Re: MTGOX whistleblower...the plot thickens.

The problem with TBI's stance is that he's threatening to publish the information unless Vessenes and Matonis step down, which implies that he won't publish it if they do.

That's not bringing transparency to the activities of the Foundation.  If he has evidence of wrong-doing, then he should publish it whether or not Vessenes and Matonis step down.  If he doesn't, then he becomes complicit in the "cover up" he alleges is occurring.

He's rapidly becoming the kind of media whore he yesterday accused Leah McGrath Goodman of being.  Unless he's willing to publish and be damned regardless of whether or not Vessenes and Matonis step down, then he's not a crusader for truth at all - he's just another egomaniac seeking validation.

+1

Also, there's a lot of ordinary people who have lost money in Gox and if this guy has info about what went on he shouldn't be playing games with it.

Re: How to Buy Bitcoins with Ukash?
by

on 19/02/2014, 11:51:13 UTC
btc-e.com accept Ukash. Register with them and you can deposit the value of a Ukash voucher in your account and buy some btc.

don´t bother with depositing ukash into btc-e... fees are way too high

just looked it up and ukash is neither available for € nor for $ deposits... therefore I am not sure where you got the info from
that btc-e accepts ukash.

But as said in my quoted post the fees were a ripoff (like 7 % per deposit) anyways Wink

Says it on https://btc-e.com/page/2

Quote
Do you accept any alternate forms of payment such as Debit/Credit Cards?

At this time, BTC-e is currently not accepting any of these payment methods. All transactions carried out on our website are irreversible; therefore use of payment methods that are reversible would be a detrimental venture for us. The presently supported payment methods are : US Bank Wire, EU Bank Wire (SEPA), Visa, Mastercard, Liqpay.com, unikarta.com, PerfectMoney.com, WebCreds.com, Ukash.com, Webmoney.ru.

But like you say, ridiculous deposit fees and I'm sure it's a 2000 euro minimum deposit as well  Smiley

Thanks for the replies guys.

Tried plugging the monitor into the other card and got the same problem except this time it was with the other card (the one doing 300+ started going at 45 and vice versa) so maybe a dummy plug might be a worth a try.

Started to play with the settings in the config file but got no change to the performance of either card. Going to have more of a play around with the config after work tonight. Will update with results (or none results).

Has a block ever lasted this long before?
yes, there was at least one 12h block IIRC

I've seen almost 16 hours one time

confirmed, and it's not soo long ago either! I'm sure there will be plenty of 15min blocks again... though it seems a lot of miners have left slush during this block already... tststs impatient miners

Wow. Well I've come this far, I sure ain't bailing now  Smiley

Problem with 2 x 7850s on same motherboard
by

Hi, hoping someone can help a newbie with a little problem:

I've got 2 x Gigabyte 7850 's connected to an Asrock Extreme3 motherboard and I'm using cgminer.

One of the GPUs is working fine at over 300k/hs but the other one only gives around 45k/hs.

After a bit of googling and reading through a few threads on here, I was thinking I need to change the cgminer config file. But even after reading the readme files I'm not sure what I should be changing or even if it's the config at all.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated. And apologies in advance if I'm just being stupid and missing something obvious  Smiley

Config:

Newbie Hello
by

on 21/06/2013, 18:26:48 UTC
Hello. Another newbie here. Been reading up on crypto currencies after a lot of nagging from a mate and it's fair to say i've took the red pill. Looking at a bit of mining but also really interested to see where these currencies go.

Probably ask a few questions to begin with but once I know my stuff I can hopefully help others a bit.

Anyway, here's to a brave new world  Smiley
