Is there a problem with the block explorer? It seems every time i try and search my own address i get this error, Error 524 Ray ID: 43117482c4c73d0d • 2018-06-26 17:41:25 UTC

Further more if i go to the top 100 richlist the amount shown there is not what i have in my wallet, and if i let my wallet stake for a few days it suddenly shows a incorrect amount +- a couple of thousand BITS and i have to restart it to have the correct amount shown again. This is with the new v2.5 wallet.

Hi, Are you using new Explorer? (http://explorer.v2.bitstarcoin.com/)

I have tryed using google crome, microsoft edge and maxthon none of them works when i click or search my address using the newest block explore http://explorer.v2.bitstarcoin.com/

Im starting to think my wallet address is somehow "bugged" as the amount shown in the rich list is not reflecting the amount in my qt wallet.

You probably have too many transactions for the explorer to handle, its currently on a temp server.  As for amounts, could you have some in other addresses? (ie change addresses etc)

It could be that i have too many transactions, if i click any other address in the rich list it opens it just fine.

As for the amount when i do a listaddressgroupings in the older v2.0.0.1 qt wallet i can only find 1 address witch contains 0.001 BITS, but that still dosent add up for 351 BITS missing, hence i wanted to try and backtrack with the block explore.  Could it be that thees missing BITS are on the older blockchain and lost now?

I know i can clean all my transactions up by just sending it all to a new wallet and start a fresh, but its just that after almost 4 years i have memorized my main address and would hate to do it all over again.

on the v2.0 wallet it may be worth trying "repairwallet" from the debug console

I have tried the "repairwallet" command on the v2.0 wallet and all it returns is "wallet check passed" : true. And the amount stays the same in the wallet and not reflecting the rich list. Its not that its a too big of a deal to me that only 351BITS are missing i would just like to know where they are "hiding"?

@Bitstar_coin if you want i can empty my wallet and start a new one and then send you the old wallet.dat from both the v2.0 and v2.5? In case you want to run some debugging on it and see where the missing BITS went and why the v2.5 wallet sometimes jumps a couple of thousands +- BITS after staking for a few days, and if you are lucky to find the missing BITS its yours to keep Smiley

How do you get the wallet from v2.0.0.1-g32a928e to the new V2.5 wallet if we cannot move the wallet.dat?
I dont see anywhere to export the private key from the v2.0 wallet, a quick little quide would be much appriciated if anyone knows how to do it? Smiley
Do you have many addresses?
Do you use Windows?
Do you use QT wallet?
Only bitstard?

Only 2 addresses on windows 10 and yes im using the windows wallet and only bitstarcoin.

With only 2 addresses, the easiest way is to go to the debug console and "dumpprivkey" for each address, then install new wallet and let sync, once done on new wallet go to debug console and "importprivkey"

Cheers for the help it worked like a charm, but now my problem is with the new wallet my total amount keeps changing with a couple of K`s BITS. If i open my old wallet it shows the correct amount of BITS i have in my wallet.

Bitstarcoin v2.5 (barterdex compatible update)
None Mandatory update but is recommended
Download: https://github.com/bitstar/bitstarV2.5/releases/tag/v2.5.0.0
Source: https://github.com/bitstar/bitstarV2.5

Please note wallet.dat is not compatible with v1 and v2.0 (due to using a much newer libdb database), you would need to importprivkey or wallet

windows fast pack not working for me :-(

keep getting "database initialization error, remove everything from folder except wallet and start over"

help!

That's odd, I took it from my own windows wallet, is your wallet up to date?

I am the same symptom, too.

I am bitstar-qt-1.4.0.0-adgr-fs.

Is there a difference between bitstar-qt-1.4.0.0-adgr-fs-srvc?

windows10
"Error initializing databse enbironment C:\Users\\["Username"]\AppData\Roaming\Bitstar! To recover, BACKUP THAT DIRECTORY,then remove everything from it except for wallet.dat."

Clearing the wallet.dat you get the same message.

I had the exact same thing happen to me (alsow running win10) trying diffrent things would give me diffrent errors with the fast starter pack but that was the basic error i got too and had to resync from scratch witch took a good part of a week running 24/7

Hi all. I have news that is my own experience. From early days of bits I have been running all of my wallets with internet connection that is behind Internet Provider NAT. Under these connections, usually 3G and 4G mobile connections you dont get direct connections by opening modems NAT rouling from its configuration page ie. 192.168.1.1 or something else.

Well over month ago I got normal ADSL connection with public ip and now I am able to open NAT ports to all my wallets and now I am having more connections to network than ever. For Bitstar now 9 connections and its usually over 12 to 14 connections. Before this change I had 3 connections.  By opening Nat you can also download blockchain faster.

I hope this helps.

Personaly i have never had any problems getting connections to the network i have 15 atm. My problem is that the download of the blockchain is not consistens, it will download a few hours then hang for a while then start again, this has been a problem from the early days of the BITS wallet for me anyways. Any other wallet like BTC and LTC is downloading the blockchain consistens with no hangup so i dont know why why i have so many problems BITS wallet. And so far my wallet have been re downloading the blockchain for 4 days now been running 24/7 and stil needs to download about a year of blocks, i wish the fast start pack worked Sad

Alsow i have noticed http://bitstarcoin.com/ have been down for days now and if you go to https://www.blockexperts.com/bits# you can see the last block is 1670717 witch is 3days ago now, what is happening with BITS is it getting abandoned or are things being looked into? some updated info would be nice on whats going on.

I have managed to run the wallet again and I only get 2-3 peers.
Would you like to do a getpeerinfo on your wallet and tell us which peers you have connections with?
You go to your wallet, Help, debug window, console and type getpeerinfo and hit enter.
Mine shows the following

Finaly after 5-6days of 24/7 downloading the blockchain from beginning everything seems to be running correctly so far, and after being away from over a year i must say my first stake impressed me 1/3rd of what i had in my wallet Grin

Currently BITS is on block 1674090 as of date 07/08-2016 time 00:37:43 and comparing to https://www.blockexperts.com/bits it seems like their site is not showing correct info or not updating at all.

I can confirm that withdraws from bittrex works fine too as i managed to transfer the BITS i had there to my wallet with no problems at all. I currently have no BITS at poloniex so i cant test that.

Hi all. I have news that is my own experience. From early days of bits I have been running all of my wallets with internet connection that is behind Internet Provider NAT. I have always run off a ADSL+ connection but ppl having connection issues this could verry well be the problem youre having with the routing.

It`s been over a year since i had my wallet open so i downloaded the latest fast start pack, but when i copy the files blk0001.dat, blkindex.dat and the database dir and try to reopen the wallet it gives me a error saying Error initialising database enviorment. It say`s i have to delete everything in the roaming dir except wallet.dat but that makes it resync from beginning and that would take weeks to complete. Am i doing something wrong with the fast start pack? I have never had any problems doing this before.

Currently running v1.2.0.0-adgr and when it hit around 3000 mini transactions it made the wallet really slow, so i was forced to tidy it up and that was a real pain as it took many hours... Im running the wallet on a i7 4930k @ 4,7Ghz and 32Gb of ram so i dont think my pc is the limitation to the transactions, but i must admit i dont remember trying the repairwallet and then doing more then 67 transactions as i already spent the time on tidy it and now i keep it clean every 3-4 days, but ill try and let it accumulate more then 67 mini transactions and try the repairwallet function and get back with the result in a few days time Smiley

I can now confirm that i can send more than 67 inputs (just did it with 660) even if the bytes goes in red and says its over the limit. I just wish i knew this a few months back when i had to clean abit over 3k dust transactions Cry

You don't need to send them anywhere, just back to the same address as a single transaction.

Doing batches at a time, select up to 500 inputs from one address by drumming out a spacebar/down arrow combo down the list of inputs for a particular address, click send and do it to the address they come from, this will consolidate all inputs selected into a single one.

Once done for all the excess inputs, your wallet will perform much better and you can do housekeeping now and then by a simple send of an address balance back to itself without needing to manually select batches of inputs as long as there are less than 500 of them.

Pro-tip, wallet should be locked while you prepare the batch to send otherwise it might fail because some of the inputs are included in an amount that is staking.

My wallet only lets me use maximum 67 inputs or 9997 Bytes or else it says its over the limit and fails. Is there a trick to chose more inputs?

Tbh i have no idea as i dont have the gear to measure it on my test setup, i know the 750ti is TDP locked @ 38,5watts i have 2 of thees just for testing purpose. One of them is flashed to 65,5watts TDP while the other one is stock TDP. Crypto mining blog already did some testing on 750ti http://cryptomining-blog.com/tag/gtx-750-ti-power-consumption/ http://cryptomining-blog.com/3036-power-usage-of-geforce-gtx-750-ti-with-various-crypto-algorithms/

Unfortunately, unless they are specifically mining at NF=16, there's not really a great gauge.  Because of the memory requirements of the coin, not all of the shaders can be utilized, so the card is running at a portion of it's full capabilities.  The best way to tell is to plug your system into a kill-a-watt or similar device and take an idle reading of the watts, and then take a reading while running various mining configurations.  You may find that a slightly lower hashrate (perhaps from a lower lookup-gap) yields a higher hash-per-watt, and that may be of interest to some people.  I haven't taken wattage readings since NF=14, but I was measuring about 25W per R7 240 at that time, and ~32W per R7 250.

Not to mention the efficiency of the psu will also have a impact on the system as a whole. 25W from a R7 240 is nice, something tells me they will outshine the 750ti when NF gets even higher as you can get them in 4Gb versions compared to the 750ti with only 2Gb.

That setting should give around 0,22-0,23Khs. core clock is +155 and memory clock is +475 in msi afterburner.

That's too low. You can get 1200 H/s from your card -> http://www.whattomine.com/

Default(start) values are adapted for 1000 kh/s of Scrypt(280x). (copyed from whattomine)

A 750ti does roughly 260Khs scrypt can be bumped to about 330Khs with oc and the bios mod for more power. 1,2Khs was maybe true when nf was 15 but not at nf 16. If you know a config for a 750ti that does 1,2Khs at nf 16 then by all means please post it.

1000 H/s for a 280x and 1200 H/s for a 750ti, those are the default values for Chacha Nf16. Are you saying that both are too high?

It calculates it after the scrypt hash rate, the default rate they put in is 1000Khs. Try changing the scrypt hash rate and see what happens in the chacha hash rate tab. My r9 280x runs 760Khs in scrypt mode but only 255Hs when mining YAC, my 750ti run 336Khs in scrypt mode and 240Hs mining YAC, both speeds are at current N factor 16. Basicaly its just gives you a rough estimate of hash rate for the diffrent algo when you put in the scrypt hash rate.

Could you please tell us the power usage on your cards to get those 255 H/s (R9 280x) and 240 H/s(750Ti)? Thank you!

I know, I am the owner Cheesy The current (wrong) multiplier for yac was 0.001, which would put 280x at 730hash/s. I distinctly remember someone giving me those number when yac went nf16. Well hard lesson for the next time to always confirm by yourself.

Haha yer i was wondering if i missed something and could push my crads higher, but props on that setting for the 750ti  Wink gives me 0,40Khs on my cards Grin
