Just tried to get manual payout, didn't get anything, the transaction isn't even on any blockchain explorer, what's up? Sad

Turns out I'm just a massively impatient moron, all fine now Embarrassed

How long did it take you from paying out to actually seeing the transaction on the blockchain? 50btc is showing me a txid that doesn't exist...

40-80 minutes, can't be exactly sure, the transaction ID they gave me didn't seem to work for me either, I can't load the site to double check right now, but I use blockchain as one of my wallets and yeah they told me about the transaction eventually, it states it took 38 minutes to confirm

Re: [LTC] [Mining] Extremely large amount of invalid shares with Reaper

litecoin.conf

Code:
host newlc.ozco.in
port 80
user #removed#
pass #removed#

protocol litecoin

worksize 256
aggression 11
threads_per_gpu 2
sharethreads 18
lookup_gap 2
gpu_thread_concurrency 10144

I admit I know those settings are probably wrong for my 7850 but I assumed they'd just cause me to get lower speeds ^

reaper.conf

Code:
kernel reaper.cl
save_binaries yes
enable_graceful_shutdown no
long_polling yes
platform 0
device 0
mine litecoin

 Huh Thanks

Mining with a single 7850, not on "max" intensity/aggression or anything

I'll reply with any other info you need

Almost 10pm eastern standard time. Trying to connect with 50 Miner but am getting a popup message in Russian. I can't read Russian and can't even type it here because I don't have a Russian keyboard! But I will try- "Ownbka aBTOpn3aunn"   Wink

Never had a problem before and using the pool for six months.

OK just a few minutes later and I can connect and mine now. Not sure what happened. However it was disconcerting to get that message in Russian.

I was getting this too, I am fairly certain it was just an untranslated error for "can't connect to server" or something along those lines, seeing as I can load the site now I assume the DDoS mentioned above has passed, yay!

Pool is under a DDoS attack, we are doing our best to restore the normal operation as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Sucks Sad Just started using your pool + the 50Miner yesterday/today, hope everything smooths out as soon as possible man, this has been my favorite pool so far over my couple of days trying different ones (sorry for pool hopping :c)

Will keep a lookout for bitminter when they decide to implement litecoin support.
As of now all my equipment has gone over to solomining litecoins. but what a hassle compared to bitminter!=)

Bitminter will be my goto pool for litecoins!

One other question, it is to my understanding that it is not possible to use fpga/asics for mining litecoins due to bitcoins is sha256 and litecoin is something else.
Can this issue be overcommed? (hope not since all my rigs are gpu...) did a count earlier and found out i have 15 cards running.

Half the reason everyone is switching to LTC is because ASICs (not sure about FPGA) cannot do scrypt things very well, if at all.

What version is this?

2.11.2

The latest version which is 2.11.3 I believe simply closes seconds after I start it, so I can't use it for some reason

In CGMiner, if I leave my self mining for any decent period of time (8+ hours) I tend to get this happen with my queued/accepted shares:

I keep hearing the Linux thing as idea to fix it.  Do you know where I would download a bootable version that would work?

http://www.linuxliveusb.com/

This tool is AMAZING for putting linux onto a USB stick and leaving your windows install alone, if you have good internet you may as well pick a distro like Ubuntu (or one of the lighter weight Ubuntu versions) which should have the most support for AMD I believe

And... why is it better than the around-forever unetbootin?

http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

Preference, I guess, unetbootin didn't work for my intel atom netbook but LLUsb did

Heh yeh I know what's OS, gweedo got me right Tongue

Cause then you know for certain it has no virus or malware, since it has never touched the internet and can't steal your bitcoins.

But since the offline machine will never go online, what harm can a virus do? It can't send my bitcoins to anyone since the computer is not connected to internet.

Is it because viruses in general, viruses that can fuck up your computer in general? I realize that any sort of a virus poses a threat to a computer, connected to internet or not. But if a computer will never again go online, can a virus pose a threat to the bitcoins? A virus can fuck up a computer but if you have backuped your wallet, are your coins in danger?

Many known and unknown viruses can spread over networks and USB sticks too, and more than likely any other method of transferring data from A to B

Will the difficulty for mining ever realistically decrease again?

Just wondering, and it's probably a silly question, I'm not 100% sure how the difficulty is "set" but it's dropped before according to the thing on 50BTC, just wondering if anyone can see the diff' dropping once more? Though, I doubt it with ASICs coming fairly soon (already, a bit).

Re: Mining vs BitVisitor - why bother mining?
by

on 24/03/2013, 18:20:45 UTC
Ok - I won't bother doing any of this anymore.  Looks like I won't be playing in the Bitcoin world at all then.

Pfft.....

How the hell does Bitcoin expect to grow if it can't/won't be attractive to those of us who support the 'cause' but can't compete with the techno experts?

Long term viability to the average member of the masses is critical to Bitcoin's - or any alternative currency's - success.

Most people using bitcoin don't mine it.

So I accidentally paid someone with what I think is a payment with 0 fees at all and it's stuck on this:

http://i.imgur.com/ctq4FmX.png

The payment was around 0.15 and I'm fairly sure I managed to not pay any fees, so yeah, how long is it gonna take to confirm?

Edit: Forgot to say this was 2-3 hours ago, though it's jumped up too http://i.imgur.com/7OIfQtN.png now so maybe this thread was useless :c
