Based on https://coinmarketcap.com/. XRP defeated ETH again. Is there any chance that XRP can defeat BTC too in the future?

I am newbie and some of my friends who are already into crypto market say I am late. This isn't the time to start investments and I must refrain and just research for later.

Do you think the same? Is it really not the time to invest as a beginner?

Eth has shown that it is the king of altcoins and for everyone that invested when it dropped to 83$ kudos because you made the right move.

2019 does not look that reddish infact it is very much possible that market just be reverse of 2018. Instead of the fall we have seen this year could be just about multiple times rise in the value of many altcoins could just happen and help the people to get the desired returns this year.

Many people also think the market will improve, I wish bitcoin will reach 10,000 dollars this year again

I was always a huge Bitcoin person. Maybe owned a few Litecoin. Than 2017 came and I was into NEO, Ethereum, Cardano, etc. I’m a HODLER not a trader.

I saw the value of my NEO drop from 1BTC ats peak to .25BTC now.
same with all my other altcoins. Some are worthless. Others still are worth .1 BTC. .2 BTC.  This bothers me way more than the USD loss.

So I’m thinking it’s time to start to face the facts and retain whatever satoshis are left by trading most of them back to Bitcoin.

Any thoughts on this? I bought 100 NEO at $14 saw it go to $200 than down to $8.

I’m a Bitcoin guy at heart. And it kills me to see all the Satoshi losses.

Seems the market is more manipulated that ever before with Options trading. Everyone is "holding" out and waiting to see but do you think it will really come?  I lean to it being more steady increase over time that some mass crazy rise like last year.

What is everyone predicting as the bottom on the market for ETH and BTC for 2019

What do you do with your junk coins? almost all new Altcoin don't have good prices to make a profit.
Will there be a rule about a good project that doesn't produce junk coins? Disappointing.

2019 seems to be a new hope for crypto, because some developments will probably occur that year, for example Ethereum will soon fork as a refinement and as a means to increase prices, do you all believe 2019 will be better for crypto currency?
