Sporting Lisbon would easily get past the lose of Gyokeres it's not going to affect them much cause they're not a team that depends too much on a striker to win games moreover the huge fees recovered from the sale of Gyokeres is enough to get them two fast rising attackers then train them into becoming the new Gyokeres for the team.

Last season, Gyokeres played 33 games in the Portuguese league and scored 39 goals, while Sporting scored 88 goals. Benfica scored 84 goals. This means that if Sporting didn't have Gyokeres, the number of goals scored would be much lower than the 88 goals, and Benfica would be champions.

now see: Portuguese league winners

https://www.worldfootball.net/winner/por-primeira-liga/

When Ruben Amorin left Sporting, the team didn't fall because the new coach didn't change anything in the squad, but now with Gyokeres' departure, he lost his best striker and signed another in his place:

Sporting CP have agreed deal to sign Luis Javier Suárez from Almería, here we go!

Deal confirmed as exclusively revealed in June.

€25m fee package plus 10% sell-on clause.

https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1948476766454251796

With the arrival of this new player, the team left by Amorin is changed, the new coach will start to have difficulties in dealing with the team and Sporting will return to being that team of the past that did not win the title, as a Benfica fan that I am, I am rooting for this to happen and Benfica will win the title again in many of the next seasons  Grin Grin Grin

Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1)
by

Losing is part of the game. PSG losing to Chelsea in the final of the Club world cup doesn’t make them not champions. PSG have dominated the French league and Europe last season so losing one game to Chelsea does not take away their championship title or reputation from them.

Those words are typical ones from a biased Chelsea fan with lots of sentiment about football. They're the type of football fans who barely watch football but listen all they write here from the radio station. I don't blame them finally,  I blame Doue for now squeezing the chance he had to put his side (PSG) ahead by the balls. That goal should have set the tempo up for PSG. Finally, there's nothing you'll say that makes sense to them now. Only the sensible Chelsea fans will tell you not to underate PSG next season.

In my opinion, the Club World Cup wasn't taken very seriously by many European clubs. When it comes to European Champions League matches, players from all teams run a lot and put in a lot of effort, but I haven't seen the same teams running much in Club World Cup matches. Chelsea has put in a lot of effort in the last 20 matches and has improved significantly. They've beaten some great teams. They undoubtedly deserve to win the final.

I'm a PSG fan, and I can see some of PSG's limitations. In last season's Champions League matches, they suffered some defeats, reached the final with great difficulty, and became champions. I'd say they won't make it to the final or become champions in the next European Champions League. But Chelsea has the potential to go far in the Premier League and Champions League; they can't be underestimated.

Re: Ultrasound Brain "Zapping" Treatment for Gambling addiction!?
by
Slow death
on 25/07/2025, 07:54:06 UTC
It's a nonsense to think that these therapies will change a person's habit in the first place.
I also thought the same way, but after thinking a little, I asked myself whether habits have anything to do with the human brain or not. We know that habits are psychological in origin, but they must have some connection to the brain. Where is this information about habits stored? And what makes them affect a person, pushing him to engage in these habits every time?

Therefore, there is most likely an area of the brain responsible for habits or addiction.

Yeah, it's radical and controversial as well, and if you read it, you will have to cringe specially zapping the brain? Maybe there will be side effects for all we know and it might be too late before we discover it and in worse case scenario, what if someone actually die doing the process.

I think the best method to really stop gambling is to get professional and medical help but not to the extend of having your brain compromised like this. And who do you think will take the chance to be the first patient?

These days, people do anything to get attention. We only need to look at cases of people who went on submarines to see the Titanic at the bottom of the ocean and died, or people who traveled to space to be tourists on Jeff Bezos's spacecraft. So, if this treatment were approved, there would be no shortage of volunteers for live testing, and they would lie about being the first human to be tested and cured. they will bring someone rich and famous to make the impact of publicizing the project's success greater.

But behind the scenes, they'll bring in poor people who live on the streets and have no relatives to be experimented on. That way, if something goes wrong, they die, or go even crazier, no one will know, and no one will care, unfortunately. Many of these experiments are funded by large pharmaceutical companies and billionaires, who spend a lot of money on them and want high returns when the project is a success. So the project's creators are also under pressure and anxiety:

1 - pressure from investors

2 - anxiety because they want to make history with their invention

Re: Is it still gambling if you're sure you're going to win?
by

Can we still say we are gambling if the event is something we are at least 90% sure that we are going to win?

Of course, we can still say we're betting. Take, for example, games with odds of @1.10. You might think it's a guaranteed win, so you can bet all your money, but then lose. I've seen many cases of this. I've made some mistakes myself, placing high-odds games like @3.00 and very low-odds games like @1.15 in a parlay. Then, I'd win the high-odds games and lose the low-odds game.

From this, you learn that there's no 90% or 100% guarantee when it comes to sports betting and gambling in general. Take the recent case of the Club World Cup final, where the odds were as follows: Chelsea win @5.00 and PSG win @1.60. At the end of the game, Chelsea won. So, if you and some others were 90% confident that PSG would win, you would have lost the bet.

Yesterday there was a game between Mirassol and Ceara, I bet on Mirassol's victory because in the last 5 games this team has performed well, they were a sequence of games without losing unlike their opponent Ceara who came into this game with a sequence of defeats, but I was surprised to see that Ceara had more possession of the ball and a greater number of shots, while Mirassol had only 3 shots on target, Ceara had 8 shots on target

Even with this big difference in the number of shots on target, Ceara was unable to score at least 1 goal, while Mirassol was very effective in attack, with few shots on target but scored 2 goals. The next games will be tomorrow and I have already placed my bet.

In my opinion, a professional bettor should be someone who can make a living from sports betting, someone who pays all their bills with sports betting. But what I've seen are people who consider themselves professional bettors but live off their streaming channels, their Telegram channels, and the courses they charge for.

They lie, post about luxury cars and houses, and lie that they bought them thanks to sports betting, but in reality, they bought them thanks to their streaming channels and Telegram channels, which they charge for membership. So, I confess that I haven't seen a professional bettor today. I've seen stories of people who made a lot of money with sports betting in the past.

Re: No Amount is Affordable in Gambling
by

on 24/07/2025, 22:17:37 UTC
We are used to say that a gambler should gamble with an amount he can afford to lose but in the actual sense do we think there is any amount a gambler can afford to lose?

Of course, there's an amount a gambler can afford to lose. For example, if you want to have a few beers, you have $20 to spend on beer. This is an amount that won't yield any return if you buy the beers and consume them, and you've already paid all your bills. That's why you can afford to spend the $20 on beer.

So, if you instead of taking that $20 that was meant for beer and having fun at a casino, then you've gambled with an amount you can afford to lose. Gambling and entertainment, like other forms of entertainment, when we spend $10 at the movies, we don't complain, so why complain when someone spends $10 at a casino for fun?

He's a professional player and makes decisions based on improving his professional level. Atalanta declined the moment they changed coaches. At his age, he can't afford to stay at a club that could decline even further and take him down with it. So, he decided to go to a club that would have a higher salary, but he didn't stop playing football. He could still return to European football one day. We can't continue to think that only European football is the best. We saw recently in the Club World Cup that teams from other leagues on other continents also have quality.

Yesterday was not a good day for Al-Ittihad, they played a friendly game in which they lost, but the problem was not only the defeat, it was the fact that they conceded 4 goals and were unable to score at least 1 goal of honor, they only had 5 shots on target, I know the game was friendly, but the good players from Al-Ittihad were in the squad, Benzema was playing.

Even if the argument is used that it was a friendly game and that's why the players didn't try hard, nobody likes to lose, this defeat is not good, but as I'm a fan of Al Nassr I hope they're not in good shape on the day of the game against Al Nassr to lose, it would be a very good victory for Al Nassr, in 3 days Al-Ittihad will play another friendly game, it will be against Fulham who is an opponent that cannot be underestimated

Benfica may reach an agreement with João Félix according to many sources, I will mention just one of the sources:

https://strictlycfc.com/benfica-intensify-talks-for-joao-felix-ahead-of-chelsea-exit/#google_vignette

But there's also another source, like Fabrizio Romano. It would be very good for him right now. Benfica is a team that can transform players. If he can work hard at Benfica, he'll have a better chance of becoming a good player again. Benfica needs attackers. Jao Felix didn't comment when the CNN journalist asked him about Benfica. He probably prefers to let the negotiations move forward without obstacles.

From what I read, Benfica would pay €27 million to buy half of his transfer, and he would agree to a salary reduction. That way, all that's left is for Chelsea to agree. From what I could gather, Rui Costa hopes to close a deal before the game against Fenerbahce that will take place this Saturday.

The results of today's matches were very good. I consider them good because Flamengo won and their biggest opponent in the standings draw. This makes things very good for Flamengo, which has a game left and is still only one point behind Cruzeiro. As expected in the Brasileirao, which always surprises with results, I even expected Cruzeiro to come away with a win today, given that Corinthians isn't doing so well, but I was surprised by the draw.

In the first half, Cruzeiro had a good opportunity to score, but they wasted it. In the second half, Corinthians started playing well, applied a lot of pressure, and had some good opportunities to score, but they couldn't. Fortunately, Cruzeiro didn't score. This draw is very good for Flamengo.

Yeah they dominated in all positions, as I said they looked like they where playing against Qarabag not Milan. Also they are filled nicely on every position now that Madueke and Nørgaard had arrived.
Regarding Gyokeres I did not see any official announcement in Arsenal News and Im not still sure if this is a done deal. The saga about Gyokeres is now going from the first day of July.
Do any of you have something solid about the transfer.
Have you heard about the legend Fabrizio Romano? This Man doesn't lie when it comes to football and players transfers. So far as Fabrizio Romano has reported that this club has signed certain player, just believe it to be true. The reason why Arsenal haven't announced it yet is because the player have to pass his medicals and sign all necessary documents before he can be confirmed by the club. Viktor Gyökeres transfer to Arsenal has passed the stage of "here we go" so technically he is already an Arsenal player and I believe the club will announce him in the next few days.

He is already an Arsenal player, finally for him the problem with Sporting is a closed matter

BREAKING: Viktor Gyökeres, new Arsenal player as every document has now been approved and exchanged.

Arsenal and Sporting completed the process with formal authorization to travel — medical to start in next 24h.

https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1948341358718001444

There were many days of confrontation between Sporting's management and the player, even leading to him missing training as a way of protesting against Sporting's management. He refused to play for Sporting again.

And when I thought that his case and that of Victor Osimhen would be unique, now I see that there is another case involving a good player who is at war with the management of his club. I'm talking about the case of Alexander Isak

Alexander Isak has not travelled with Newcastle to Singapore for pre-season tour.

Newcastle insist it’s not due to transfer reason with the striker still nursing minor thigh injury.

https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1948299211205701870

It seemed normal, until this news came:

BREAKING: Alexander Isak has informed Newcastle of his desire to explore a move this summer.

Club aware of player’s plans and will now decide how to move, as
@CraigHope_DM
 reports.

Newcastle have already re-started exploring a move for a top striker in the market.

https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1948345932619096095

It will be another problem involving the player with the club, he should have put pressure to go to Liverpool which is the best club, as a Liverpool fan I would be very happy with him at Liverpool.  Grin

I see sports betting as just entertainment. When I analyze the game, make decisions, and bet based on my analysis, I watch the game and get it right. I celebrate because that win was thanks to my analysis. That's the fun part for me. Now, if I were to watch the game, close my eyes, and bet on any team just counting on luck, I don't see the fun in that. But I've seen many people always betting on underdogs. Recently, there was a case on TV where a rich person bet on Chelsea to win the Club World Cup final. The odds were @5.00, and he won.

This guy did the same thing that the only Williams did to Barcelona. The guy wasn't sure he wanted to play in Turkey and even so he accepted a verbal agreement and then broke the agreement to accept Flamengo's offer. I think he didn't act in a good way. He could have told the president of Besiktas that he needed more time to think. When you give your word, you have to keep it. I hope Besiktas never looks for him again.

In fact, the situation is exactly the opposite of what you say. After the announcement of the agreement between the teams, the fans put a lot of pressure and campaigned that we don't want to see Emerson Royal at Beşiktaş. The reaction was so fast that the hashtag "We don't want Royal in Beşiktaş" tag was trending on Twitter. If Beşiktaş management listened to the fans and gave up on this transfer, they did the right thing. No transfer is made despite the fans. Especially when the agents are trying to push the so called garbage players of the big teams. They have no place in Beşiktaş.

if the Besiktas management listened to the fans, made a good decision in aborting this agreement, because Emerson Royal didn't play all last season at Milan. He got injured in January and hasn't played regularly for Milan

https://football-italia.net/emerson-royal-work-towards-full-milan-recovery/

I believe Milan's management realized he could get another long-term injury, and Milan would be paying his salary while he wasn't playing. That's why they decided to loan him to other clubs and would probably ask other clubs to buy him. Beşiktaş fans are to be congratulated.

Honestly, i don't understand what Juventus' player acquisition department is up to. They couldn't buy Osimhen, and Sancho said no. What's going on? i think they've run out of money and are bankrupt. Maybe i am wrong. However, these are very strange actions, honestly.

There are no money in serie A.
So if the owned dont' decide to put like 100-200 m € in the club, you need to sell what you don't want.
And you need to buy what the others do not want.

I can't see any team in Italy paying 70m for a player in these times.

It makes sense. Most of the signings I've seen the big Serie A clubs make are for under 50 million. I even wondered why some big Serie A club doesn't spend absurd amounts of money on a player. But reading your post, I'm starting to understand that they might be facing financial constraints. Now, what I can't understand is why Serie A clubs don't have money. Because I see stadiums with lots of people watching the games. I see lots of TV channels broadcasting Serie A games. So, why don't Serie A clubs have money?

Besiktas reached an agreement with AC Milan to have the player Emerson Royal on loan with an option to buy for €10m, he is a 26-year-old player and plays in the defense position, but the most unbelievable thing in this story is that after reaching a verbal agreement with Besiktas, he changed his mind

Emerson Royal to Besiktas, story confirmed and here we go!

Loan deal with €10m buy option clause agreed as Emerson will fly to Turkey in the upcoming days.

Verbal agreement with AC Milan done waiting on formal steps

which left the president of Besiktas in a very uncomfortable position

It can happen despite verbal agreement done and medical booked for the right back.

Flamengo have entered the deal for late hijack and both player and AC Milan are open to advance.

I hope Benfica takes advantage of Viktor Gyokeres' absence at Sporting and wins the match on July 31st. There are only a few days left. If Benfica loses, it's a strong sign that we won't achieve anything in this season that's starting off so poorly. I'm not confident with this Benfica coach. I don't think he'll be able to take advantage of Sporting's weaknesses. His problem is his attack, which isn't very efficient, and without Di Maria, things will be more difficult.

Benfica gets to the opponent's defense a lot, but they can't effectively score every time they get to the opponent's defense. Sporting, on the other hand, didn't need to get to the opponent's defense often; they were very effective in attack with Viktor Gyokeres. But without him, Sporting will be weak.

I agree with you @Wapfika. As a player, I always check the reputation first for any casino.
Right now, we don't have any open cases on Bitcointalk, You can check Casino Guru, Trustpilot, or any other platform to make sure. Everything is under control and totally transparent. Actually, Vave hired me so we can provide assistance to players here.
You know, every online casino has both good and bad reviews — that's normal. This is why, if you want to represent a casino, you need to be a player first… that way, you better understand the whole situation.

It's strange that I'm seeing this complaint against your casino on trustpilot

https://www.trustpilot.com/review/vave.com

I hope your casino has resolved this issue. Although I've seen many positive reviews about your casino, I still think you should always strive to respond quickly on Trustpilot whenever someone posts a complaint. This way, people will know the issue was addressed and resolved quickly, and they will trust your casino more. This is just my humble suggestion. because a casino with a good reputation attracts more customers

As a sports bettor, I prioritize my own analysis. Whenever I look at a game, I prefer to focus on personally analyzing both teams and then determine which team I consider the favorite. I don't base my analysis on the odds that bookmakers define as favorites. For example, let's say there's a game between Real Madrid and Bayern today.

Bookmakers place odds of @1.80 in favor of Real Madrid, @3.00 for a draw, and @2.50 for a Bayern win. I won't bet on Real Madrid without first carefully analyzing both teams. If, after my analysis, I conclude that Bayern is the favorite, then I'll bet on a Bayern win.

Al Nassr looks emptied out a bit, they really need to get some other star players to help out Ronaldo. Looking at them right now, he is feeling a bit alone, Mane didn't provide the help they thought he would, they need someone better. Plus, they still have a goalkeeper issue, have you seen the guy play? He was horrible, and as far as I know, this summer, they didn't get a new one, right? If they decide to play with him again, they are going to lose again, he concedes such simple goals, even Onana looks better than him.

Anyways I guess, this season, Al Nassr won't even be third place, they are going to battle for 4th or 5th, because other teams are doing a much better job. I see that they pay a ton to Ronaldo, so they don't have much left, but they need to do better.

I agree with you, even though it's a very financially stable club, I also don't understand why they're not making many signings. I know that Jorge Jesus is a very competent coach, but even he can't work miracles when the squad is very weak. For example, Al Ittihad is still active in the transfer market. Now they want to sign Ismael Bennacer, who is an Ac Milan player according to this source.

https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1948018186676482556

They also have the option of signing Brazilian player Marcus Wendel Valle da Silva, who plays for Zenit St. Petersburg. Note that Al Ittihad has a good squad, they are the current champions, but they are still making signings. If Al Nassr continues with the same defensive players and does not make new goalkeeper signings, it will be difficult next season. Last season they conceded 38 goals, they were the fourth-best team in defense. If they had conceded only 20 goals, they would have won the league.
