Zergpool with HiveOS: Verus Coin
by

Ive been playing around with various CPU mining, pools and programs and Im not leaning more towards HiveOS.  I've have been mining on Zergpool for a few months however and I would like to setup HiveOS top work with my existing wallet setup with Zergpool.

I tried creating a few fight sheets but the miner keeps failing and complains about a parameter is incorrect.  I haven't found much online for my use case.  im using the SRBMiner, exactly what i used with Awesome miner and that's working fine.

Im guessing im entering the command lines incorrectly but I cant see where or how to correct it.

this is the parameters zergpool states

-a verthash -o stratum+tcp://verthash.na.mine.zergpool.com:4534 -u <WALLET_ADDRESS> -p c=BTC,mc=VTC

this is what I have in the flight sheet adn teh coin is set to BTC

RBMiner-MULTI configuration
Hash algorithm: verushash
Wallet: 4GpgP1s2ZbcE9785RNbHjcEtrh1JVUU1Gz7G
Worker name: BRIck012
Pool server:port stratum+tcp://verthash.na.mine.zergpool.com:4534
Pass:x
Plugin and device configs:-a verthash -o -p c=BTC,mc=VTC

Desktop Wallets

Hi, I'm playing around with different CPU mining options and I am compeltely new to Desktop wallets. I recently started using unMineable and XMRig. With unMineable I'm mining Doge coin and I setup a desktop wallet with Exodus. With XMRig I'm mining Monero and I setup a Monero wallet.

In Exodus, I just ran the program added dodge coin to the list and grabbed an address for doge (i did secure it with passwords and and backed it up). unMineable is running at a good rate (10kh) and the payout is at 30 Doge coins.

I set the Monero wallet up in Advance mode...maybe the first mistake.
I updated the Joson file with the wallet info and pool, pool.supportxmr.com:443 for XMRig and just ran the exe. its running...its doing stuff. but the wallet is still Syncing and I'm not sure if I set this up correctly. When I attempt to close it its asking about the local node running in the background.

Q: Did i miss anything with this setup?
Q: Do i really want my system to act as a node and download the hash in advanced mode in the Monero wallet?
Q: Do I have to leave the wallet open for it to get the deposit in my wallet?
Q: there are mining options within the Manara wallet should I be using this?
Q: should I be waiting for the Manara wallet to sync fully before mining with XMRig

Im looking at Cudo miner as well.

in awesome miner i have the pool connection URL set to

stratum+tcp://rx2.na.mine.zergpool.com:8335

Coin is set to Unspecified RX2 and then i have my wallet address

Thanks for the reply.  the pools you've suggested are in Asia and Europe.  Hash rates are worse and rejections are even higher unfortunately. hmm might just stick with Verus Coin.

CPU result rejected [invalid share]

Im using ZergPool with the RX2 algo to mine LUX coin via CPU.  I'm using Awesome miner with SRBMiner-Multi.
I'm at about 95% rejected right now and I've looked around to find a solution, checking the region, NA,  check latency, less than 100ms to the pool.

mining Verus coin works without issues, but I know that's a different algo anything else I can check?

Thanks for the replies.  So i tried setting up Awesome miner with your suggested alogs, and it still prefers miningpoolhub with Myriad coin witht eh profit switching.

I setup a managed miner with zergpool but I couldn't select the Verus coin, so i set it to use the Yespower unspecified and it is showing better profits but its mining PYRK even when i enter the command line

-a verushash -o stratum+tcp://verushash.na.mine.zergpool.com:3300 -u 3Gpg76P1s2ZbcE92MRNbHE1h1JVUU1Gz7G -p c=BTC,mc=VRSC,m=solo,ID=Verushasher

Squeezing the most out of my CPUs

Hi,

I've started playing around with CPU mining and would like some input on what I've done so far.

I currently have a server with 64 cores (4x16 AMD Opteron 6378, 64 threads) with 256GB of DDR3 dual channel memory.
I'm using Awesome Miner and I've set it up for profit switching with mining-dutch (turned off due to weird coin its mining), zergpool, miningpoolhub, and nicehash and its using the Yescrypt algorithm primarily and the SPUminer-sse2.

So far its been consistently mining Myriad coin through miningpoolhub, at 10.52kH/s with a $0.49/day or $14.90/month estimated profit.

I've tried benchmarking other algorithms and tried other miners but they don't seem to either work or have terrible performance.  I've looks around for ways to maximize the CPU usage since at normal loads its barely pushing 55% CPU across all 64 cores, so Im thinking this is a miner app limitation?

I've been looking at other pools to possibly plug into awesome miner through miningpoolstats.stream, but again I've only had luck with the Yescrypt algorithm so its been limiting me in what I can mine.

Are there any other options for my setup?

I believe its 64 threads, its a 16 core AMD Opteron 6378 CPU x4 with 256GB of RAM

What is command to limit cpu usage if i dont wanna go 100% ?

There's no way to limit CPU usage except by by reducing the number of threads.

Although this might be the same answer, what if I WANT to use 100% of the CPU.  I have a system with 64 cores and using this with awesome miner and its barely passing 50% usage.
