Using your savings to invest in crypto is really a BAD idea. We all know that crypto market isn't stable as stock market. Keep in mind to invest what you can afford to lose.

Anything else that should be done about this besides reporting spam to Telegram?

definitely a scam group and waiting for someone to be their victim. Do you have the specific telegram username of the channel?
Yes, definitely agree with this. KYC should be mandatory. We all know that bounty campaigns are full of alt accounts, cheaters etc, though it won't totally eradicate cheaters, it will somehow lessen this kind of activity. About the risk, well it's our role to check what project we are supporting.

But maybe we can use the KYC procedure not only for buyers but also for sellers. If we introduce such a procedure for new projects, it will increase the level of investor confidence, as well as deter many fake projects from collecting our funds, protect our crypto assets from fraud. This procedure can be entered in this forum to host projects or in special platform. The project developer will have to provide his personal and contact details.

For me this is good, it means crypto is now being on main stream but this can also be used to invade your privacy and use it in illegal ways.
