education systems are designed to prepare people for the work force, because it's hard to survive in this world without being great at following directions, writing, and understanding some other complexities.

I think creativity and art will become the greatest mental assets in a society of easy abundance. If the majority of the population won't have to work, they'll have to be capable of keeping themselves fulfilled and occupied in other ways.

How do you think the approach to education will adapt to AI and other revolutionary technologies?

I think, even though we are thinking the possibilities for this to happen, at the end of the day, we can see that work is still what primarily we need to survive the daily life. Education shouldn't look like it was into pushing evryone to just work. Creativity can be used in every way and one of it is in our work. But having majority of people to have no work, I think would have a big effect to economy of a certain place.

Re: My Advice on Investing in Crypto
by
SkyFlakes
on 11/10/2018, 23:59:22 UTC
Pretty good post. Crypto does appeal to people who don't have a lot of money to invest. It is the beginning of a brand new type of currency and we are just getting in on it. Most people don't even understand how it works yet or think that it's a scam. Although, honestly, a lot of people think that about foreign exchange and the stock market too. The delayed gratification necessary to lay out your money for crypto instead of toys and gadgets will pay off.

I agree with this. I love the whole argument as it makes me understand this topic. It is indeed that most people who engage with cryptocurrency were not that knowledgeable enough so they end up being scammed. Thus, it is essential to be aware about this. We should take advantage of this innovation and don't let it harm us in any way it could be. Being wise should what we all possessed.

Re: How to save money on a long-term period

If you want to save your money all you have to do is to invest and make your own bank account so that you have a money that can use in the future.

This is also what came to my mind. If you want to have a long term period of saving, putting your money into a bank is the best option to take. You should however be wise to where you will put as if you want your money to grow and be safe over a long period of time.

Re: WHY SHOULD ALL MEN BE RESPONSIBLE FOR RAPE?
by
SkyFlakes
on 11/10/2018, 23:30:43 UTC
Yes, most of the rape cases were into women made by men. But that doesn't affects the wholeness of men in the world. Those men who did something to a woman is of course the one who should be responsible for the act. I think men should not be affected just because of the act of other men.

Re: THE SOLUTION IS CLOSER THAN YOU THINK
by
SkyFlakes
on 11/10/2018, 23:18:51 UTC
Sometimes when we are faced with the challenges of life, it is better to look for basic solutions to the problems than looking very further away from you. It is always normal for humans to find solutions to problems they face by searching for answers on the internet and by reading books. But I have realized that most often than not the solutions to most of the problems we face in life can be found around us such as people’s experiences and close relatives or friends who we can confide in. I know the internet and some books can be very resourceful in providing solutions but the first line of defense to solving problems must be the people around you and other happenings, look no further the solutions to your problems could simply be you.

This is a nice realization. This made me also think that challenges is always part of our life. We should never let it win over us. Also, it was indeed that we always tend to overthink the solutions. But in fact, the solutions werejust near us. We should appreciate all of the persons around us and see that we are blessed enough to overcome a lot of problems.

Re: Factors that affects the value of bitcoin...
by

on 11/10/2018, 22:59:26 UTC
Factors that influence the value of the bitcoin:

1) government bitcoin policies and laws
2) political situation
3) social trends
4) appearance of new competitors
5) artificial influence on the value by trading at the crypto market
6) news (not always true one)

and many more. Could be something new will appear in the future. Did I miss anything?

Just like the current currencies, it is affected by such things listed above. Since, bitcoin is also a currency, but in digital form, it also exhibits the same idea to what it affects. Government, politics, trendings, competitprs were some of if. Every factors that could be listed can affect any currency in a small amount.

Re: Can Bitcoin really stabilize any country's economy level?
by
SkyFlakes
on 11/10/2018, 22:54:51 UTC
Factors that stabilize an economy are factors that can contribute directly to the economy. They are things like factors of production and not money, be it fiat or bitcoin.

For instance, entrepreneurship/humans can manipulate or interact with the environment which is God's gift, to grow the economy via ideas etc.
Land too as a factor of production can be used to cultivate agricultural products which are exported finished or raw products.
Labour also is very much useful. That is of different types, skilled, semi skilled and unskilled. They are all employed to see that work is carried out towards the growth of the economy.

So money is not included, also bitcoin.

I think this one catches my attention, and this makes ne believe that money doesn't really play a major role in the growth and development of the economy of a country. Thus, bitcoin would not help any country to stabilize their economy. It woukd help people in a short term, but that would not primarily affect the economy where that people resided.

Einstein supported socialism.

Pyschos like Trump support capitalism.

It is indeed that samart people would support socialism. Smart people would not go for the self-interest but for the common good of everyone. Those who support capitalist are those who support deprivation to everyone. Ever since, I've seen capitalism as something that is for the interest of a person. It causes a lot of problems, that's why I strongly support socialism right now.
